AutoCad :: Break A Line But For Circles And Ellipses
Aug 15, 2011I would like to ask a question on “Break at point”.
It is possible to break a line but for circles and ellipses, my attempts resulted in no break at all (see attached picture).
Does “Break at point” support circles and ellipses? If you have a circle and you would like to make it a ¾ circle arc, or any arbitrary angle, how do you do that?

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Automated Way To Convert Ellipses Into Circles?
Jul 2, 2013I have a large amount of "ellipses" in a Civil 3D 2013 drawing that were created as "circles" in Cyclone 8.03 (the laser scanning software from Leica-Geosystems). I need to work with circles so I can label the diameter of each in my drawing. Is there a way to automatically convert these ellipses, that have the same exact minor and major axis, into circles? Other wise I will have to reapeat the work in Civil 3D using the same point cloud!

Sep 11, 2013I drawning 2 circle as radius 250mm.the distance between two circle is 0.08mm I drawing one line segment between two circle and I Expanding line segment as length 20mm.then I offset this line The amount 2.5 mm in vertical side up.
When I trim these horizontal line that are Cross-Being with two circle the Remaining line segment is shorter than real distance between two arcs I thinks its happening?
Also I attached 7 pics I try show my problem.
Also when I want obtain horizontal distance with distance command or by linear the intersection is not start from circumference.
whats this and how I can get real horizontal distance between two arcs
AutoCad :: PDF Missing Border Lines Around Circles And Ellipses As Well As Some Bleeding Of Colors

The PDF comes out missing little bits of border lines around circles and elipses as well as some bleeding of colors.
Photoshop :: Wide Gamut Monitors
Sep 8, 2008Though not really a PS question, this is the community that is likely to understand my concern. I'm investigating getting a wide gamut monitor( prob Eizo or NEC), but other forums say that there are issues. Some of you are probably using wide gamut monitors, so I thought I'd see what you think.
The concerns seem to be when using the monitor for non-imaging applications, since not all other applications are color managed. "They" say that sRGB JPG's look especially bad on the webb. I would think color managed stuff should be OK. What do you guys think? Worth it or not?
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: Ellipses / Circles / Pies And Arcs Not Rotating About Center
Nov 16, 2012I have two adjacent circles. I created two tangent lines between them on opposite sides. I want to connect the lines to the circles. So - I make the circle into a pie, and with the node editing tool, drag the nodes around until I see the little info text go from edge to "node" where it snaps on the nope of the line.
Before I start this, the lines are perfectly tangent. When complete, the lines are no longer tangent and the circle is shifted upwards, and is moved off the perfect tangent by different amount for each line. I can see a difference at 3200% and 11000% zoom at 0.5 point lines.
This occurs if I rotate the circle, or make the circle into an arc also.
It seems that when the circle is drawn, the center point about which its rotated, and from where the arcs/pies are drawn is not exactly center. This is happening when I manually rotate it. It I rotate it giving it a specific degree in the properties bar across the top, it rotates fine. For instance, repeating this again, the arcs of the circle is below one line, and above the other live by a lesser degree.

When I section a view and edit the hatches, the 'Edit Hatch Pattern' window always opens off-screen. I have changed the settings in the GPU control panel to have everything open on the last window, but this window will not abide. I move the window to the Inventor window (monitor 2), but it will re-open back to monitor 1 in the exact same position every time.
The 'Edit Hatch Pattern' window seems to be the only window that does this in Inventor. Attached is a screen cap of the issue. The window opens in the same place each time.

VideoStudio :: Using Pro X4 Wide Screen Keeps Coming On?
Jul 12, 2011My project is NOT wide-screen. So I go to Settings and undo wide-screen. Everything is now fine. But, the next time I start up VS Pro X4, I find it has reset itself to wide-screen. Must I undo this each time I start up. I can't find anything in preferences that will keep it at my project setting.

I will want to create some "wide-screen" format wallpapers, so wondering what dimensions those usually are - should I assume that is determined by the actual dimensions of my monitor??? May 10, 2011I'm relativly new to 3ds and have built a model which I now need to walkthrough and save the file as a video file. I have used the walthrough assistant and created 4000 image (jpeg) files. I have loaded into RAM player and it runs, although only takes 50% of the images in. Each image file is only 236kb and renders at 1024 x614. I try to save the file as an .avi file and the system immediatly crashes with the explanation "Not responding". Machine spec should be fine with 8gig of RAM,Intel Xeon quad 2.66, 64bit win 7 and Nvidia Quadro FX4800
My questions are:
"What is the best way to create a walkthrough as a video file to be shown on wide screen TV's?"
"Is there a maximum amount of memory RAM player can use?"
"Should I use RAM player at all and just save as an AVI?, this has been tried but if I try the full 4000 frames it also crashes and fails to save".

