Photoshop :: Reinstalled CS3 Won't Work / Computer Hard Drive Crashed

I own Photoshop CS3. My computer hard drive crashed so I am reinstalling everything.
I originally downloaded CS3 from Adobe and I have the product Key. I have a backup of the original Adobe files that I downloaded in 2010, on a CD. I put a copy of the files on my new C: drive and then installed the software. It installed fine, but when I open up CS3 it freezes, it shows the CS3 menus but I can't do anything else.
Is it because I didn't deactivate my old CS3?

I recently bought a new computer & re-installed photoshop CS5.1 successfully, but can't get the plug ins to work (phototools 2.5 & perfect effects 3, which were a free download with purchase). I am running windows 7 64bit. I copied & pasted them into the plug ins folder (in both applications of photoshop - there is the 32 bit version on 'program files (x86)' & the 64 bit version in 'program files'), but neither will work.

I did upgrade from Photoshop cs4 to cs5 few years ago by buying an upgrade CD..now my hard drive crashed and i lost my Photoshop cs5..
serial number is available but i don't have the cs5 upgrade cd. how can i get the Photoshop cs5 on my laptop?

I have my LR library and catalog on an external hard drive. I have a new iMac with a 3TB hard drive and I want to move the library and catalog from the external drive to the computer's hard drive. Is this something that can be done with a drag and drop?

My hard drive crashed so I lost a lot of my CDR work. I was able to get some back in the form of JPG. These were files that I drew in Corel and Exported as JPG. Is there anyway I can get them back into Vector without re drawing? I figured there had to be a way since they were originally drawn in Corel.

Computer 1's hard drive crash and all programs and data were recovered professionally and sent to me on an External Hard Drive. Computer 1 was on Windows 7. I can fun the program off of the External Hard drive fine, when connected to my my new Computer. I click on the .exe file and it pulls up the catalogue as it should. All off of the recovery drive.
The new Computer, is on Windows 8.1. How do I get the Adobe Catalogues moved/copied to the new Computer?
I redownload Adobe 10 onto my new 8.1 Computer from the Adobe website. Using the new download, I was able to open the Catalogue on the External Drive (F). Cannot find a way to "relocate" the Catalogue to the new computer. The pictures have already been copied to the new computer.

I am not changing anything in my system. I am using windows 7 and will continue to. No change in elements version (10). how to move my pictures from my computer hard drive to an external hard drive (this will NOT be a back up) but the primary locaton for my pictures. I will keep elements program on my computer and when I want to work on my pictures or download more pictures from my camera I will connect to the external hard drive.

I have CS5 installed on a desktop computer that crashed and I can't get it working to deactivate CS5. I am going to purchase a new desktop and would like to install CS5 on the new computer, but it was already installed on two computers (desktop and laptop) so no activations are left. I've just purchased a NAS hard drive system to basically transfer and store my 'finished' work from Lightroom and Photoshop. In reading the manual for Lightroom, am I correct in thinking that the NAS server cannot be a 'catalog' ?? I basically just want to correctly transfer across my finished files for storage there rather than on my main computer hard drive - and hence free up space on main computer. I'm just not sure of the process in how to go about this correctly? I still want to be able to access these finished files in case I need to revist something - but happy for them to be off the main computer?

I will be managing a small portion of a client's overall image workflow by updating their web prescence on a regular basis with new work and retagging/uploading old work. I believe this requires the catalog and the image library to be housed on an external hard drive that can travel between the two of us. We are both working on PC's with LR 5.3.
The workflow would look something like this:
Client downloads new images onto external hard drive and imports into LR "ClientCatalog" is created Flags Picks and Creates a Collection from those Picks.Hard drive is handed off to me where I open "ClientCatalog".Make suggested edits to images add detailed tags and metadata upload to various social media sites and websites return hard drive to client
Is there potential problem with this workflow? My assumption is that if everything is housed on the external hard drive then there are no worries about the catalog containing all the latest updates. Are there any "safety protocols" you would add in to this workflow (besides mirroring everythign on another hard drive)?

My computer crashed last week and I had Photoshop Elements 9 installed on it. It has been quite a few years since I bought the program and I have since lost the disc during the multiple moves I've went through. Is there any way I could redownload it somehow without paying for it again? My computer is basically trash now so there's no real way for me to get the program off or deactivate it.

I have several hard drives. Say D, E and F. I want to migrate or move the folders that are listed under each hard drive in my lightroom to say Hard Drive G. How do I do this so that all my keywords, and selects and color codes move with it? and that in lightroom G hard drive would be my only hard drive listed? I moved images from my harddrive to an external drive.
I opened Lightroom.
Noticed there was a question mark by the photo folder I needed.
I synchronized the folders. Nada.
I rememebered I moved the images (first line ^^)
I re-imported the images from the external drive into Lightroom.
These images (other than one that was marked previously with a blue label) look completely untouched - completely original files - even though I spent hours working on them.
I am glad the images weren't deleted BUT re-doing 600 images will be a MAJOR FAIL if I can't figure out how to import the images with the settings / developments I did beforehand.

I transferred my LR3 files from my WD hard drive to my new Lacie Thunderbolt drive and now I can only get the preview and it says the file is missing. Is there a setting I need to change that I am not aware of?

I have LR3 on a Mac running OS 10.6.8. My catalog, cache and images were stored on an external Lacie 1TB drive (partitioned so it can be used by a pc and mac). My catalog backup files were saved on another external drive MXTR as well as copies of all my images. The Lacie had started self ejecting while running LR3 and I thought it was maybe a problem with the cable, as it would work fine after rebooting. Yesterday it crashed LR3 and never remounted. I used Disk Utility to try and repair the disk and it instructed me to erase the disk and start over. I was not worried, since my catalog was backed up to another drive. . Another 2 hours to copy my images from the MXTR to the Lacie (again the drive never self ejected during this time either). So now I go to find my most recent backup catalog. The most recent one I could find was dated 2/09/2012. I am baffled. What happened all those times I was backing up? I upgraded to LR3 in 2011, and I don't remember ever telling it to backup to another folder or drive.

Recently my computer crashed and I had to reinstall Windows XP. While reinstalling Windows my hard drive was reformatted. I have lost my Photoshop CS3. I still have my serial number for CS2 but I don't have my serial number for CS3. How can I get back my CS3? I don't see anywhere I can download CS2 or CS3 now that CS4 is available.

I'm putting together a new system partly to run Photoshop, Bridge, and Camera Raw, and I have a question about the optimal hard drive configuration. Software is CS3 running on Windows XP Pro SP2.
With three physical drives, I would probably do it like this:
1. 10k RPM - OS, programs
2. 10k RPM - ?
3. 7.2k RPM - Assets
Where is the best place for the Windows page file and the Photoshop scratch disk?
Or would I be better off going with four (less expensive) 7.2k RPM drives, in which case the OS/programs, page file, scratch disk, and assets could all have their own drives?
