I´m having problem with creating stl file from surface. I need to import stl in another program for rockfalls. I have create surface, extrude faces and union them.. an save like stl file.
But in another program my surface is not smooth, like something went wrong while exporting stl, because in autocad civil 3D 2012 everything look good.
Problem with display fonts..I am getting on well with AutoCAD but when I try something new I often find a problem. I want to either..Import a graphics image form a paint programme or an illustration both of which are in JPG format. I can’t find a way to do this.
OR
Use display fonts to recreate the graphic directly in AutoCAD.I want to use an uncommon font “Monotpe Corciva”, Although this is listed in the styles manager it does not display in the Model Space.
Since installing Lightroom 5, the program hangs during the import process. I never had this issue with Lightroom 4, but recently had a system crash and lost my former catalog. There are about 140,000 images to be imported from a 3TB hard drive.
I'm running a PC with 24 GB of RAM, a 128 GB SSD boot drive and a dedicated 128 GB SSD dirve for Photoshop/Bridge/Lightroom cache.
every time I open it. A single message appears 'lightroom opening catalog: marsh-essex-country.jpg.ircat'. I had the last time I used the program tried to import a jpg image from my pictures. It failed the and now the program consistently crashes, in the faulting module msver100.dll
I have reinstalled Lightroom and it does no good.

I was wanting some info on the best way to model a new character. I would like opinions on zbrush, poser, etc. Something that is very compatible with max.
What is the process that you take when creating a character. Don't feel the neeed to write a book I get the basics. Been out of the game for a while, but very glad to be back. Been playing around with fumefx, houdinni ocean, and ivy lately.
Trying to import images as dng and crashes my computer. It writes to a temp folder and cannot delete the temp folder bc there is error in writing to it. Mac OSX. Have done this many time with no problem. I can make adjustments inside the program and when I export the modified images to another folder it writes to a temp folder as well. but doesnt crash the system.

I tried to import another file and the import function would not work. In addition, it disabled about 90 percent of the program. Menu selections had turned grey. I closed the project and program and restarted, opening a much smaller project. Worked OK until I tried to import. The import wouldn't work, and the program was disabled. This is not a case of actually selecting a file to import. The function crashes before you have a chance to actually select a file. On deadline.

The purchasing group in my company need to batch plot autocad dwg files to pdf files to send to vendors. They do not have AutoCAD on their computers. I have done searches on the internet for programs, but I am leary of donwloading them. If I use the AtoCAD API in a program can I make it so they don't need AutoCAD to plot?
View 2 Replies View Related I use Autocad 2011 to read and modify drawings supplied by my client for the design and installation of ducting. I was going along nicely although slowly due to my transition from Visual cad. These are two completely different program and Autocad seems incredibly complicated until you start to learn a few commands and figure out how to navigate around the program.
Anyway, I have had about 20 hours with the program and am on the bottom of the learning curve when for some reason, the method of working suddenly changed, I am not aware of making the changes and cannot see how to change back.
First off, if I drew a few lines and then wanted to delete them, I simply selected each line and pressed delete. This was the same for most commands, I would select the items and then click the command.
Now, I have to click the command, then select the items and press enter. The main problem with this is that to delete anything, I now have to select "cut" or "erase", select all of the items and then press enter.
What I want to do is select the items and press delete but the delete key no longer works. how to get back to using my delete key.
I am looking for a program or anything that will red line onto PDF's.

If I double click (or accidentally click twice) on the main menu (the "A" in the upper left corner), AutoCAD quits. It doesn't actually crash; if I have unsaved edits it asks me if I want to save them, and if I hit "cancel", the program keeps running, but it is a bit of an annoyance. Is this a bug or a feature?

When I try Inventor I get a capatibility error and I follow the link and get the SP1 file but it says it also no capatible. When I try and launch Autocad 2013 I get an error thas says" acad.exe This app has failed to start because its side by side configuration is in correct" I als have Revit 2013 on my system and an error comes up saying "This app was unable to start correctly (Oxc0150002)"

The first problem is , if one of the files has a macro, the vba dialogbox appears which interrupts the progress. How can I disable the macro and block the dialogbox?
Another problem is, it will take a very long time to open a file by the CAD application after processing 10 or 20 files later. I have closed the file and disposed the document object by using the Dispose() method after opening. The application looks like crashing and the memory used by CAD is up to 200~300M which is only 50~80M when the first sevral files was processed.
I was trying to make a block of an elevation, no more than 150 objects and the program had a FATAL ERROR; I tryed again and again and always the same fatality.

In addition, certain areas won't hatch because the program is telling me I have open boundaries which is not the case.
