AutoCad :: Borders From Template Folder

I could only afford AutoCAD 2000, I need to take drawings created by other people and import them to my own and then annotate them before submission to the client.All well and good except..I also need to produce my own border etc..I'm sure that this is bread and butter to the majority of members...
My question, what is the most intensive (and cheap) method of learning the basic fundamental skills that will allow me to do the things that I have described above?I've tried Control C and then V in my own document but nothing came out, I've since used WBLOCK and I now have a drawing in my own file, how do I get a border to fit it, how do I edit the details in the borders from the template folder.

the location of the template folder or files. I'm not sure if it's (C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\.gimp-2.8\templates) which nothing is there. or if it's (C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\share\gimp\2.0) in which case I can't find anything there either...
I need to delete some files/templates.

I have a problem where I am unsure if my upgraded template is incompatible with Revit 2013 or is there something else at play.
If I create a precast stair in default template I get "end with riser" turned on automaticaly. If I copy that stair to my template and create new stair, "end with riser" is turned off and I manually have to adjust stair afterwards.
Problem is "end with riser" is now an instance parameter of stairs and I can't find where to change the default value.
Why is the stair type that works in default template stuffed when copied to my template?

How to create a border around the limits I set using LIMMAX. Are the limits (after setting up previous steps) what is visible on the screen? I see the X,Y coordinates in the middle of my view finder. Can I set them using REC?

I have recently configured various borders for our Inventor software and have now turned to AutoCAD to do the same.
Within Inventor you can specify grid references around the border. eg A-F along the top and 1-5 on the vertical. Can this be done with AutoCAD 2011????

In the past couple C3D versions, I've had these random borders show up in my simple tables. I have a table for my legend and another one I use for a list of references. I use no borders for these tables but sometimes when I edit a cell somewhere in the table, the random border will appear. I remove it and then sometimes it reappears again later. It's usually the top line of the second row, second column only but occasionally it will be when I add a row into an existing table.

I have a problem that when I add elements to a layout view. These elements contain parts of my drawing and have an outline to them in the layout view. This is handy when working in the layou view, but they are also being plotted when I export to PDF. How can I make these borders disappear in the plots?

When I set the number of zones for borders to 'zero' and label to 'non'e then it's not possible to get it back.
I can change the parameters but the border stays empty.

The thing is that I want to replace borders (and titleblock) The DRTWizard doesn't let me change the default borders into my own borders.
I've found a tool for this from Rene J and it does changes the borders but the zones are coming up empty.

I have a little issue I’ve never encountered regarding the border color not retained by the cells. I’ve created a table style to use throughout our drawing set. I have merged cells for the table title, as well as section titles in the table. I have set colors associated to the borders. All is fine, until I click in any cell to make a change, then all the merged cells lose some or all colors associated to the table (see below). I’ve even tried locking the format, but it still happens.

Not sure if it's a bug or not but when removing a whole project the "random" folder(s) are still in the Media Storage folder. Everything connected to the project(s) are gone but not the random folder smoke creates when creating project files. Any specific reason their still in the Media Storage folder?
Im a bit of a neat-freak... After removing a whole project, is it safe to remove all the empty folders? Or would that cause problems for other projects?

When I open Elements 9 in Folder Location the images displayed are not those in the highlighted folder. Similarly if I select another folder I see another selection of images from elsewhere in the structure.

I'm new to Elements 10 and I'm having a hard time figuring things out but 1 thing in particular. I'm on a PC and use Windows 7.I already import a lot of pic's to Elements or so I thought.
When I'm in "Folder Location" and click on a folder it doesn't display any pictures and says "No files from this folder have been imported into Elements Organizer. To add any files, right click on the folder and select "Import to Organizer"
So I do as I'm told and then i get this error."Nothing was imported. The files or folders selected to import did not contain any supported file types or the files are already in this catalog."

