Lightroom :: Hide Rejected Images While Showing All Others?

I want to set the filter to display only unrated and rated images so that rejected images disappear from the view as soon as I type "X" and move on to the next image. Then I want go through my rejects to make sure they are all duds before deleting them permanently, and i don't want to see them again until I do that. I can display one star or greater, but I can't figure out how to display unrated or greater Surely this is user error and not poorly designed filtering.

I've just been told by a customer that "Delete Rejected Photos" in a Smart Collection no longer works in LR5. Previously it was possible to delete photos from the catalog, even when viewed in a Smart Collection, by marking them as "rejected" and then using the "Delete Rejected Photos" command. Is this a deliberate change?
It seems as though this has also changed from a static collection. "Delete Rejected Photos" asks if I want to "remove the <n> rejected photos from Lightroom" but in fact only removes them from the collection.

I am playing for the first time with rejected flag. Before I used the red flag and then deleted manually bad picture. I notived the following:
- Put some picture in a Collection. Let's say you did a reportage and you shooed 250 pictures (my case yesterday).
- Inside the collection set rejected flag (X key) the bad pictures (unsharp, etc..).
- Click on one rejected picture (you see the reject flag enable) and then to in Library
- The rejected flag is gone!
I would rather keep every flag the same anywhere (collections, library...).
By the way, I wish as well to be able to deleted the rejected photo directly from the Collections in the menu "Photos -> Delete Rejected Photo...". "Delete Rejected Photo" can only "Remove". At least the menu name is missunderstanding.

This problem started yesterday after I moved some of my library to an external hard drive. I created a new catalog and moved the photos within lightroom. I don't know if the move of photos caused the error or not. Now whenever I try to delete rejected photos, I get the following error message:

I love deleting my photos from both the catalog and my disk but the default "lit up" button on LR3 is only to delete from the catalog. Why to do that and then have an uncataloged picture sitting on their drive.
Is there any way to shift the "default" highlighted button to the delete from disk button so I can just press return when I go to delete my rejected pix?

Coming from LR3 I'm used to classify pictures via the x-key or the reject flag. This seems no longer to work, although in the list of keys this seems to be still supported. Do I need a software fix?

Problem tested on 2 machines, Windows 7 and 8.
When going from develop to the web module very often images and / or thumbnails doesnt show up, the program shows only empty spaces.

I have upgraded my Lightroom from 5.0 to the new update, so I am using Lightroom 5.2 . Yesterday I went into my old Lightroom 4 on my computer, retrieved a photo, exported it and shut down. Late last night I went to open Lightroom 5.2 and when I did all the photos are a screen of light grey with a light grey border. It seems all the date is there, but no photos show in either Lightroom 5.2 or Lightroom 4.

I have imported images from my Canon 5D markIII and somewhere along the way, I've made an error in the settings. The images are on my computer but not showing up in a folder in the LR4 catalog...how do I get them into the catalog? When I try to find them, they are all greyed out and I can't move them - a message says that it seems that duplicates are already on the computer (or something like that).

Fired up my computer today after sitting idle for a few days. All 50,000 images are showing "offline or missing"
Everything was fine two days ago.... What happened and how do I get them all back? Images have not been moved at all.

Our problem with Lightroom is this: After inporting images, they do not show in the library mode. The tree view shows first image of the folder, but the library preview does not open.- Probllem is persistant and any new images after 3 weeks are not showing up.- problem is resistant, we upgraded from 5.0 to 5.3, but problem is consistant.
System specs: Generic computer, 8gb memory, windows 7 ultimate 64bits.c: (SSD) houses lightroom, windows & catalogue files.d: houses inport with Picasa files.p: Container of accepted and to be edited image f
General process of images: Import with picasa of images, verification of image quality and rejecting failures.After all images are done, use of syncredibles program to copy new files not yet on the picasa library folder. This basicly checks and moves pictures that are currently on drive D: but are not yet on drive P. After new files are transferred, then picasa will re-import with add function on import from its own folders.
Directory structure: c:program files adobelightroom 5.3 (main proigram)c:uusi kansiolightroom caltalogued:kuvat (picasa image store)
p:kuvat (lightroom image store)
The divasion of d: and P: driwe is so that picasa will not see images that arte on Lightroom and vice versa.are on D: & P started to get "read obn
We have tried to study this problem, and first we notised that folders that houses images on both driwes, started to receve "read only" atrribute. Even tho we cleared this with user restrictions (folder security) the imported images still refuse to load the previews.Catalogue contains over 30 000 raw images.
We are starting to shoot blanks here. In short, the tree view shows first image of the folder, images are present in the system, but when you click the tree view to open up the folder, no images will refresh to center view of the screen. If pressed couple of times screen will go white, and crash LR.We have tried to "find missing files" and "folder synchronication.

