AutoCAD Inventor :: VBA Code To Toggle Custom Button Image?
Jun 5, 2013I have created some custom button in VBA. I wish I can make those buttons toggling their image.
For example my custom button toggles Part/Component priority or Highligt on/off and I would like the button image will change showing the current state.
The background image color change will work too, or the some extra tiny mark on working sceen would be useful if it quite complicated to deal with ribbons.
Generally I need to see the current state at glance.

Jun 12, 2012I am trying to adjust two D800 files simultaniously. Thus I select both images, toggle the Sync button to the Auto Sync state.
But, the adjustments done to the most selected image do not copy over to the other image, while this is the expected behaviour.

AutoCad :: Creating Block With A Button?
Dec 19, 2011ive got a block which ads a revision, description of change, drawn by and date to an existing titleblock. The small block has attributes, is there a way to make it so that when its double clicked it oped the ddatte dialog box? my comoputer is set so that when double clicking a block with attributes this happens which is fine, but on some of the other computers in the office it comes up with a different properties dialog box. I was thinking of a button which when clicked envokes the ddatte command for that block, I know how to do it in excel for eg but am just wondering if its possible to do something simialar in cad?

However, most tutorials out there give instructions for how to do it with only text over the button. How would I do it if it's got three different sections to it? A photo on the top half and two colors on the left and right on the bottom?

Jan 2, 2013I am growing increasinly frustrated. I just installed AutoCAD LT 2013 on my laptop. I managed to get everything customized the way I want, except the button icons on my (classic) toolbar are much too small. If I go into the menu and select 'use large icons', they are too huge. My screen resolution DOES NOT need to be changed or adjusted. I went to the help menu to see what I can do, and found that I can go into CUI and adjust the size of the button icons that way, via the button image editor, however there is no 'button image editor' dialog box when I select any given toolbar command.

Aug 3, 2004I have a .psd file that was created by someone else for my friends web page. The psd file is the background, logo, and navigational bar for her home page. Each button is a "slice" I think because there are lines around each button on the left side navigational bar (not a true navigational bar just created by buttons) and around the head and body etc. (The lines are blue if that tells you anything - each section is numbered with a little tiny icon that looks a little like the back of an envelope.)
My question - we wanted to change the word on one of the buttons - I did that saved the psd file - no problem. Then I cropped out the button that we had changed. When I saved it to the web (as a jpg) the button looks like a button (a box around it - not a line a raised area that looks like a button.) The other buttons do NOT look like a button (even though the layers are named buttons.)
How can I change it so it looks flat (not button like) like all of the rest of the items on the navigational bar.

When using object snap and you are drawing with a busy survey xref in the background, the mouse cursor really hunts around a lot on the contour lines and stuff instead of on what I am drawing. But, I would like to see the contour lines as I go, rather than hide the layer.

Sep 18, 2012I can press F2 to open the AutoCAD Text Window, but I'm looking for a reliable way to close it once it's open. If it's not overlapping with AutoCAD, F2 doesn't close it. I currently have it on a monitor other than the monitor AutoCAD is on.

Dec 12, 2013I am looking for a way to change the toggle polar On/Off from F10 to F6. I already did it with the "delete" and the "Ortho" keys but i can't find the macro for the toggle polar on/off.

AutoCad 2D :: Toggle Between Ortho On / Off - Measure Command
Jan 28, 2013I have moved onto a new machine and there are 2 AC functions I need to change.
1. I used to be able to toggle between Ortho on/off by holding the SHIFT key, on this machine it doesn't activate. Is there a command for this? I know I could use F8 but my hand is over the SHIFT key when I draw so its easier to do it this way.
2. When I activate the MEASURE command AC automatically activates Dynamic Input which makes my cursor jumpy when I move it. How can I stop this from happening? To clarify, I don't want Dynamic Input on when I am in the measure command.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Using A Rule To Toggle Part Visibility
Jun 12, 2012I have a simple Assembly for a Frame that I made with Frame Generator. I'd like to use a rule to toggle the visible of some of the framing members.
In the sub assembly (called Frame0001:1) I created a rule:
(I have a variable called LeftAngle, and the bar I want to toggle is called Bar1.)
If LeftAngle = 90 then
Component.Visible("Bar1") = False
Else
Component.Visible("Bar1") = True
End If
I am sure this is VERY basic, but I can't get it to do anything. There is no error message - just nothing happens.
I know the rule is running though - it will change other parameters in response to the If Then statement.

Sep 2, 2013I am trying to draft an assembly - when i want to hide some components I go to the tree and right click on the part/assembly and select Visibility.
There is a square next to visibility on the right click menu (like a 'stop' button) and nothing changes when i select it.
When I right click on the tree a second time, a tick appears (like in modelling/assembly view) and when selected it disappears.
I want to turn items off in one click -
