We have two floor plans in separate DWG files. We just want to either combine them or copy our key to the other.
I have tried to copy a object from 1 drawing to another but it doesnt work it seems to copy but the paste function does not work in the other drawing.
So i tried to wblock the object and i get a error message "write block operation rejected due to a proxy object that does not allow copying"
What is a Proxy object and how can I fix the problem?
I created a vb.net stand alone program. Used the following to create the CAD object:
CreateObject("Autocad.Application")
for doing some batch job.
Then I deploy it to a group of computers. It is working fine for some computers and others failed with either "actvieX can't create object" or "call rejected by callee". All computers has AutoCAD full version(Mechanical or Electrical) installed.
Is it possible to create proxy object using .net in AutoCAD?

I'm trying to create a model of a Golf club head. I need it to be hollow but I am unable to do this using the shell operation or by creating a surface and thickening the faces. I created the geometry by lofting a series of sketches. I think the nature of the geometry may be causing the problem.

Project target file is on a 500GB WD Blue.
I have ripped a Blue Ray DVD as an .m2t, at an average bit rate of about 18.5 Mb/sec, with a resulting file size of over 16GB. Needles to say this file bogs the machine when not running the proxy. When I finish a session and close the program, the proxy file is gone the next time I open the project. The same thing happens when the machine goes to sleep with the project open. I have to either slog through working directly on the project without the proxy while it slowly rebuilds, or wait a couple of hours for the rebuild to complete.
Any way to stop the file from being deleted? I went to power options and selected never, but the next day it was gone again.
Another thing would be to increase the speed of the proxy creation, as it only uses about 20% of the CPU. Better to get it done faster... I have tried raising the priority of the process to high with little if any change.
I'm copying 1 object, multiple times. Yes I know how to multiple copy.
The problem is this.
The object I'm copying will have varying distances between each copy e.g. , 50, 100, 90, 150, 140, 100, 190 so on and so forth.
Is there a way in LT to copy relative to the last object placed?
want to upated attributes in proxy entity is this possible?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have come across a rather disturbing bug in Illustrator when copying an object with a color fill from one document to another.
Both documents have the same color space. Lets look at this example to see the condition. Make two documents with the same color space.
Make an object and assign a color to it. Lets say Pantone 201C and set it to a CMYK build - not a true spot color. Now make another document with the exact same Pantone 201C color - but specify it as a true spot color. Now copy and paste from one document to the next. As you shall see, you will get a dialog box warning you to add or discard the color to the recieving document as expected. This is a good behavior that tells the user that you have the same color builds but assigned different values.
Now what happens if we assign one document a book color value of PMS 201C and the other document a "spot" color build of PMS 201C. So we now have two PMS colors in two documents with different values assigned to them. Drag and drop or copy and paste an object from one document to the next. You shall now see that the recieving document now has two objects with the same PMS name, but two different color builds (and visual color differences).
What should happen in this situation is the user be prompted with a dialog box to either merge the two similar PMS spot color builds or add - like what you see when copying an object with the same color buld name, but has a different value assigned between the two.
Some of our designers are just going ape over this condition and I hope this bug could be addressed in a .01 release.

