I want to find out duplicate line present in document which i have required to do curtain operations (e.g change of linetype, colour)on it. In my code, i am holding AcadSelectionset which contains number of lines which may or may not be duplicate line. I want to these detect duplicate line and also the original line. Currently i am doing this by checking start and end point of all lines present in selection set.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to duplicate a feature line report I did a while ago. It has offsets,elevations,eastings and northings. What I would like is the offsets shown. I am in toolbox, reports manager, corridor, Feature Line Reports. When I create a report I get the list of feature lines which shows point codes which are back_curb,etw,...etc. When I create the file, all I get are the point code such as Back_Curb Left which shows the station, easting, northing and elevation. How do I get those offsets?

Im working on a grading plan and want to consider raising the site to cut down on my export of earthwork. What I would like to is take my PROPOSED SURFACE A and copy it along with the grading features to a NEW SURFACE B. This way, if B doesn't work out, I can go back to A.
Im assuming I need a new surface and a new site?
I am a surveyor who wants/needs to perform survey adjustments on our data and from what I can tell this will require us to use FBK files generated from our TDS RAW files. Easy enough, but I am running into problems during import because when our field crews shoot a bad point or need to fix a point code they will overwrite the "bad" point with the "fixed" one.
when I go to import the points via FBK apparently the system doesn't realize these points were overwritten and I get duplicate point errors. This in itself isn't that big a deal except that I am only given the option to ignore the duplicate point (no overwrite, renumber or anything) which leaves me with a bunch of bad points, bad codes, etc. Sifting through the fbk to find the problems has proven dificult and time consuming.
Is there any way around this problem? we can bring our RAW files into other software (Carlson Survey, Trimble Business Center specifically) and everything works fine but we would rather not use extra software just to do survey adjustments, which C3D seems apparently capable of.
Is there a way to duplicate in place? I have a instance where I am using a lot of subtractions and I want to have multiple copies of objects in the exact same position. I am finding that when I do copy I often snap to the object but the direction for depth relative to the view I am in ends up being different. Example being I have a 2" Diameter circle extrude that I want to be 120" long. I created that. I want a copy of it in the same position. I am looking from the front so all I see is the circle. I select copy and grab the center point and snap to the centerpoint. Now I have its zero at the other's 120" mark. I am hoping I could just run a duplicate command, but I cannot seem to find that.

This is what I'm trying to achieve:

The block is for a unit that is made up of two fixtures (a cabinet and a wall with a counter top). Our customer uses the same ID for both fixtures and treats it as one unit, whereas our order form lists both the cabinet and the wall separately for production purposes. So both of our fixtures will have the same ID, but will have different product numbers and descriptions. In order for the information to show up in the table properly, I need two instances of an ID, # and Description attribute. If I use a different name for the additional attributes, I will get two extra columns.
I've got this drawing which I would like to engrave with my laser, but I'm afraid the duplicate lines from the imported WMF (from Adobe Illustrator) will hinder the performance of the laser. I have tried OVERKILL on all of its different settings, but there are still duplicate lines all over the place.
Any tips for removing the duplicates? The drawing is too intricate to go through and delete them by hand.

I had a few problems moving a project from 2012 to 2014. After a couple of tries I got everything set except the main alignment. When I originally used the Data Shortcut Editor to change the path of the shortcuts. I noticed that most of the paths were mostly UNC paths. So I replaced them with the current UNC path.
Now when trying to fix the one shortcut I've noticed that there is now a duplicate of the UNC path shortcut and one using the pathed network drive. So there is now a total of 3 references for each shortcut. I don't know yet if this is part of the problem but it doesn't look like it's a good thing.
My first inclination would be to delete all but the newest XML file for each reference.
My menu bar has duplicates of some items such as "edit", "view", etc. How can I access it to remove these duplicates?

If I select a cirlce from an xref and it has a handle of "E6" Then I select another circle from a different xref that has the same handle. When I use GetObjectId how do I specify which handle? Is there a way to give a handle and a file path and have it point to the correct entity or would I need to cycle through all entities and check for matching handle and file name?
In the end I would like to select an object, then store that data in a file and then recall that exact same object later.
Somehow I copied something and now when I open my drawing I have deplicate pipe networks with one being named something like Pipe Network and the 2nd being named Pipe Network(1). Pipe Network(1) does not show up in the toolspace. It has duplcated every pipe network in the drawing. I deleted all the pipe but when I close and reopen the drawing it comes right back. I've attched a pic. The single line is the original, the double line is network(1).

