AutoCad :: Batch Plot - Save As Box Not Appearing

Nov 12, 2013

When I try to batch plot from Autocad 2009, using pdf 995, the save as dialog box does not open. I do not print in background, The drawings all process correctly. When it comes to the end nothing happens. I have <publishcollate> set at <1>

It worked once or twice a while back. I cannot get to the root of the problem.

The same happens with the plot to dwg standard plot on cad.

The only way I can do a successful batch plot is if I set the file location on the plot to dwg prior to print.

However, the plot to dwg does not plot our firms titleblock correctly.

AutoCAD 2013 :: Batch Plot - Save As List

I normally turn off the Batch Plot (Save As List) feature cause I never use it, however recently I turned it on and saved my choice.

How do I turn it off again? Is there a variable for this one?

AutoCad :: Setup Batch Plot To Save Files

Nov 8, 2011

Is there a way to set up batch plot so it saves the files on it's own? Right now I have to wait for the box with the name to pop up and then I hit OK and then have to wait for each file like that?

I found a setting and changed it from "Prompt for name" and changed it to "Specify Name" but that did not do the trick.

AutoCAD Print / Plot :: Change Plot Setup To Multiple Sheets For Use With Batch Plot

May 21, 2013

I have one drawing per file at model tab. When I need to plot a multiple page file, I use:

Print > Batch Plot.

The problem is that I have to set plot configurations ( plot style table, plot area, paper size, etc) in each file before use Batch Plot.

Now I received 722 files with a wrong Plot Style Table. For this time I change the associated *.ctb file at Plot Style folder, but I will need to associate the right *.ctb to each drawing. It's also common to have to change other properties.

AutoCad :: Plot To PDF With Batch Plot Or Export Drawing To PDF

Mar 17, 2011

AutoCAD 2011 - XP - 2 Machine office

When I use the pdf plot drivers from AutoCAD or the export to pdf option the resulting pdf is not available to the other computer trying to access it through a shared folder.

When I plot to pdf with batch plot or export the drawing to pdf and save the file in the shared folder, the other computer can not open the pdf (file not found) or attach the file to an email (you do not have permission)

Why is this? All other files share and open fine. Only pdf files from batch plot, plot to dwg to pc3, or export to pdf. This is a pain and I still have to use another plot driver (cutepdf) to get a fully useable pdf for our office.

AutoCad :: PDF Not Appearing On Plot?

Apr 10, 2012

One of my co-workers had an issue with a drawing, and she had a PDF file XREF'd into model space on a layer called "XREF", and she had created a viewport in paperspace and you could see that the PDF file was there. However, when you plot it, the PDF does not plot. The layer is on, and is not frozen in the viewport, and is also a plottable layer, so techicially, there should be no reason why it shouldn't appear when plotted.

The only way I could get the PDF to plot, was to remove it from model space and place it in paper space, and then I could get it to plot out. The reason for placing it in model space to begin with is so we could create a polygonal viewport and not be limited to just the rectangular shape of the PDF page. Also, with the PDF in paperspace, we can't XCLIP it and are limited to just reducing or enlarging the PDF page, which in this instance was an 8-1/2 x 11 landscape page.

Why the PDF does not plot on paper when XREF'd into modelspace but it plots out fine when the PDF is in paperspace?

AutoCAD Print / Plot :: Phantom Lines Appearing In PDF Plots

Jun 19, 2013

I'm having a problem with "phantom" lines appearing in PDF plots.

The Situation:

The firm I work for often uses Excel tables in Autocad LT 2013. I have learned through experience its better to use a linked table, but in this situation only paste special is an option due to time constraints.

Basically when we try to plot a DWG with tables specially pasted in the drawing space phantom lines appear.

But only when we try to convert to PDF. In the plot preview everything is fine, but when the PDF is created vertical lines appear in the tables on the actual PDF.

I've tried many different options to fix this but so far the only thing that has worked is, converting the DWG to a DWF and opening in Design Review. From there I plot to PDF and everything is fine, no lines appear.

In the DWG I have tried tweaking the Plot Quality for the "pasted" tables to no avail.

AutoCAD Print / Plot :: Black Box Appearing On Xref Image When Plotting?

As are the line-drawings from two other xref on top of the image. The problem accourse both when I try to a physical copy on our plotter and when I try to plot to a pdf.

I'm working in autoCAD 2013 for mac and the files I'm working on are located on a server.

AutoCAD LT :: Batch Plot Not Plotting Anything?

Nov 13, 2012

New hard drive, had to reinstall LT 2010 (Win XP).  Trying to batch plot, going through the normal prompts, little plotter icon in lower right does its thing, then the message says "errors and warnings found".  When I open the "plot and publish details", there are no errors or warnings, and the plot file i just attempted does not show up at all.  Tried different variations, none work.

The first couple of times i tried it, it seemed there was a problem with the default path for the output file, in the publish options window, as if it could not see the server, but then i would browse, point to the exact same server folder, and it accepted it.  Also tried to save the output folder on my c: drive, but still no file.   I will need to make this plot file by tomorrow for the client, or i will have to send them 40 individual pdf's.

AutoCad :: Batch Plot Just Tab Names?

Apr 6, 2012

So when I batch plot I get the name of the drawing file followed by a dash then the tab name. For instance the drawing file is: MSA-01 Plans.dwg and the tab is W-101, when I batch plot I get [MSA-01 Plans - W-101.pdf].

We never had duplicated sheets so I was curious to save the time of me cleaning up the file names everytime, if I could batchplot with just the tab name.

AutoCad :: Batch Plot To PDF With Custom Filenames

Jan 6, 2014

how I can do a batch plot to PDF whilst appending some element to the end of the filename?

Using AutoCAD 2011's batch plot, or TrueView 2014's batch plot the default PDF filename when plotting to PDF appears to be:

<file_name>-<layout_name>.pdf

Which is okay. But I want to append to that the revision of the layout (C1, C2, etc.) which I currently store in a title block as a block attribute value. Any method for somehow pulling this out and including it after the filename such that I could end up with:

<file_name>-<layout_name>-<revision>.pdf

We're currently trying to transition to using the Sheet Set Manager, is the above any easier to achieve using that?

AutoCad :: Batch Plot To PDFs In 2010?

AutoCAD MEP 2010

I've used batch plot to make pdf copies of my drawings in version 2004 and did not have this issue:

In 2010 when I use batch plot to pdf (say for 5 drawings), it produces one single pdf file with 5 sheets. I want an individual pdf file for each drawing (5 pdfs).

I don't want to have to open each drawing and plot. That's what batch plot is for!

AutoCAD 2013 :: Batch Plot Multiple Copies

Dec 14, 2012

We upgraded to AutoCAD 2013 earlier this year (from 2002 - archaic!), and I've run into an odd glitch when using the batch plot utility. It seems to work fine when I'm only making one copy of a set of drawings. When I need to print more than one copy, Bathc plot does one of two things: it either plots a single complete set instead of the quantity I have entered, or it prints the correct quantity of all but the last sheet I've requested. It doesn't seem to matter how many sheets in the set, or how many copies, and I have yet to find a way to predict which outcome I'm going to get.

Apparently this is a known issue in CS6 and previous versions but whether this has been fixed in Photoshop CC?
