CorelDRAW X3 :: Drop Down Menu Doesn't Show Computer Fonts
Oct 30, 2007
I was working on a project and went to change to a different font and all that was there are the last 6 or so that I used. When I go to the drop down menu It doesn't show any other fonts. I know there are a lot of fonts in the computer but cannot get them on the program.
When designing a sign for a customer, I take a photo of the existing signs, place on a new document in illustrator cs6, type text then scroll through the text character drop down menu to match the new sign text to the font that is currently on the customers signs, business card etc.
There are many different types of fonts and I would prefer not to have the adobe system fonts, asian, arabic and other fonts that are not used for my purposes.
Is there a way to remove them from this list.
I have tried deleteing them from the window 7 font manager but they are essential system fonts and it displays a message that some programes will not work if I delete them.
I have tried show/hide in the windows 7 font manager but this has no effect on the fonts displayed in illustrator.
I upgraded to CS5 and cannot scroll through the fonts and see the change in my type layer. I know it's supposed to work, but can't seem to find out why it isn't.
Acad 2013 recent install. When using the layer menu, sometimes it will update to show item frozen, but doesn't show the snowflake in the menu. Then you can't thaw it as it thinks it is already sunny. Also intermitent problems moving items from layer to layer. Says it changed them, but when listed are still in the original layer. Just this afternoon it deleted the layer, kept the item being changed with no layer association, then gave me an error message. Luckily I had saved recently. The menu has also relocated itself to covering up the menus at the top of the screen and has lost the pictures of new layer, set to current layer etc. I will probably end up reloading software. I am also having problems with dimensions not using the settings color, size etc that are set, but rather defaulting to the autocad default (yellow) etc, which don't print well for us.
I have Corel X-5 on one of my computers that uses XP- Pro and I have new computer that is using windows 7 which also has Corel X-5 on it.
I have certain fonts loaded on the Corel X-5 that is using XP and I want to move them to the new computer. There are about 200 fonts and I was wondering the best way to move them into Corel X5 that is using Windows 7
Can I just copy them to a flash drive and then install on the new computer.
The reason I am using two computers with one monitor is one of my Roland Printers will work with windows 7 but the rip software will not work with Windows 7 because there are no Windows 7 drivers for it.
Instead of spending a few thousand dollars for new rip software it is easier to just use Windows XP and even thought it is a bit of a pain to keep switching back and forth from computers for now it works just fine.
My commands on my text drop down menu are invisible, some appear when I run cursor over them, some remain invisible. Same when I go to options, all text commands are invisible unless I run cursor over them. I have tried deleting my text menu and repopulating a new menu to no avail, same happens. I have tried a reinstall and a repair, neither worked.
I have numerous Hebrew fonts installed in my computer which can be used in all other programs by changing the language icon at the bottom of my screen. How can the same fonts be used in corel draw?
I bought and downloaded PSE11. However, I don't think I disabled my virusware. It took an especially long time to download and I don't know if it downloaded correctly. My blur tool does not work and my "guided" options are not there. What is the easiest fix- uninstall and remove the serial number then reinstall using same serial number? My question with this is- how many times can I do this, and or is there an easier fix? I have PSE11 and LR4 and I am going back and forth between which one to use. I really need all the options to work from PSE11.
On choosing an export option from the 'Save as type' box the drop down menu flashes and closes - usually 2 or 3 times - before settling down and I can make a choice. Everything afterwards proceeds as normal.
When I open previous artwork files, to maintain or update, one of my fonts disappeared. Coreldraw does recognize the font when I open the artwork file, but within the artwork the text in this paticular font is blank. It's called Trajan Pro. All my other softwares recognize it and I can use it, except in Corel. Not sure how to get this fixed, since I never had this problem before.
When I click on the Font Navigator icon, the window opens, but there are no fonts anywhere.......it's empty !! When I click on View All Fonts, nothing happens . How do I get my installed fonts to show up in my Font Navigator?
We reinstalled Windows 7 64bit to Windows 7 32bit and now all previously created Corel Draw X5 files in Win 7 64bit did not show correct fonts in Win 7 32 bit. All fonts are installed.
All the products installed on my Win 7 Pro 64 Start Menu show the jumplist properly, including Corel X5. This is not working for X6. Yes, I know I can use the Open Recent. menu once I am in CorelDraw.
When selecting a sub menu from within a main drop down menu the arrow points to the right but the actual sub menu pops up on the left in most cases. I have only noticed this recently and wonder if I have inadvertently messed up a setting as in the past I cant recall this being so but I don't use the editor a lot so may be mistaken.
When I save a Corel X5 file the thumbnail doesn't show an image like it did when I saved a corel file in X3. It shows the green pencil symbol .....is this normal?
I've just installed Corel X3. When I open a corel 12 document from my second computer, my new Corel x3 doesn't show most of the objects. Instead - it only shows "ghost" objects. I have made a print screen and it looks like that.
how to get Gimp to only showfonts from the user/fonts file rather than the vast amount of system fonts.
I think you should read the original mail again. Hint: "system fonts not shown" is not the problem, but the desired outcome.I have accidentally read a "not" into the original mail, thus it became "to get Gimp to *not* only show fonts from the user/fonts file"
The configuration to check is the fonconfig settings then, for example the the global, system-wide fonts.conf file. It may contain references to the global font directories, for example /usr/share/fonts/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts. URL....
If you comment those out, then you can (and have to) add all font directories in GIMP's settings, for example.
I use photoshop to create basic layouts and templates for some websites I make and I have a client who wants a 3 layer drop down system. eg. contact > employees > names
I have one built in html and java but I dont like it and doesn't work to great across all browsers so I was wondering if anyone here knew how to make a drop down menu system in photoshop?
Im using cs3 on the mac but could adapt for any version or platform.
I have been using photoshop cs4 since its release and yesterday the drop down menus at the top have started loading to the left instead of to the right. I have gone through recommended fixes from this forum and others and cannot fix the problem.
- I reset the program preferences. - Changed the handedness in the Wacom preference file. - My tablet pc input panel was disabled to remove flicks…so I cannot access it. - My trial copy of PhotoshopCC is not experiencing the problem
Windows XP, adminastrators rights, I have purchased a ACECAD tablet and confirmed that it is working as it should. Now, this tablet has pressure sensitivity.
When I try to add a value in the drop down menu to the pressure tab in the configure input devices window I get the following message when I try to save....