The above worked greatly with AutoCAD 2007. But yesterday I migrated my code into AutoCAD 2010 (with Object ARX 2010).
Unfortunately, it seems like AutoCAD 2010 catches before my code catches it. I guess I could just have a global boolean value that checks the status of event attachment.
We draw several instances of the same base object, a box for example. Different boxes have different features to plot on different layouts. For example, on one of the boxes we dimension lengths, on another we might show levels or elevations. We have multiple layouts based upon the number of unique features we need to plot. Then we batch plot those layouts to a single pdf file with multiple pages.
We do not plot to a scale, we just use dynamic zoom to make the layout look good.
Once that first layout is set, I want another layout with the second box, then a third and fourth etc.
How do I get the new layout with the second box to match the first one? I want the second box to be in the same position and be the same size as it is in the first layout.
i am new to inventor, but an alias user for many many years . Since alias and inventor do seem to communicate pretty well, i gave it a shot, since it has many advantages to use the 2 of them.
So, the simple question is: How do I duplicate and edge of a surface into a curve, from say, a imported wire file.
I cant find a way.....Looks so simple the interface and what it makes, that it ends up being difficult to me such simplicity.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a site plan from another .dwg that I copied with base point and inserted into my .dwg as a block. To edit this block in my .dwg I Rt. Click-Edit Block in Place, then use the Refedit Toolbar to save my changes. It seems each time I edit the block the linework, circles, etc. are duplicated; resulting in several duplicate objects stacked on top of each other within my block. I exploded the block, used the drawing cleanup tool and it found 37,000+ duplicate objects to delete! This happened before in another .dwg. I am running AutoCAD Civil3D Land Desktop Companion 2009, I also have an EaglePoint plug-in that we use to download our data.

when i launch my prog. --> the prog show a form with a datagridview. I have added a contextMenuStrip in this datagridview.
SO when i launch the prog with the right click (repeat last command) the form show and the contextmenustrip too. (if the mouse is on the datagrid.)
How i can cancel or purge the event mouse right click ?
Not sure if this is something that has been going on a while, if it is a design flaw, or if it just a workflow thing that we should be more mindful of, but here goes:
1. I data reference an alignment into a drawing.
2. I later data reference in a profile that was created from and associated with that alignment.
In this scenario, Civil 3D creates a duplicate alignment for the profile i.e., the orginal alignment is in prospetor as 'Alignment A' and the profile being data referenced in creates a 'Alignemnt A (1)' duplicate and associates itself with it.
This also happens if I bring in a different profile created from the same alignment IF the alignment was already present as a data reference in the drawing.
This seems wrong. It doesn't do any of this if I data reference the profile in first...
For some reason I have three copies of my point groups. I have not inserted any drawings into my current drawing. Just been working with pipe networks. There are three copies of every point group even though only a couple of point groups are being used in this drawing if that matters.

So I sketched a rectangle -> extruded (cut) -> sketched another rectangle -> extruded -> sketched another rectangle inside of one of channel -> extruded, and finally made a flow channel like in attached file.
What I hope to know are :
(1) Is there a way to copy that flow channel? Or should I have to do same repeatedly for tens of flow channel?
(2) Is there a way to make a flow channel easily?
This is a routine that draws a line between duplicate text.
Would it be possible to have the line as bold red p-line so that its easier to identify.

I have hundreds of drawings with attributes that are duplicated. I can't go through each individual drawing, call up BATTMAN and delete them one by one. I need a way to automate the process. The duplicates always show up in EATTE and show up most of the time in BATTMAN. I need a lisp that will find and delete duplicates shown in RED while leaving the originals intact.
View 6 Replies View RelatedFor some reason my drawing had created several duplicates of my grading critera. For example, my drawing has the following critera:
Cut to Surface
Cut to Surface.1
Cut to Surface.2
Cut to Surface.3
Cut to Surface.4
I did not create all these criteria, they just appeared one day. The problem is that I can't seem to be able to delete the duplicate ones. I get an error saying that the criteria "is currently in use, so it can not be deleted". I have deleted all the grading in my file and I still get this error. I have tried RECOVER and AUDIT several times with no luck.