When importing something off of a DVD or CD how do I direct Lightroom to copy the imported images or folder to a specific folder on my hard drive? It seems to default to MyCatalog but leaves the location on the CD rather than copying it to the drive. If I remove the CD the images is reported as missing.
When I go to the top of the screen for importing I can change the source but the location info on the right is not active or changeable.I am new to lightroom and coming from Photoshop Elements background.

I have another question about installing LR5. How do I manage to install the program to a special folder and not the custom folder on drive c:?
I just run the installation through application manager. I set the installation folder within my presets to d:adobe...
But anyway it was installed on hard drive c:
A direct download of the installer from adobe is not possible unfortunately.

I was in the process of moving a folder inside or LR. I might have clicked and moved it twice since it was very slow. LR wasn't able to complete the move and gave me an error message. After I clicked "OK" on the error message, I wasn't able to find my folder/images from the old or new location. I did a spotlight search on my mac, but I wasn't able to find them anywhere. Where has my folder/images gone? I tried to locate them without any success.

I'm having a very frustrating glitch when working with *.idw drawings. Whenever I create a new sheet in the drawing, the boarder on several of the other sheets resizes, and which sheets resize as well as the size they change to seems completely random.
For example, I have an 8-sheet drawing. If I go to the last sheet, which is B-sized, and then RMB->New Sheet in the browser, Inventor creates the new sheet just fine. As I go back up and look at all my sheets, the boarder for sheets 1, 2 and 8 (B-size sheets) has been changed to C-sized. Sheet 3, an A-size, has its boarder as a C-size as well. Sheets 4-5 (C-sized) and 6-7 (B-sized) are just fine. I deleted the new sheet, went to sheet 5 instead, and then created the new sheet. This caused different sheets to change to different random boarder sizes.

I have one surface (surveyed pts) that I would like to paste onto another larger surface (say a LIDAR or GIS base). The extents of the small surface are entirely within the extents of the larger surface. The small surface does, however, have some interior areas without any data ('holes' if you will). In these areas, I want the paste operation to result in just the original base surface... but the paste operation assumes I want the new composite surface to also have a hole...
Screen shot illustrating attached with example surfaces. Is there a way to paste only the surface and not the holes?

there is a possible way that the borders that the 3dface command creats will not be visible. I am attaching a foto in order to explain it better. the red arrows at the foto show the borders that i don t want to be seen at the final product.
In order to make it more clear, i have to say that these borders are not lines that i have drawed. these are lines that are created by choosing the 4 points that the 3dface command needs.

I've got about 10,000 photos that I've moved in lightroom by creating a folder called 'pictures' on the external drive using the left folders panel. I then selected all the images in the root drive on my computer and dragged them onto the 'pictures' folder on the external drive, and I expected the folder structure to come with it. Only after I realised that they had all moved into one folder. Is there a way of moving the images back into a structure without manually doing it? Here's a screenshot.....

Im using the most recent version of Lightroom 5.3 (updated through CC - even though this has shown up on previous version) on Windows 7 and all the folders in my library are showing up with the directory path in front of my folder names. How can I get rid of this? I do not see any options in preferences to turn this off. I have also turned off preferences in Windows > Folder Options Control Panel "Display full Path in Title bar" option.
I have Lightroom on several computers and have set up preferences the same on each workstation, and this only shows up on one workstation.

I just finished importing my photos to Elements, and was going to add the folder I keep them in to my watched folders, to keep them up to date. Since everything imported just fine, I was surprised to find that I got the following error when trying to add the folder:
The Watch Folder service returned an error: Access is denied.
I looked around the site using search and Google, and found a few other occurences of this error, but they all only show answers that apply to network shares. The folder I am trying to watch is not a network drive that I have to use a \serverfolder format to access, as the folder is located on my hard drive under C:UsersusernameGoogle DrivePictures.

Installed Elements 12, converted catalog but now my sub folders are shown as main folders in Organizer folder view. How can I get back my original folder/sub folder system? When I look at Windows folders my system is as it was so the two don't match any more. On searching further came across more info on Community-powered support for Photoshop Family and it seems Adobe have removed the option of sub folders.