Apr 2, 2010Sometimes when I view vector art on the screen the letter I shows up extra wide and big, but the printed version works fine. Example below. This only happens some of the time to me, but not always with the same piece of artwork. I think this must be a common problem.

May 4, 2011I have got a logo that is 451 x197. It has a resolution of 72 px. I am trying to increase the resolution so that I can use the image for business cards and letterhead.
I need for the image to have a width of about 2500 pixels. If I scale the image to 2500 pixels the edges look pixelized or blurry.
My question is: Is there a way that I can make the 471 px logo stretch to 2500 px and still have sharp edges?

2 little blue boxes. What happens when i see these symbols, If I move a line and it's connected to other lines it will latch onto them and effectively drag them. I don't want it to do this, I don't know what to search for, spent a few days trying to find what it is because it nearly ruined a whole development!

Jan 24, 2012I am trying to write a *simple* DXF export procedure in a Delphi program.
I can generate PolyLines, Text and Circles OK but am having real problems with Ellipses. No matter what I put for the posn & axis, I just get a tiny circle drawn at 0,0. Oddly one DXF viewer (online) does show the ellipse correctly but 3 others do not.
Because this is a very simple application, I have not bothered with a Header (or Block & Table) section but from what I have read that should not be a problem.
I have attached the test DXF I have created.

Sep 23, 2011I often use Inventor to generate 2D views of things for AutoCAD. Once I get the view into AutoCAD, I want to copy the outline, make a polyline of it, decurve it and make a wipe out of that.
This is all well and good until Inventor exports an ellipse in the drawing. They can't be converted to a polyline. So, is there some way to force Inventor to export them as some other entity type or is there a way to convert them in AutoCAD that I'm not aware of? The only two things I've tried are flatten and explode and neither of them works.
Photoshop :: Canvas Stretches All Way To Right
Aug 6, 2013I clicked something by accident in CS4 and now the canvas stretches all the way to the right, with a couple of panels floating over the upper right part of the expanded canvas, with right scroll bar obscured by those floating panels. I want it back to what I believe is default, with the panels in their own static section on the right, separate from the canvas.Where is "reset" or something else to restore?

Feb 11, 2005I'm trying to make a logo. Circular logo with an inner ring maybe 4 px wide and 15 px inside the rim of the outer circle.
Basically I want a blue circle with a yellow inside ring. What's the best way of doing this? The only thing i can think of is: creating a blue circle marquee, and then another (trying to estimate a new circle size and change the color) that is yellow, and then making another smaller blue circle inside the new one. That's just ugly.
I tried the edit/stroke but that just gave me a stroke around the outer circle; it didn't put a ring inside the circle 15 px down.
Also I tried to contract the original circle by selecting it, then Modify/contract. That's got me a selected ring, inside the circle. Now how in the world do I make that little ring yellow? It just remains selected and I can't seem to find a way to color it.
Photoshop :: Placing Text On Arc Distorts/Stretches...
Nov 12, 2008I recently placed text on an arc in Photoshop and found that it appears to stretch the text as well. I placed the same text on a circle in Illustrator and then placed it on top of the text in Photoshop. When the two lines of text were then made to have letters of the same height, the letters were not the same width (Photoshop letters were wider). Illustrator appears to maintain the aspect ratio of each letter when placing text on a curve while Photoshop does not.
Is this known to happen? Is there a way to place text on an arc in Photoshop that does not distort/deform the letters of the text in any way other than to place them on an arc?

Jun 3, 2013I'm here with 2013 SP2 64 bit Build 200 and two screens. Left screen is graphics area, Browser is on the left of right screen. Graphics is ATI Fire Pro V7800 with driver 9.3.3.3000.
In video (zipped MP4) you see a cutout of both screens, think of screens changing at the left of the browser.
Now, in many cases, after doing an operation, the browser is jumping back to the middle of my graphics in the left screen.
