Illustrator :: Keep Black Stroke Of Character While Rigging For AE
Nov 13, 2012Creating a character to animate in AE. When cutting up model, like the arm, the continuity of the black stroke becomes broken when rotated. I know a lot of people do not use black strokes or outlines thereby not having the problem, but I want to keep my black outlines of my character.

Feb 12, 2013When I import points from a survey database there is a very large new number being assigned to points that have overlap/numbering conflicts.
I had some survey from one source that was in the 1000 pt # range & additional survey that was in same numbering sequence.
When importing the points I chose "Resolve all" it is renumbering the Point number value to the 5xxxxxxxx range?
Is there some setting where I can change this to a lower # or how/why this is happening?
Next Point Number value @ Settings Tab>Point>Commands>CreatePoints>Point Identity>Next Point Number = 3.
I've attached a couple of captions illustrating the issue.

3ds Max Animation :: How To Draw Curves In Character Studio Workbench
Oct 17, 2011I'm trying to adjust some walk animations. But I can't seem to use the Draw Curves option on a biped. Not in the workbench, nor in the curve editor.
I do notice that the Z, Y, & X curves are all in the same lane (transform), while on primitives for example, there are suboptions for the X, Y & Z axis. Normally I choose one of those, and start drawing curves.
So, the question is: How do I Draw Curves in Charachter Studio's workbench / on a biped?
GIMP :: Stretch 471 Pixel Wide Logo To 2500 Pixels Wide?
May 4, 2011I have got a logo that is 451 x197. It has a resolution of 72 px. I am trying to increase the resolution so that I can use the image for business cards and letterhead.
I need for the image to have a width of about 2500 pixels. If I scale the image to 2500 pixels the edges look pixelized or blurry.
My question is: Is there a way that I can make the 471 px logo stretch to 2500 px and still have sharp edges?
Photoshop :: Character Tool - Setting Size Or Tracking Makes It Jumping To Random Number?
Aug 5, 2013'm using a Mac with the latest version of the Creative Cloud. I've been stuck with the sillest problem ever with the Character Tool.It started with the size tool. If I set it to 200px and press enter, it will suddently jump to 11443.91 px. It does the same thing if I use the slider (clicking the tT and sliding up and down), it will show me the right number, but the second I let it go, it jumps to a complete random number. If I put it at 300 px, it goes to 11443.91px ... again.Now, all the other character tools are doing the exact same thing. The line-height, the tracking, everything.
Here's all my system info if you need it:

I thought I might be able to do this with the blob brush at least, but it doesn't seem to let me draw with a stroke and fill set.

I did this by first drawing a line, then outlining the stroke, but the point is I want to be able to draw lines like this as I go, not constantly convert to outlines...

Jun 24, 2013I have a problem with my brush and pencil tool. Whenever I want to draw an object without a stroke and just a fill, it immediately assigns me a stroke in either the colour my fill is, or, if I'm using a gradient, in black. It doesn't have that problem with the pen tool though. I also checked in my presettings and my Transform plaette that the "Align to Pixel Grid" option is unchecked. Also, the "New Art has basic appearance" is unchecked.

Sep 17, 2012I'm using a block with thick polylines. When i copy it to another drawing the thickness does'nt show anymore, only the contours drawn in thin lines.
How do I get my wide polylines to show correctly? Is there a setting I should know about?

All we have is an alignment and a surface. In one region we need to calculate the stripping that is 6m wide x 1m deep.
I used LinkOffsetOnSurface to get the surface elevation on the left and right side.
I then tried using the stripping subassemblies but no luck.
because we have a number of regions and assemblies we would rather use corridors than creating a stripping surface.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Publishing With Office Wide Page Setup Overrides?
Nov 14, 2012Without our office, we set up Sheet Sets for every set of drawings we produce, and we setup Page Setup Overrides specific to those drawings from which we can print. We may setup one for printing fullsize PDFs, another for in-house half-size plots, and another for 11x17 printing. The Overrides are saved on our office network.
We've been having an issue where the plotter(s) in the various Overrides won't work initially when someone other than the creator is printing. That person will have to open up the 'Manage Page Setup Overrides' tab, select 'Modify' for the Override they wish to change, and select the plotter to use in that Override (the plotter always defaults to 'None'). They can publish from that particular drawing set just fine until someone else in the office needs to print using an Override, in which case they go through the same procedure listed above.
We're using network printers only, and we've verified that the printer names, ports, etc. are all the same between the various computers, so different naming or port selection doesn't seem to be an issue.

