AutoCAD .NET :: Windows 7 Proper Place To Put Code (Program Directory)?
Apr 28, 2011
I am currently trying to update OS from XP to 7. In the past (XP) I was able to put my code just about any place in the Program directory. Win 7 on the other hand is giving me all kinds of write errors.
When I open up AutoCAD 2013 I get the following msg.
"The Modules Program Directroy does not exist. May need to reinstall"
What is the MPD and how does one reinstall it? My AutoCAD 2013 is part of the Product Design Suite Professional. I did go to the Control Panel and ran the Repair function of Mechanical Desktop, Inventor and a couple of other things but that didn't fix the problem.
When I start up my AutoCad 2013 I get the followiing message -
"Module Program Directory does not exist> May need to reinstall" What is the MPD and how does one reinstall it? The program seems to be running OK but that msg. is a bit distrubing.
The 2013 is part of the Product Design Suite Professional and is running on a Lenovo S-30/Win 7 Pro.
In 2.6 Gimp used to save to my windows Pictures directory. Now in 2.8 the default export directory is Documents, which I find a bit annoying. Can I change this behaviour?
I have created a VBA program (form with options) that modifies our parts list and saves the information to a text file for use by our purchasing dept. software. I need to be able to run this program on multiple IDW files whenever I have them open and whenever I need. How can I place it on the toolbar (ribbon) for easy access across any open file.
As of now the only I see is to export the form,, then import it to every IDW file, there has to be an easier way.
I just upgraded from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 8.1 Pro. Reinstalled my PhotoShop CS program. It will not activate over the Internet or by phone. It is asking for an authorization code. How do I get one?
Is there any way to fix the windows in place when opening a file that already exists?Example: I go to my image folder, right-click to open a .png in GIMP, and the window opens up like this with the right corners of the image window off the screen. I have to resize every time, just to see the right-most parts of my image when I zoom in.
This is what I want my default settings to look like - perfectly set within the screen, with each corner of the image window visible.I've messed around with the Preferences menu, but so far all I've been able to do is make it so my toolbox pops up in the same place.
I just purchased a new MacBook Pro and would like to place my copy of Light Room on it as well as on the XP PC. I see in my list of registered products it is a "multiple" platform product.
I just upgrade to Windows8 x64 and I'm using Illustrator 64 CS6. I am trying to drag and drop a TIF file off my desktop in to a document like I have so many times before in Illustrator but my cursor is showing the 'No' symbol (circle with line thru it).
In CS5, you could have mulitple images open in tabs, and there would be no additioanal padding around the canvas area; the image would lock in place to the upper left.
Now in tabs in CS6, the canvas floats in space. Any way to have tabs and get rid of the space/padding?
I have installed photoshop cs6 on my computer (Windows 7) but the program is a bit useless since it can't create or open files.I tryed reinstalling all my adobe program 3 times but photoshop still won't work. How I can make the program work?
I try to install vsx6 on my windows 8.During the installation a message appear : "Operation failed with 0x8007047F. The specified program is not windows or ms-dos" when i close this message, the installation continue and finish successfully !I can open it, but i can't manipulate video or something else. The application failed and must be closed !I try to install on my old windows XP and that works fine !
I am unable to minimize or close Photo Paint by mouseclick in W7. The program bar (is that how it is called?) is missing, so it is impossible to toggle between draw and photo paint. Coreldraw does show the program bar. Changing monitor resolution did not work, neither did reinstalling. On another computer of mine, with W XP there is no problem.
The photo sharing feature in PSE 10 does not work in Windows 7. Nor can an image be attached to an email, PSE 10 appears to be seriously flawed and not fit for purpose.
Photoshop CC is not among the programs listed and Windows won't let me add it to the list. Oddly, Illustrator CC is listed. How do I rectify this? I have Photoshop CS6 installed and that is listed. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate.
Yesterday, I started getting an error when trying to set the default colors and then flipping them. I also get a program error when I try to click on the foreground color and manually assigning it with white.
This is a Windows 7 Ultimate, with PS CS6.
I closed the program twice and ran into the same problem, then rebooted and got the same errors. As far as I can tell, this is the only tool or feature acting up, other than the actions which have this step in them.
Looking for an easy fix first, of course. Like maybe deleting the Prefs file? Mac people seem to have to do that regularly.
But, if nothing works, will I need to uninstall PS and reinstall it? Would that also mean I'd have to install all of my filter packages again, too?
I try to run Photoshop.exe, but it doesn't respond. I get this error message. How to fix it? I have no idea where is a problem? I had no problems with it earlier.

Just switched from Elements 10 to 11. How do I slide multiple windows to place them around the computer screen withiout leaving a cutout area (as in E11) as they do in Elements 10?
Ok just took the leap to Windows 8 and when reviewing the Reliabity Report in Windows PSE11 is showing up as stopped working, and it is causing some performance issues. it is because I dont have Quick Time installed. Installed Quick Time still have the problem.
I have attach one drawing if you open and copy this from one place to place then dimension is automatically increases. can i know how this increase or what type of this dimension it is.
I did 19 drawings, created blocks using the CREATE button, at first I could Insert them into any other drawing. But I saw this definition in a book,
Creates a block from separate entities (internal to current drawing), does this mean that a user on another computer cannot use my block unless he has the original drawing?
My boss told me that he uses WBLOCK instead, which writes to an external file.
I'm asking because out of the 19 drawings, 9-10 of them have the error "block referencing itself". I guess this is probably me naming the blocks the same as my file names.
So before I go any further, what is the proper way to create a block that can be used? I also shared my CAD folder on the network.
I am using AutCAD LT 2012 and I cannot figure out how to convert my drawings to EPS while maintaining the scale of the dwg. When my artists import them in Adobe, they show up as an 8.5" x 11" sheet. How to change the properties.
