I am using AutoCAD 2010 and when I open and run a drawing for a while the AutoCAD program hangs and won't respond. I have to close the program and then reopen AutoCAD. How come AutoCAD keeps doing this
View 5 RepliesOn Windows 7, PS CS6 64bits hangs onto a side of desktop and does not respond as it launches. No error messages. 32 bits works fine. PS5.5 64 bit works fine. Only the regular windows 7 updates (no driver updates or other program updates other than Adobe Acrobat Reader) have been installed since I installed PS CS6 extended.

It takes forever when workiing tagging photos, writing comments at bottom of picture etc. I am continually haviing to "wait for program to respond" ???
I have an AutoLISP program that hangs up for no apparent reason. I can run the program with an Alert in the loop. The program is a sheet generator, creating a border (insert with attributes), dimensions and MultiLeaders in Model Space, then a new Layout Tab is generated and the new elements are CHSPACEd into the new layout. An Alert temporarily halts the program once the task of a new Layout is created. In this form, the program works as designed. However, if I comment out the Alert, the program hangs up as if in an infinite loop. Also, hitting Escape does not cancel the AutoLISP, I must use Task Manager to end AutoCAD instead. My computer was recently upgraded to Win7 64-bit. I'm running 64-bit versions of software. (AutoCAD MAP 2011).
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to Studio X6 and downloaded service pack 1. I had this same problem with X4, and was in hopes X6 would eliminate it.
I open a project and I want to add a jpeg image, so I drill down to the folder where the file is located and it hangs there with the little blue circle going around, and no files appear and I get a message "Not Responding" I I must close the program or wait for it to respond, which it never does.
Since installing Lightroom 5, the program hangs during the import process. I never had this issue with Lightroom 4, but recently had a system crash and lost my former catalog. There are about 140,000 images to be imported from a 3TB hard drive.
I'm running a PC with 24 GB of RAM, a 128 GB SSD boot drive and a dedicated 128 GB SSD dirve for Photoshop/Bridge/Lightroom cache.
I have problem with opening the corel draw 12 software. When i opened this, the program hangs all the time and cant access anymore.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been having problems with Autocad 2012 (running on Windows 7/64bit) where it keeps getting hung up and I get the spinning wheel and the (not responding) message... I notice this happens most often when I am editing attributes of a block, editing text (by double click or through the properties window), or printing to PDF. I am unable to shut down autocad, Windows 7 will not let me end the process in the task manager, and I have to shut off the power on my laptop to force it to shut down. On the few occasions where I got the window to close, Autocad would not re-open, the start up screen would just get stuck at Initializing..
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to run Inventor.exe it shows loading window and then it disappear and there's no response. I've tried to run it from Start->(..)->Inventor and any possible location but nothing worked. I've also tried solution with deleting C:ProgramDataAutodeskADLMCascadeInfo.cas file but this doesn't worked either. Autodesk DWG True View, ReCap and others work correctly. I use student version of Inventor 2014. It has been working previously 6 or 7 times. Same issue was with Inventor 2013 after 3 months no using.

I have noticed while running both Civil 3D 2011, and AutoCAD 2011, that the software tends to "not respond" pretty frequently. It also seems to lag every once in a while when scrolling. Not sure if maybe there is something else I need to do to optimize my computer to be able to handle the civil 3D software better? I would think the triple core processor and 8 gigs of ram would be enough, but maybe not.

