View 9 RepliesI was wondering if there is a way to reset the time tracking in AutoCAD. For example, If I use an existing drawing as a starting point for a new drawing, even if I save with a new file name, AutoCAD tracks form the time the original document was created.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm laying out a drawing with all tabletops used in our project for a linolium- fitter to set a price on covering the about 12 tabletops in total.
I dont know if this is correct English or if it make sense at all, but what I was wondering about was: Could you retrieve the total m2 of all the tabletops in a drawing? Or do I have to go back to the aim and get them one by one?
re-set the file type each and every blessed time they want to open up a new file from within Photoshop (this is not a problem if you use Bridge)?
is no preference for this action and it is inexplicable that Adobe would make it this way unless they are determined that one can only open files using Bridge.
CorelDraw X6 Patch 3 HF 1 (although this seems consistent across a number of versions)
We've noticed in some of our files (especially files that have been around for a long time) that the Document Properties lists a lot more fonts than are actually used in the file. Additionally, other users are prompted to replace missing fonts that aren't used in the file either.
Is there some way to have CorelDraw rebuild/purge its Document Properties (or at least the fonts)?
For some unknown reason I am not able to change the properties of my tool palettes - see attached image. Haven't changed anything for a while but was working a few months ago.Unsure if I have accidentally changed any settings but the issue is on my Autocad LT 2013 and LT 2014.

View 4 Replies View Relatedhow to edit the schema/properties of an SDF in Map 3D? I need to edit existing properties. I have followed the instructions in 'Help', but even after clicking on 'Edit Schema' in the schema editor, I have no luck. I have been able to add/delete properties but have not been able to edit other things (such as existing property titles, display order, Type etc).
I have about 30 SDF files that were converted from SHP using FME. I know I can manipulate them in FME but each file has different properties and it will take me quilte a bit of time as I am not super familiar with it.
before when reset scale it will have 1:1000, 1:2000, something like that.
now when reset it is same as autocad. which is like 1:1 (should be 1000), 1:2 (should be 2000)
what changed? i know it's just the name but this is bad. shoudln't change something like this all the sudden. hopefully is some variable.
working in metric.

Is there a way to reset the stacked text globally on a drawing? Or is the only way to select text individually and update it a hundred times or so?

I need to change a text item in about 200 drawings. I would rather do this at one time if at all possible.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIn the DWG of my AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013 project, I just created a parcel manually - see the first attched file. It had "Property : 1" on the original DWG, when I created.
I selected this parcel => Properties tab =>Information =>Style:Create/Edit=>Parcel Styleroperty=>Design=>Parcel name template=> Name Template/ Name: <[Parcel Style Name (CP)]>:<[Parcel Number]> was changed to SHC Lot: <[Parcel Number]> to get the new parcel name "SHC Lot : 1" on the DWG successfully - see the second attached file.
I tried to add some chemical results (23.5 mg/kg Arsenic; 66.7 mg/kg Lead; 88.9 mg/kg Mercury) into the parcel. So I selected this parcel => Properties tab => Information => Parcel Area Label Style: Create/Edit =>Parcel Name: => Layout / Label Style Composer/Component name: Parcel Name =>Text: Contents <[Name(CP)]>
I clicked on the "Arrow" sign to bring the <[Description]> into the right-hand-side of Text Component Editor - Contents. I don't know how to finish this step and how to close the "Properties of Parcel" tab on the left-hand-side of the DWG (The selection of Parcel is still on). How to finish the last step and how to close the "Properties of Parcel" tab.
Does Inventor 2013 have any means of tracking editing time?
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I'm changing a view title or any info, the box desactivate in a second, so I don't even have time to enter one letter. I have to clic 2 to 3 times and be quick to type something before it load. (I can enter 1 or 2 letter and it's loading it as a new name before I can write the whole word ...)
I have properties and project tree vertically stacked, and when I scroll down in properties, it scroll back up automatically, I can't reach the lower info without play with scroll to keep it down..

how I can update the physical properties for a part or assembly, from a drawing? My drawing template is showing the total weight for the current part/assembly, and I would love if Inventor could update this using iLogic, so I don't get the "N/A" value all the time.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have installed the autocad ObjectARX 2011 and .Net wizzard to start writing a .Net application for adding custom drawing parameters to all our acad drawings. I have found two issues detailed below. This is my first attempt at using c# with autocad so any pointers on what I am doing wrong will be well received.
1. If add the AcDbMgd.dll and AcMgd.dll references and set copy local to false as the documentation advises then I get a FileNotFoundException, could not load file or assembly 'acdbmgd'. If I set the copy local to true then the error goes away.
2. I tried using the code below to add a paramater but I get an exception on the first line System.TypeLoadException: Method 'CopyTo'.

How would I go about editing drawing properties (Title, Author & custom props) without using AutoCAD. I need to replicate within VB.NET the windows explorer RMB > Properties capability.
I have heard mention of DWGProps.dll but cannot find it anywhere.
I have Custom Properties on Drawing File. Naturally it is non-editable. But from AutoCAD When I write Command "DWGPROPS" it can be edited. I does not want it to be edited at any time.
Is it Possible to lock it using Coding? Or CAN we disable the Command "DWGPROPS" of AUTOCAD into AutoCAD?

If the current drawing is found to be a member of a sheet set (using sysvar SSFOUND) it cycles through all the sheet in the sheet set looking for a sheet entry that matches.
