Coming from LR3 I'm used to classify pictures via the x-key or the reject flag. This seems no longer to work, although in the list of keys this seems to be still supported. Do I need a software fix?
View 4 RepliesI am playing for the first time with rejected flag. Before I used the red flag and then deleted manually bad picture. I notived the following:
- Put some picture in a Collection. Let's say you did a reportage and you shooed 250 pictures (my case yesterday).
- Inside the collection set rejected flag (X key) the bad pictures (unsharp, etc..).
- Click on one rejected picture (you see the reject flag enable) and then to in Library
- The rejected flag is gone!
I would rather keep every flag the same anywhere (collections, library...).
By the way, I wish as well to be able to deleted the rejected photo directly from the Collections in the menu "Photos -> Delete Rejected Photo...". "Delete Rejected Photo" can only "Remove". At least the menu name is missunderstanding.
I'm trying to distort a picture to make it fit a cover of a magazine. I read a few tutorials on Envelope Distort and followed directions. It seemed pretty straightforward.
I created a single, closed path that I placed it on a top layer. I placed the picture I want to distort and embedded iton a second layer behind the shape. Selected them together, continued with Object>Envelope Distort>Make with Top Object. But, the picture gets twisted and messed up.
This is what it looks like and I can't think of anything that is interfering with the process. This image will be part of a collage of images that will go on the front cover of my Google+ and Facebook profile.
Need to do a round upper left corner to join the horizontal flag with the vertical flag.

I've just been told by a customer that "Delete Rejected Photos" in a Smart Collection no longer works in LR5. Previously it was possible to delete photos from the catalog, even when viewed in a Smart Collection, by marking them as "rejected" and then using the "Delete Rejected Photos" command. Is this a deliberate change?
It seems as though this has also changed from a static collection. "Delete Rejected Photos" asks if I want to "remove the <n> rejected photos from Lightroom" but in fact only removes them from the collection.
when I click under the web gallery and I selected a flash gallery or imported web galley (example here is airtight simple viewver...) ... the screen in the middle box keeping black nothing more.it's when I click under flash gallery.there is no photo adding ...
Previously it worked I saw when I clicked under airtight post card viewer web gallery ... all my photo getting on the middle screen..Now it only works with HTML lightroom gallery.More when I click under preview in browser some gallery works but some not ... when I said not ... the result is a black screen in IE or Firefox ...
I tried to uninstall and re install lightroom but result is the same .
I just upgraded to LR 4.2...
It DOES see the camera, the camera settings and even triggers the camera. However, the image files are nowhere to be found.
I just installed lightroom 3.3 and I cant seem to get my trackpad (HP Envy laptop) to work inside of LR3.3. When i try to two finger scroll, LR shows a dynamic scroll graphic but the current pane does not scroll.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI installed LR on my computer, win 7, and upgrade version 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 (with all updates) but i can't import pictures, they will be on the libary but i can't see them. if i use only LR 1, no problem, it starts when i installed LR 2!? but if i import a picture this will be shown in the libary but it is not dispayed( can't see the picture, only the place where this must be seen) I did use all the updates, but still no progress? how to handle so i can work my LR 3.6 ( before I upgrade to 4.0)
View 4 Replies View RelatedI want to set the filter to display only unrated and rated images so that rejected images disappear from the view as soon as I type "X" and move on to the next image. Then I want go through my rejects to make sure they are all duds before deleting them permanently, and i don't want to see them again until I do that. I can display one star or greater, but I can't figure out how to display unrated or greater Surely this is user error and not poorly designed filtering.

Before I was able to do in and touch up shadowy areas using (K) adjustment brush, but now it doesn;t seem to work. The radial brush does a good job for a defined area but for SPOT touching I have always used the the adjustment brush?
Is there a setting or am I missing something or is this a bug?
Tried to publish to face book in Lightroom 4 and 4.4 on both PC and Mac. You can create a new empty album in FB from Lightroom but Lightroom will not the allow you to select the album to upload the images. You just get an error message at the bottom of the screen telling you "error - no album selected" Wasted hours trying to get it to work as per Julian Kost video tutorial.

Sometimes you can tick it nothing happens but then click off the photo and back on, and the box is unticked but the crop has been applied!

I am using lightroom 4 and 5 on a Mac. Although preview of photos to be imported is shown I only get the message that the import could not be carried out (1) and the option to save the data as a :txt file. This was with Lightroom 4. It started first with being unabel to import directly from the camera, then I swithched to inserting the SD card directly into the laptop. This worked only after first downloading to the desktop. Later this didn't work either. I thought the program had become defect. Preview still worked and export is fine. I therefore updated to Lightroom 5 in the hope that this would solve the problem. However everything remains the same. Import still doesn't work with photos of any format. e.g. jpg or RAW.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI cannot get the heal to work on every picture. It will work on parts of the picture, but then turn into an arrow. I have the same problem with one of my presets. It worked fine on 30 pictures and then won't work on 1 picture. It shows the change in the box on the left but then won't actually change the picture. I can't figure out why it is not working.

I don't know if the move of photos caused the error or not. Now whenever I try to delete rejected photos, I get the following error message:

After having upgraded to LR5 the syncronization of the whitebalance doesn't seem to work. All the other settings syncronize as normal, but not the whitebalance. And the WB is checked, of course...
View 5 Replies View RelatedThe tethered capture doesn't seem to be working in lightroom 4.1 RC with the canon 5D mk3. The camera is detected with the correct name, but no camera parameter is recognized, and the camera can't take any photo.
I've experienced this both on Windows 7 64bits and Mac OS X. Importing canon 5D mk3 pictures works fine.
The "Edit In..." function doesn't wok when I choose Photoshop CS5 and select the "Edit a copy with Lightroom adjustments".
View 12 Replies View RelatedWhen I generate a 32 bit tiff (HDR) in PS CS5 from bracketed pictures within lightroom 4.1, import the tiff back into lightroom, adjust it in lightroom, and then send it back to PS (option "Edit a Copy with Lightroom Adjustments" selected) for further editing, the file won't open in PS. Opening the file directly in PS works, but without the adjustments made in lightroom.
I have tried the same with a 32 bit tiff from Photomatix. Same behaviour.
in print module main window for image control (not preview window in the left upper corner) is blank. what is the reason and how can be remedied? os Mac Lion 10.7.3 lightroom 4 ( the 3-rd version had the same problem)