I have created 2 web galleries--one html and one Flash. I saved them to my local drive and they work perfectly. Then I uploaded to our server (I checked to see that all folders/files made it, and they did) and then when I access the index.html file, neither the thumbnails or the full-size images show. As an old scholar (been using PShop since Beta 1.0) I have never been a fan of tabs -esp as I often drag/compare elements from multiple files. In CS6 I see some inconsistent behavior with palettes. The active file can now obscure the toolbar and the palettes docked at far right. Strangely, other palettes (not docked) remain visible above the image.
The same occurs with other open files, so that I can have the tool bar blocked by files I'm not even working on. I have set my workspace to mimic CS5 as I'm not fond of the newer interface. This odd overlap impacts my workflow, as it takes time to maneuver the various image frames so as not to obscure palettes. Is this SOP, a bug, or is there a prefs setting that I broke? (see attached image).

I'm creating a cover sheet for a drawing set, and I would like I add some PDF images to it. I had no problems x-refing them into the sheet, but because all images have to be assigned a layer, all of the PDFs are bordered by a line of that layer's weight and color.
I tried to assign the layer "do not plot", but the images don't plot either when I do. Is there a way to x-ref a PDF image into my sheet and prevent the border line from printing? I'm using AutoCAD 2010.

I created a vb.net stand alone program. Used the following to create the CAD object:
CreateObject("Autocad.Application")
for doing some batch job.
Then I deploy it to a group of computers. It is working fine for some computers and others failed with either "actvieX can't create object" or "call rejected by callee". All computers has AutoCAD full version(Mechanical or Electrical) installed.

I have tried to copy a object from 1 drawing to another but it doesnt work it seems to copy but the paste function does not work in the other drawing.
So i tried to wblock the object and i get a error message "write block operation rejected due to a proxy object that does not allow copying"
What is a Proxy object and how can I fix the problem?

I don't seem to have those options (show/hide Parent) when right clicking on folders in the tree. The way I have been organizing in LR4 is by creating a new top level folder and dragging the individual folders into that new folder (within LR).
I will be moving to a new computer soon and want to make sure the move goes well...

The Hide Rejcets filter has been functioning perfectly until recently. Now when selected, it shows Flagged and Unflagged photos (including rejects). How can I make this filter only show pics that have not been flagged as rejected?

I use Adobe Master Collection CS6, but when i open Photoshop, i don't find the option to have 2 or more images on the same screen on the same time ?
I never had problems before, and still use Photoshop Extended CS4 with the option into the menu bar !

I have several drawings with different image types in them. Whenever I try to print DWG to PDF or even Adobe PDF, I get a "Attempting to cancel" message and everything shows up in the PDF except the images.
I can print to a printer just fine.

so, say you take 2 pictures, exactly the same(use a tripod, lighting the same) but in the second picture you add a subject. how would you take those 2 pics into Photoshop and have it only show or select the difference between the 2 pics.
example, you take a nice shot of the mountains. the next shot you put a person in the shot. then take it into Photoshop and only show the difference(the person) with none of the background.
i know i could just trace it, but that would be too time consuming.

I have inserted an image to a layout for our drawings. On my computer the image shows just fine in the layout. On my co-worker's computer, she doesn't see the image when she opens the same layout. It shows the reference location- example-Z:Faciltieslahlah.jpeg I have AutoCAD 2013 and they have AutoCAD 2014
I want to add this template layout to all our drawings company wide, but if she can't see the image there is a major problem!

We're running Illustrator CS4 across a suite of 12 Macs on OS X 10.6.8. Over the last couple of weeks, several accounts have been hit with the same problem, that linking an image in an Illustrator document will not show the images, but just a bounding box. The link information is correct, but I've found no way of getting the image to show, aside from embedding it. Furthermore, saving a document in this state will cause Illustrator to crash when trying to reopen the document.
We use network accounts for the Macs, so all installs are local on each machine, but users access their profile directly from our server. Therefore, all links reference a location on our network and not the local drive. However, there does not seem to be anything wrong with the installs as the issue is with accounts and not the individual client. Once the issue occurs for a user, it occurs on any Mac they log into, while unaffected users can use any Mac without issue.
Our network has run in this state for a year now and the problem has only surfaced recently. I've tried clearing user's preference files relating to Illustrator, but this has had no effect. It's also random when creating a new user on the network, as some will have the issue and others not, despite all being created with the same set of default preferences.