C3D 2011 / Update 2
I have noticed about a 50/50 chance of crashing when using Copyclip or Wblock, and the selection includes C3D objects (feature lines, etc.). Sometimes when I Wblock out, no file is written, then if I try to repeat it, there is about a 99% chance that is will crash on the repeat try.
I am in the process of creating a few really useful dynamic blocks. My problem is I wish to collect them in a library folder so each block is a stand alone dwg file. I know I used to to this in 2011LT, but that was some time ago and I have since changed company and we have 2012LT. I cannot for the life of me remember how to do this.
I have tried to do it the usual w-block way, but when I import them into a new drawing they are actually a block within a block. Is there a better way of doing this?
Having an issue with linetypes that are proprogating within all our drawings in our office... I have tried to purge, delete all and wblock and nothing seems to work. The only thing that I found to work is superpurge...
Junk is the drawing that I erased everything. (junk drawing is 2.6M with nothing in it...) click on this link to download... [URL]........
I wblocked out wblock drawing and the size fell but the file still has all the linetype...
If I draw something in wblock and copy clip it to another drawing then I get all the extra linetype from wblock dwg...
What is the difference between a regular block and a wblock?
Or is wblock just a command?
I have used the wblock command to block out drawings for use by other companies and was backsaving by using the wblock browsing ellipsis.
I keep getting requests to backsave the blocks again, so this process doesn't seem to work.
is there a command to redefine/update multiple wblock?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am using ACAD 2000. My wblock and copyclip commands are not working only in one specific drawing. I am working in modelspace.
When I wblock it lets me select the objects and assign a file to save the objects to. When I hit OK it gives me no error but no file is created.
When I copyclip it gives me no error, but when I pasteclip, nothing happens.
I tried saving the drawing as something else. This drawing simply won't let me copyclip or wblock. I can use the copy command to make multiple copies of the object in question within the drawing. I tried restarting my PC and this particular drawing still has the same problem. Other drawings are fine.
What method of block base point selection do you mostly use:
Screen selction point
WCS 0,0,0 point
Presently if I insert a block into my drawing - and a block with the same name exists - the newly inserted block takes on the definition which exists in the receiving drawing . How do I reverse this i.e. I want to be able to overwrite the existing block definition by inserting the new wblock version.

When I issue the Wblock Command I can not find the Dialog box to select objects and file location... This happens in the Layer Dialog when I try to change the color of a layer, the Color Dialog box can not be found. When I use the Block command the dialog box pops up, so I can see it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've just been told by a customer that "Delete Rejected Photos" in a Smart Collection no longer works in LR5. Previously it was possible to delete photos from the catalog, even when viewed in a Smart Collection, by marking them as "rejected" and then using the "Delete Rejected Photos" command. Is this a deliberate change?
It seems as though this has also changed from a static collection. "Delete Rejected Photos" asks if I want to "remove the <n> rejected photos from Lightroom" but in fact only removes them from the collection.
I am playing for the first time with rejected flag. Before I used the red flag and then deleted manually bad picture. I notived the following:
- Put some picture in a Collection. Let's say you did a reportage and you shooed 250 pictures (my case yesterday).
- Inside the collection set rejected flag (X key) the bad pictures (unsharp, etc..).
- Click on one rejected picture (you see the reject flag enable) and then to in Library
- The rejected flag is gone!
I would rather keep every flag the same anywhere (collections, library...).
By the way, I wish as well to be able to deleted the rejected photo directly from the Collections in the menu "Photos -> Delete Rejected Photo...". "Delete Rejected Photo" can only "Remove". At least the menu name is missunderstanding.
I want to set the filter to display only unrated and rated images so that rejected images disappear from the view as soon as I type "X" and move on to the next image. Then I want go through my rejects to make sure they are all duds before deleting them permanently, and i don't want to see them again until I do that. I can display one star or greater, but I can't figure out how to display unrated or greater Surely this is user error and not poorly designed filtering.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThis problem started yesterday after I moved some of my library to an external hard drive. I created a new catalog and moved the photos within lightroom. I don't know if the move of photos caused the error or not. Now whenever I try to delete rejected photos, I get the following error message:
Database "/Users/mollynordin/Pictures/Lightroom/Lightroom 4 Catalog.lrcat": PreviewDataObservers_DevSettingsDeletions.devSettingsDigest may not be NULL Statement:
DELETE FROM Adobe_imageDevelopSettings WHERE id_local = ?;
I love deleting my photos from both the catalog and my disk but the default "lit up" button on LR3 is only to delete from the catalog. Why to do that and then have an uncataloged picture sitting on their drive.
Is there any way to shift the "default" highlighted button to the delete from disk button so I can just press return when I go to delete my rejected pix?
