When I go to open my Illustrator application, it starts up, but right away when it is starting up it doesn't respond and it freezes while Illustrator is reading fonts.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI installed Creative Suite CS6 a few months ago and it all ran fine. I have been away for 3 weeks or so and on my return, Illustrator will not open. When initializing, it stalls on 'reading fonts...' and stops responding, meaning I have to force quit.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling + updating, clearing my font cache, deleting my Illustrator preferences folder etc.
I have been using Lightroom 3.6 on a Windows 7 64 bit computer for over a year and it has performed flawlessly. Today, in the middle of correcting a large job (500 pictures), it suddenly stopped working. The message is "Lightroom is not responding". Everything is locked up. Eventually, it unlocks, but then, when I try to do anything it locks up again. I have checked my computer for usage issues and other programs are performing normally.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, my laptop crashed, and I had to start again from scratch. I reinstalled Photoshop CS4 from my CD, and it loaded fine. Only now, no matter which tool I choose from the toolbar (blur, zoom, clone, etc,) it will only show the Hand (move tool?) And that doesnt even work.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to run Inventor.exe it shows loading window and then it disappear and there's no response. I've tried to run it from Start->(..)->Inventor and any possible location but nothing worked. I've also tried solution with deleting C:ProgramDataAutodeskADLMCascadeInfo.cas file but this doesn't worked either. Autodesk DWG True View, ReCap and others work correctly. I use student version of Inventor 2014. It has been working previously 6 or 7 times. Same issue was with Inventor 2013 after 3 months no using.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSome time ago, the Gimp stopped responding to my mouse in the image window. In other windows and on menus the mouse works fine (ie I can select brushes and such and use the interface without problems), but in the image window (or more precisely, the canvas area) it's as if the mouse doesn't even exist. All kinds of clicks are ignored, the rulers doesn't show the position of the cursor, and the position in the lower left also isn't updated (it isset once upon entering the window, but after that it's dead).
This originally happened out of the blue one day while using Gimp 2.2.11 . I tried upgrading to 2.2.12 and then 2.3.13, without success. I also deleted the ~/.gimp*directory in the hope that regenerating the config would fix the problem, but no.
No matter what I do, I can't make the Gimp recognize the mouse in the image window. The mouse isn't anything special, and it used to work with the exact same X config I've got now. I haven't changed the xorg.conf file in several months. The Gimp is the only application with this problem.
This is on a dual-core amd64 processor in 64-bit mode (haven't tried 32-bit), Linux kernel 2.6.18, Xorg 7.1.
PSE 10 becomes unstable shortly after start up, per Win 7 system does not respond and win 7 shuts it down. I have removed and reloaded problem occurs more rapidly.
View 6 Replies View RelatedThis is a incosistent problem, in which I cannot determine why it's happening and it doesn't happen all the time. I often restart Lightroom and it is ok after that.
In a small area of the screen the curser doesn't function. I cannot select an image or anything in that area while in the library module and when in the develop module brushes change back to the arrow icon and don't allow me to click in that area.
This is my first time using Lightroom and am currently using version 4.3 that I downloaded from the Mac App store. I am running a new MacBook Pro with OS 10.8.2 Mountain lion.
when you load up photoshop, there is a window that shows what it is loading. and everytime i load up Photoshop, it stops responding when it gets to "Reading Fonts..."
i don't know what to do. I've deleted/reinstalled it and it didn't fix.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just downloaed the Premier Pro CC 30 day trial. I edited some nice video and was strongly considering adding this to my Photoshop/Lightroom subscription. However, warp stabilzer has not worked once for me. Even on clips as short as 6 seconds.
What happens is that when I drag "warp stabilzer" over a clip it analyzes the clip showing a blue banner stating "step 1 analyzing". Then after a short wait an orange banner appears and states "Stabilizing". Thats when the process stops. It stays locked in that orange banner stabilzing position permanently. I waited 3 hours for a 6 second clip and it still said "stabilizing".
Obviously something is drastically wrong. Had it not been for that I would have probably signed up for a subscription to Premium Pro CC.
I'm on a Windows 7 Pro, i7, 12 gigs of ram setup. Seperate scratch disk used also. Everything else on Premium Pro CC seems to work fine. I don't understand why warp stabilizer doesn't.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I open previous artwork files, to maintain or update, one of my fonts disappeared. Coreldraw does recognize the font when I open the artwork file, but within the artwork the text in this paticular font is blank. It's called Trajan Pro. All my other softwares recognize it and I can use it, except in Corel. Not sure how to get this fixed, since I never had this problem before.

On any given layer of the artwork I can add objects, such as circles or rectangles. Initially these show up in the layer named as <Path>, but by double clicking <Path> that name can be changed to anything the user desires.
Is it possible, with any of the SDK utilities, to detect the name that the user has given to that path?
I have a scriptUI generated palette which contains 26 icons linked to their respective scripts. When an icon is pressed, it invokes the required script via this:

My other scripts have "normal" functions that don't cause any problems, so I'm assuming it has something with BridgeTalk being loaded inside the palette function (since the code that's read in from the file is inserted at the location from where it's called).

Windows XP
2 GB of RAM
Roughly 8 GB free HD space
Not sure on video card (how can i check?)
ok, here is my problem:
when i go to File->Open (or Ctrl+O), the Open dialog box opens momentarily (blink an you miss it) and then Photoshop and/or Illustrator freezes. the only way to close it is through Windows Task Manager->End Task.
there is no official error message, Photoshop/Illustrator just simply freezes.
however, and heres the kicker, when i open the files directly from the folder (Explorer) they open fine, i can work seamlessly, no problem. it only occurs when i open from the program itself. i do not know if the other suite programs (Flash, InDesign etc.) have the same problem as i dont use them much.
I ahve a users who is having an issue wher Illustrator CS6 will freeze up on startup. It displays a message that it can not laod a 39 font. However when I login to this workstation with a different userid, Illustrator opens without any issue.