Jan 4, 2013I have a shape with a black stroke and green fill. I have a white line segment over it. How do I get it so that the end of the line segment doesn't show over the black stroke of the object? If I try to put the line segment behind the object, then the object fill hides it completely.
I'm new to illustrator and I've tried to search for an answer but I don't know the best way to accomplish what I want to do. Seems like some combination of transparency or knockout groups and I've read a bit about this and can't figure out what I need to do.

Apr 9, 2013I'm trying to figure out a way to automate a simple, yet repetative process I do countless times a day. Ideally, I'd like to tie it to a keystroke to speed up my workflow.
I work on line art and colorways for footwear, so the way I'm coloring these shapes and strokes break apart the different materials and pieces of the shoe.
While coloring line art, I work with Pantone spot colors as fills for closed path objects. I then have to manually apply that same color to the stroke, set the stroke to 0.5px weight, convert that spot stroke color to CMYK, and add 15% to the K value.
I found some code in an older post for applying the actively selected object's fill color to the stroke, but I'm having but I'm having trouble with the next step of figuring out how to take that spot stroke color and convert it to a CMYK build that I can then add 15% black to. Is this something that's even possible? I've spent about an hour playing with the script and have only had luck matching the fill color or turning the stroke white.
Photoshop :: Wide Gamut Calibration?
Feb 27, 2012A very similar problem as discussed, but not solved before:[URL]...Planar 26-inch Wide gamut LCD, Eye One Display 2 and latest Lightroom. Just upgraded to Win7 64bit and kaboom. After hardware calibration and profiling all colors in Windows looks great but pictures from my camera (GF2) look dull in LR and don't match what I see when save for Web and look through the web.
Same images opened on calibrated XP machine looks fine, all colors are as expected. If I don't use hardware calibration on Win7 machine and just tweak the sliders in control panel->color management the colors look somewhat off but not dull and consistent and behave as I expect and used to. I've tried both ColorEyes DisplayPro and i1 Match programs in simple and advance modes with the similar (bad) results.
Photoshop :: Adaptive Wide Angle (CS6)
Jun 9, 2013When I try to use "Auto" correction in the new Adaptive Wide Angle filter, it pops up with "No matching lens profile found". I searched for information and was directed to go to the Lens Correction filter. I pressed the "Search Online" button. The first time it comes back with "Connection timeout", but the second time it says "No online profiles found". Come on, really?!
ACR has my lens profile (Canon 24-105 f/4 IS), why can't PS CS6 find it? Is there a workaround? I'd really like to use the Adaptive Wide Angle filter.

Jul 12, 2011My project is NOT wide-screen. So I go to Settings and undo wide-screen. Everything is now fine. But, the next time I start up VS Pro X4, I find it has reset itself to wide-screen. Must I undo this each time I start up. I can't find anything in preferences that will keep it at my project setting.

I'm investigating getting a wide gamut monitor( prob Eizo or NEC), but other forums say that there are issues. Some of you are probably using wide gamut monitors, so I thought I'd see what you think.
The concerns seem to be when using the monitor for non-imaging applications, since not all other applications are color managed. "They" say that sRGB JPG's look especially bad on the webb. I would think color managed stuff should be OK. What do you guys think? Worth it or not?

Oct 19, 2008The Photoshop CS4 layers palette is too wide and distorts the layout of the default color swatches palette when docked on the same column. And I don't want to have to put the color swatches palette anywhere else but the same column. Can the layers palette be fixed so that it can be as narrow as the other palettes, so it won't cause a conflict with the swatches layout?
