This dialog pops up when I try to insert blocks from a Tool Palette.
I don't have experience with graphics so this is hard thing for me. I want to know how to undo the operation of blurring some objects (faces .etc) or whole picture made by brushing those objects that should be covered. I mean, i want to hide someones' face or other shapes, and i use for example "Ellipse" tool and create ellipse filled with black color. I use this ellipse to cover prefered shape on picture. After that i save the picture, then close it. When open again i can't undo this operation with "undo" button. And that's my question - which tool can undo such cover/blurring operations on images that are made long ago or aren't work of mine?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am having both objects disappear after a Boolean Union (I am going to try creating just two random objects - a cube and a sphere - and seeing if the operation works with them).
One thing that I have thought is that the resolution of the mesh might be srewing up the operation (The sizes of the polygons in the two objects is pretty different).
So that might be a factor (when I am in Mudbox, I could try not subdividing the smaller objects as much as the larger one, so that the polygons are the same size).
when aplying mesh->boolean->difference both objects disappear?

I want to draw operation drawings, I think, ı must do this like that; I must draw one ipt, and later I must draw drawings from this ipt, and idw's
1.drawing (operation); rectangular prism,
2.drawing (operation); rectangular prism and rectangular cutting,
3.drawing (operation); rectangular prism, rectangular cutting and hole,
4.drawing (operation); rectangular prism, rectangular cutting, hole and hexagon cutting,
when I change dimensions of rectangular prism, all four operation drawings must change, so I can't change location of end of part in idw's browser, but I can change location of end of part in ipt's browser, I want to change location of end of part in idw's browser, can I do this? or alternative solution...
I don't want to make, four ipt for each operations... I added a picture...

I would like to reversing a Boolean operation if an error happens.
I have two solids that when I try to perform a Subtract Boolean Operation gives me an error. When the error happens I lose both solids. I would like to be able to reverse the subtraction in an event of an error so that I still have both solids.

I have experienced this problem before, but have found no solution. Sometimes I am unable to move the faces of 3DSolids and get the error messages like "Modeling Operation Error: Gap cannot be filled" or "Modeling Operation Error: No solution for a vertex". Haven't found a pattern of error yet, but today I copy clipped some 3D solids from another drawing into my current drawing and found that the move face wouldn't work after that. If I draw a simple 3D solid within the current drawing, the move face won't work; but, if I copy clip that same object into a new, blank drawing, the move face works.

If I select any amount of points to buffer I get the following error:Unable to complete buffer operation
Using Civil 3D 2011 (come with Map 3D of course) 64 bit on a window 64 bit machine. Tried attaching sqlite db with no luck, then exported to SDF attached to dwg as datasource, themed, etc... tried feature buffer analysis again... same error.
For conducting Boolean operation, I use Trim but I feel troublesome since many selections have to be carried out. So I wonder are there some new way to simplify the process?

I have drawn a 3D polyline, and putting two circles with different diameters on both end, trying to loft it and create a horn-shaped like object.
For some reason, AutoCAD keeps complaining the path I selected is not valid, and so I can't do the loft operation. However, I have 'tested' the path with sweep function, and it works.
For no reason that I can fathom, everytime I try to plot a drawing, whether to PDF file or to printer, the command self terminates after I hit enter. This only just started happening during the last couple of days. Now it happens every time I try to plot a drawing.

The solution is to find the corrupted part and restore it.
My problem is that the assembly (and 5 subassemblies) consists of over 150 parts, which is way to many to just start recreating parts at random...
Is there a way to pin-point which parts ruins my model ?

What I would like to do is an arithmetic operation of addition, something similar to how 'CAL works. In this particular case I would like to add the value of 100,000 before the conversion factor, or 100 after the conversion factor.
I am not able to open the tutorial files in the getting started tab. I get a script error "could not complete the operation due to error 800a01ad" for both the tutorials and the help files. I have Windows 7 64 bit SP1, IE 9. I am not getting script errors with any other web sites.

We have two floor plans in separate DWG files. We just want to either combine them or copy our key to the other.
In regards to sweeping, what does the title of the post mean (self intersecting paths or loops are invalid for this operation). I have a 3D sketch consisting of 1 straight line, one spline with 4 points dictated by 'points' and an arc. All have tangential constrains to each other and I am looking to sweep a circle along this path to create a bent wire. I don't have anypictures or files as it is a stand alone computer at the moment.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using Cable and Harness (Autodesk Inventor 2012 64 bit on Win7 64bit) and when trying to create the segment I only get the error message "The sweep operation failed for the harness segment Segment1 Adjust the segment geometry and try again". It does not matter what data for diameter and bend radius I am using under "Harness properties", it never works. When checking the "Bend radius" for violation it says nothing. I am attaching the files.

I need it to be hollow but I am unable to do this using the shell operation or by creating a surface and thickening the faces. I created the geometry by lofting a series of sketches. I think the nature of the geometry may be causing the problem.

"The attempted shell operation had non-manifold inputs. Try with manifold inputs."
It works sporadically. The error is "There were no plotable sheets in the current operation." I did a window. Also tried saving the dwg to a previous version. I note in options, that a multi sheet file is chosen, but I only have one sheet. Can not seem to change multi sheet to one sheet. If I open the file in Inventor, I get the same error.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have inventor 2012 and I´m having trouble doing a cut boolean operation to two solids. One is a revolved elipse, so it´s a kind of egg, and the other one is an extruded rectangle.
I want to cut the egg in the rectangular solid, so I can obtain a rectangular solid with an empty egg space inside. I tried to use the "derived" command, so I derived the egg from the rectangular solid, and used the combine command, but with no success. Right now I have two separated solids on the same file (the egg and the extruded rectangle).
I am having an issue with saving our own dwg file in inventor 2014 & 2014.
When I open a new one of our dwg template files and try to say I get an error that says
"the current operation requires data from document 'xxx' but it cannot be found"
This doesnt happen when trying to save an inventor dwg template file and it has only happened since releases 2013 & 2014. If I open one of our files that was created before release 2013 I can save these with no problem.
I was hoping the issue would resolve itself when upgrading to 2014, but It hasnt, so it must be in a setting that I migrated across.
We have other users using 2013 and are not experiencing the same problem. In fact if they save one of our template files on their machine I am then able to open and save it on my machine!

I have tried to copy a object from 1 drawing to another but it doesnt work it seems to copy but the paste function does not work in the other drawing.
So i tried to wblock the object and i get a error message "write block operation rejected due to a proxy object that does not allow copying"
What is a Proxy object and how can I fix the problem?
