May 29, 2013Everything else seems to be working fine... except the Import. When I click on Import, nothing happens. LR does not respond and I have to restart. Using LR 4.4, Windows 7 Professional.

Today, in the middle of correcting a large job (500 pictures), it suddenly stopped working. The message is "Lightroom is not responding". Everything is locked up. Eventually, it unlocks, but then, when I try to do anything it locks up again. I have checked my computer for usage issues and other programs are performing normally.

Jan 12, 2013This is a incosistent problem, in which I cannot determine why it's happening and it doesn't happen all the time. I often restart Lightroom and it is ok after that.
In a small area of the screen the curser doesn't function. I cannot select an image or anything in that area while in the library module and when in the develop module brushes change back to the arrow icon and don't allow me to click in that area.
This is my first time using Lightroom and am currently using version 4.3 that I downloaded from the Mac App store. I am running a new MacBook Pro with OS 10.8.2 Mountain lion.

The issue that occurs is after importing images they are adjusted automatically to develop module cross process 1. After dealing with this annoyance for a bit of time I realized that I can not even "RESET ALL" the images to delete the adjustment. In delving into other images that have been in my database for quite some time, I have tried to "RESET ALL", which resets images to CROSS PROCESS 1. I have never set import to automatically adjust.
Lightroom :: Import Images - Import Module Freezes For A Few Minutes?
Mar 13, 2012I just upgraded from LR3.6 to 4.0. When trying to import images the import module freezes for a few minutes and then displays the import screen. However, when selecting a source the program freezes again and eventually crashes.
I had the same issue when upgrading to 3.6 some time ago and then found that disabling some USB controllers solved the problem. This works for LR4 as well. As I don't need all USB connections this is a workable solution, however, disabling controllers should not be necessary to run a program.
System is an Acer Aspire 7811 64 bits w/ Intel i7, Win 7 Home Premium, 8 GB internal mem and no external drives.
Lightroom :: Why Doesn't Auto Import Actually Import Images Into Catalog
May 19, 2012I'm using LR4 with a Canon camera setup (Wind 7 Ultimate). I've got the auto import setting all configured with an incoming folder and destination. The app recognizes when an image is put in incoming folder and in fact it moves it to the destination folder. What is really annoying is that it leaves me at the import settings dialog and then I have to make all these choices as I would if I were manually importing.
Shouldn't the images be places in the desination folder and some view of that image be displayed in LR? It could be the folder view or ideally I want to see the last image imported at 1:1 size so I can review it and see if I want to take another shot? Maybe there is some flag I've got set incorrectly.
3ds Max :: Extrude Will Not Respond
May 9, 2011Using Windows 7 64 bit, radeon card, 8 GB ram, 500Gb hd.
This only started today, and I can't continue with my school work until it's fixed.
When selecting polygons Extrude Settings using either the ribbon or the button, I am unable to enter a number, select any of the spinners (cannot change group to single polygon, cannot increase/decrease amount) and I cannot select Okay (checkmark) Okay and go on, or cancel. At one point the mouse would give a double-headed arrow and allow me to slide the amount up and down, but I still cannot accept it with okay, or cancel it.
It is doing this in all of my saved files, not just one in one project.
Lightroom :: Previous Import Count - Auto Import
Dec 21, 2011I use Auto Import to import my RAW files. Each time LR imports my files the Previous Import count number increases. Is there a way to reset this count so it shows a true reflection of the photos from my previous import session?
Correct me if I'm wrong but if you manually import files the Previous Import count number resets itself automatically. I've Googled this problem & this question has been asked before - all users were utilising Auto Import.

Sep 28, 2012 time it is 3D objects not responding to keyframe animation changes. I have tried creating a new 3D object. I have tried dragging and dropping the new object in to the target doc. I can't copy it withou t rasterizing. Do I have to develop the object from scratch from within the doc? I hope not. the target doc is already very large, this 3D object being the final element. This is what happenes after dragging the 3d object from one spot the another on the canvas. There is only one object. the other is a ghost and disappears after I move in the time line. the actual 3d object remains in the position of the first keyframe no matter how many times I try to move it. Each time I get the "ghost" obejct before moving in the timeline.
Here is a screen shot of the timeline where the keyframes are registering but the object does not move to the new location. Just the "ghost" object appears and then is gone when I move in the timelineHere is the same object on it's own it the original doc . I had no trouble getting it to respond to keframe changes on it's own.acreen shot of the target doc's layer panel. I guess I need to know if there is a way to import a 3D object into a n existing doc without haing to develop in that doc.

Jul 10, 2012My PSP X3 locked up and I had to use the Task Manager to close it due to "not responding." This has repeated each time I have tried to load the program, including trying the suggestion of pressing "Shift" and trying to launch the program on a reset. There's no error message, it doesn't get that far. The welcome screen loads, shows the program is updating the cache, etc. but then it goes to no response, no error message, just 100% locked up. Have to use the Task Manage every single time to get it to close.
Right before this happened yesterday, I also experienced difficulty copy and pasting one image or selection into another. No paste commands would appear. I tried doing the "clear" selection as posted online, but no real answer on that either.
short of uninstalling and going through all that crap again. I'd buy the latest version, but since I've had no end of problems with this version I am hesitant to move forward if there are more bugs.

Dec 20, 2006Some time ago, the Gimp stopped responding to my mouse in the image window. In other windows and on menus the mouse works fine (ie I can select brushes and such and use the interface without problems), but in the image window (or more precisely, the canvas area) it's as if the mouse doesn't even exist. All kinds of clicks are ignored, the rulers doesn't show the position of the cursor, and the position in the lower left also isn't updated (it isset once upon entering the window, but after that it's dead).
This originally happened out of the blue one day while using Gimp 2.2.11 . I tried upgrading to 2.2.12 and then 2.3.13, without success. I also deleted the ~/.gimp*directory in the hope that regenerating the config would fix the problem, but no.
No matter what I do, I can't make the Gimp recognize the mouse in the image window. The mouse isn't anything special, and it used to work with the exact same X config I've got now. I haven't changed the xorg.conf file in several months. The Gimp is the only application with this problem.
This is on a dual-core amd64 processor in 64-bit mode (haven't tried 32-bit), Linux kernel 2.6.18, Xorg 7.1.
