So, my laptop crashed, and I had to start again from scratch. I reinstalled Photoshop CS4 from my CD, and it loaded fine. Only now, no matter which tool I choose from the toolbar (blur, zoom, clone, etc,) it will only show the Hand (move tool?) And that doesnt even work.

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to run Inventor.exe it shows loading window and then it disappear and there's no response. I've tried to run it from Start->(..)->Inventor and any possible location but nothing worked. I've also tried solution with deleting C:ProgramDataAutodeskADLMCascadeInfo.cas file but this doesn't worked either. Autodesk DWG True View, ReCap and others work correctly. I use student version of Inventor 2014. It has been working previously 6 or 7 times. Same issue was with Inventor 2013 after 3 months no using.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSome time ago, the Gimp stopped responding to my mouse in the image window. In other windows and on menus the mouse works fine (ie I can select brushes and such and use the interface without problems), but in the image window (or more precisely, the canvas area) it's as if the mouse doesn't even exist. All kinds of clicks are ignored, the rulers doesn't show the position of the cursor, and the position in the lower left also isn't updated (it isset once upon entering the window, but after that it's dead).
This originally happened out of the blue one day while using Gimp 2.2.11 . I tried upgrading to 2.2.12 and then 2.3.13, without success. I also deleted the ~/.gimp*directory in the hope that regenerating the config would fix the problem, but no.
No matter what I do, I can't make the Gimp recognize the mouse in the image window. The mouse isn't anything special, and it used to work with the exact same X config I've got now. I haven't changed the xorg.conf file in several months. The Gimp is the only application with this problem.
This is on a dual-core amd64 processor in 64-bit mode (haven't tried 32-bit), Linux kernel 2.6.18, Xorg 7.1.
When I go to open my Illustrator application, it starts up, but right away when it is starting up it doesn't respond and it freezes while Illustrator is reading fonts.

View 7 Replies View RelatedThis is a incosistent problem, in which I cannot determine why it's happening and it doesn't happen all the time. I often restart Lightroom and it is ok after that.
In a small area of the screen the curser doesn't function. I cannot select an image or anything in that area while in the library module and when in the develop module brushes change back to the arrow icon and don't allow me to click in that area.
This is my first time using Lightroom and am currently using version 4.3 that I downloaded from the Mac App store. I am running a new MacBook Pro with OS 10.8.2 Mountain lion.

I may not be describing it right, but this is what it should look like..I've tried looking it up online and in the Help section of the program but it doesn't seem as if there is a way to turn it off let alone turn it back on. Am i missing something here?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe draw order toolbar icon is displayed on screen. When I try to change the draw order, I hit the toolbar and get an AI_Draworder unknown command. I even moved the toolbar in a different part of the screen. The only why I can now change the draw order on an entity is the type in the word draworder in the command line. Is there any way to reactiviate the draw order toolbar?

I have uninstalled and reinstalled, same problem, I did change a preference for storage of photos to and external harddrive because of large files prior to any trouble is all I can think off ,but if that is the problem..how do I change that preference if I can't open the program, Im on a mac 10.8, its only a month old etc ..

I had to send my laptop back to HP for repair. They replaced my Optical Drive and did a complete System Reinstall. I got my laptop back this past Monday, May 13. I reinstalled most of my programs and some of my pictures folders. I also reinstalled my Elements 7 and everything was working great.
Problem A -
On Tuesday, I reinstalled CS6 and that's when my problems started. CS6 took over all my PSE files, so I chose to "always open with PSE" option. Now all I have, instead of a nice, blue PSE icon I have a white paper with a smaller PSE icon in the center.

Also, some of my fonts seem to have disappeared - now when I open a PSE file I get a msg that the font is missing and that I need to choose another font (something like that, I forgot to write it down)
Problem B -
Today I was trying to open some Vector files and I couldn't find the option to make them into PNG files. And, the Editor froze up twice! and twice I had to force-quit my computer.
Questions
1 - Why are my PSE icons showing up like a "page" as shown above?
2 - Is there a way to get my regular icon back?
3 - Where did my Fonts go and how can I get them back?
4 - Why can't I save my images as PNG?
5 - Why is CS6 freezing up?
I recently bought a new computer & re-installed photoshop CS5.1 successfully, but can't get the plug ins to work (phototools 2.5 & perfect effects 3, which were a free download with purchase). I am running windows 7 64bit. I copied & pasted them into the plug ins folder (in both applications of photoshop - there is the 32 bit version on 'program files (x86)' & the 64 bit version in 'program files'), but neither will work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the original Photoshop CS on an old Mac with OS 10.5.8. The program had been working fine for ages. Now, all of a sudden when I try to launch it the program crashes. It's defaulting to the Finder view, but I can't even close that out before the program quits. I have tried to launch it by opening a file and that does not work either.
I even uninstalled and re-installed the program and it still crashed.
Just purchased a Mac Mini and installed from disc my CS4. It is not opening any raw files taken with the Canon 50D, but will open raw files taken with Canon 20D.

You should be able to show and hide partial customization menu toolbars with the -toolbar command because it can hide all toolbars including my partial customization menu toolbars currently shown. I've tried the toolbar menu alias (defined in the CUI command) and the name (refer to this link to the same image embedded below) and none work.
I had a problem with a tool in my Photoshop 6.0 and decided to completely uninstall it and after that, I rebooted my system and reinstalled the program. That specific tool (paint bucket) and all others work great now. I did notice a problem afterwards though, where if I navigate to MY DOCUMENTS in the bottom toolbar and scroll through my various named folders in that vertical list, no JPEG files are visible.
Is there some kind of setting in PS I need to tweak so I can see / access them directly? The other head-scratcher is if I go to START>MY DOCUMENTS and access those same various named folders that way, ALL the jpeg files are visible. I have a Maxtor USB drive connected to my CPU and that did not want them to reappear either, if it's within Photoshop?
I own Photoshop CS3. My computer hard drive crashed so I am reinstalling everything.
I originally downloaded CS3 from Adobe and I have the product Key. I have a backup of the original Adobe files that I downloaded in 2010, on a CD. I put a copy of the files on my new C: drive and then installed the software. It installed fine, but when I open up CS3 it freezes, it shows the CS3 menus but I can't do anything else.
Is it because I didn't deactivate my old CS3?

Mapping, keywords, rating, development adjustments etc... The old catalogues are on the new hard drive. How can I get LR to find my ajustments? Or do I have to do it all over again :S ?

View 7 Replies View RelatedOn Windows 7, PS CS6 64bits hangs onto a side of desktop and does not respond as it launches. No error messages. 32 bits works fine. PS5.5 64 bit works fine. Only the regular windows 7 updates (no driver updates or other program updates other than Adobe Acrobat Reader) have been installed since I installed PS CS6 extended.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I select clone stamp, then right click for the menu, there is a delay, about one time out of ten. It's the same when I move the mouse onto a pallete; the pointer disappears for a few seconds. Is there a setting I can change to reduce pointer delays?
Also, I'm running a dual-core processor. Do I need to set photoshop up any different?
The lighting effect filter does not respond in CS6. I am on a pc with window 7 64 bit. I have 10 gig ram memory with a ATI Radeon HD 4350 graphic card.