I’m wondering why the “dimensions” doesn’t respond as the “annotation scale” changes when the “Automatically add scales to annotative objects when the annotation scale changes” is OFF?
To reproduce this bug, you must set the Command Line in the new semi-transparent style as featured in AutoCAD 2013. If it's docked in old-fashion like previous AutoCAD versions, the bug won't work.
When there's no command active, you have the following Command Line with the text "Type a command":
If you press the Escape key to cancel (weither you're in a command or not), AutoCAD focus on the command line with a bar sign and the transparent background turns white:
Now if you move the crosshair with your mouse in the drawing area, the Command Line bar sign will revert back to the "Type a command" text, which is fine.
But if the mouse cursor hovers the Ribbon region and you press the escape key, and then you click a Ribbon button, instead of executing the button's command/macro, the Command Line will simply revert to the "Type a command" text. So in the Ribbon area, if you want a Ribbon button to work, you must not have the bar sign in the Command Line. This gets annoying when you often have the habit of pressing escape while in a command and having the mouse ready to chose another command in the Ribbon.
My guess is that the new Command Line format in 2013 may have focus priority issues with other AutoCAD pallettes like the Ribbon. In AutoCAD 2012, the Command Line did not have a friendly "Type a command" message. So it probably has to do with this new implementation when AutoCAD decides when you have the "Type a command" text or the sign bar.
The cells of the table don’t respond to the chosen height/length
1.I’m wondering why the cells of the table don’t respond as a particular value is typed for them.
2.Also, If all cells are selected to be given a particular height/width then they don’t respond as well.
3.Originally, the inserted table doesn’t respect the value of width assigned for it!

Using Windows 7 64 bit, radeon card, 8 GB ram, 500Gb hd.
This only started today, and I can't continue with my school work until it's fixed.
When selecting polygons Extrude Settings using either the ribbon or the button, I am unable to enter a number, select any of the spinners (cannot change group to single polygon, cannot increase/decrease amount) and I cannot select Okay (checkmark) Okay and go on, or cancel. At one point the mouse would give a double-headed arrow and allow me to slide the amount up and down, but I still cannot accept it with okay, or cancel it.
It is doing this in all of my saved files, not just one in one project.
When clicking on the icon, the program does not start or respond at all.

Today, in the middle of correcting a large job (500 pictures), it suddenly stopped working. The message is "Lightroom is not responding". Everything is locked up. Eventually, it unlocks, but then, when I try to do anything it locks up again. I have checked my computer for usage issues and other programs are performing normally.

When I want to choose a tool using my keyboard (for example "A"), it responds after pressing the key 10 times or so.. It takes 2 times longer to make a drawing than with Illustrator CS6.

View 4 Replies View Related time it is 3D objects not responding to keyframe animation changes. I have tried creating a new 3D object. I have tried dragging and dropping the new object in to the target doc. I can't copy it withou t rasterizing. Do I have to develop the object from scratch from within the doc? I hope not. the target doc is already very large, this 3D object being the final element. Here are some screen shots
This is what happenes after dragging the 3d object from one spot the another on the canvas. There is only one object. the other is a ghost and disappears after I move in the time line. the actual 3d object remains in the position of the first keyframe no matter how many times I try to move it. Each time I get the "ghost" obejct before moving in the timeline.
Here is a screen shot of the timeline where the keyframes are registering but the object does not move to the new location. Just the "ghost" object appears and then is gone when I move in the timelineHere is the same object on it's own it the original doc . I had no trouble getting it to respond to keframe changes on it's own.acreen shot of the target doc's layer panel. I guess I need to know if there is a way to import a 3D object into a n existing doc without haing to develop in that doc.
So, my laptop crashed, and I had to start again from scratch. I reinstalled Photoshop CS4 from my CD, and it loaded fine. Only now, no matter which tool I choose from the toolbar (blur, zoom, clone, etc,) it will only show the Hand (move tool?) And that doesnt even work.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy PSP X3 locked up and I had to use the Task Manager to close it due to "not responding." This has repeated each time I have tried to load the program, including trying the suggestion of pressing "Shift" and trying to launch the program on a reset. There's no error message, it doesn't get that far. The welcome screen loads, shows the program is updating the cache, etc. but then it goes to no response, no error message, just 100% locked up. Have to use the Task Manage every single time to get it to close.
Right before this happened yesterday, I also experienced difficulty copy and pasting one image or selection into another. No paste commands would appear. I tried doing the "clear" selection as posted online, but no real answer on that either.
short of uninstalling and going through all that crap again. I'd buy the latest version, but since I've had no end of problems with this version I am hesitant to move forward if there are more bugs.
Another problem already! My tool options dialog box is greyed out and will not respond; won't allow me to choose options.
I clicked it off and brought it back (via windows, etc.) but it's still grey and nonfunctioning.
