Nov 18, 2013When I (am force) to use the Video Importer (because my clips are on a USB drive) it seems to find and select all videos on this USB drive. This is not what I want. I want to browse to the directory (on the USB drive) that I created. It contains the 6 video clips I want to import, not all 300 on the drive.
How to I select a specific directory on the USB drive using Video Importer
I'm using Premiere 12.

Dec 7, 2011I've had a simple lisp I've been using for years that suddenly disappeared. It required that you identify a block name, tag name, and the value that you want the tag to be. All of this is performed via command line, so it is scriptable. Since I lost it, I've been experimenting with -attedit. This command comes frustratingly close to what I'm looking for, except it only appends an existing tag, or replaces a specific string within the tag; I can't get it to replace the entire tag, regardless of its value.

2> How to make -attedit replace a tag value without regard to what the value currently is (like a * wildcard)?

Sep 26, 2012What I want to know is if there is a way to make a hotkey or at all save specific options for specific tools. Let's say I'm using the 'Paintbrush, Opacity 70%, Hardness 075, Size 4.00' as my "standard outline tool". Can I some how save that preference (and any other tool such as "Specific Eraser Op. 100%, Hard. 100, Size 10.00) so that I can easily switch between "Ouline Brush" and "Specific Eraser" . Maybe to the 'f-buttons'
I'd like to be able to make maybe 5 specific tools:-Outline Brush
-Small Eraser
-Big Eraser
-Detailed Color brush
-Big Color Brush.
AutoCAD LT :: Directory Name Is Invalid?
Jun 14, 2012I have a single lic. copy of AutoCAD 2012 LT on a single PC tied to a network server. Our server crashed and needed to be replaced. When they replaced the server, they gave it a new name so I had to reset all the file paths to the redirected folders for my PC. Now I keep getting an error: cannot create temporary file (then shows the file path to the old server).
I have reset all the file location in the files section of the options box, so I do not understand where AutoCAD is still seeing the old server. Is there somewhere else in the software that I need to change the file paths?
AutoCAD 2013 :: Won't Remember Directory
Jun 13, 2012AutoCAD Mechanical, using the <<VANILLA>> variant.
Click open icon. AutoCAD pops up the file open dialog box, in the wrong directory. I select the directory where my files are and open a file.
Then I click the open icon again. AutoCAD pops up the file open dialog box in the same wrong directory. I have to change directories every time I open a file. Yes, I have the directory I want set in the places. But that's never been how AutoCAD works.

I start up LT2009 and it goes to 'My Documents' I change to the relevant directory and then attach an image.
Immediately after that I press return to do the command again and it opens up a totally different directory.
AutoCad :: Module Program Directory Does Not Exist?
Jun 25, 2013When I open up AutoCAD 2013 I get the following msg.
"The Modules Program Directroy does not exist. May need to reinstall"
What is the MPD and how does one reinstall it? My AutoCAD 2013 is part of the Product Design Suite Professional. I did go to the Control Panel and ran the Repair function of Mechanical Desktop, Inventor and a couple of other things but that didn't fix the problem.
AutoCAD 2013 :: Does PROPULATE Work In Directory
Oct 1, 2013We have many directories, each with many drawings and each drawing has either one or many custom entries in its properties (File > Drawing Utilities > Drawing Properties.) I want to remove all the custom properties and it looks like the PROPULATE command should do this...but it doesn't work on a directory. It does work nicely on the current drawing but like i said, there are many drawings in several directories.
Is there any ~working~ way to remove all custom properties from all drawings in a particular directory?
AutoCAD VB :: Retrieve Image From Another Project?
Sep 21, 2011My dvb project file was getting bigger and bigger so I decided to split it into individual files. However, I want to have one file that contains all my library images and I had hoped to reference this library from all the other projects.
So, I have a MASTER.dvb project which contains a library of images, one of which is called LOGO.
In TITLEBLOCK.dvb I want to refer to that LOGO image and place it in my userform.
When everything was together I used LogoTB.Picture = Library.LOGO.Picture.
How do I modify this? I tried LogoTB.Picture = MASTER!Library.LOGO.Picture and variations thereof but can't get it to work.
AutoCAD Inventor :: Retrieve IProperties From IDW To IPT
Dec 20, 2013In the past we filled in our changes, we did on the part, in the iProperties of the IDW. In the IDW we use some Custom iProperties for this. That's not usefull because you want this data in the 3D-model. Now I have written some code to automate this, which works really great. This code works in the IPT as well as the IDW. But what I want to achieve is: When my IPT is the active document, I want to read out the iProperties from the IDW to check if there is already filled some of these properties, because I have to deal with 'old' documents as well.
So my basis question is: How can I read out iProperties from an IDW into the IPT. I have found lots of solutions which go the opposite direction, IPT -> IDW. I want IDW -> IPT.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Selecting Save As Directory With ILogic?
Oct 25, 2012I am making some iLogic automated parts which I want to save when I place them in an assembly.
Now I have the folder the file needs to be saved in allready specified in the simple code I wrote but I want to be able to browse the folders to select a specific one.
I run the code by activating it in a Form that pops up when you place the part in an assembly.
The simple save as code I wrote is as following:

AutoCAD 2010 :: How To Change Default Install Directory
Apr 14, 2010When trying to install autocad 2010 civil 3D, I cannot get past the initial select products to install page without getting a bunch of errors as detailed below:
Error 1327. Invalid Drive C:
Then;
Fatal error during installation.
#7560: failed to run AdskExecuteSequence
and finally;
Failed to initialise AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010
This is because when I installed windows, it assigned the letter H to the system drive (where Windows is installed) and as a result, there is no C drive in the system.
This has not been an issue for any programs installed to date, but is causing me grief when trying to install AutoCAD Civil 3D. 2010
Any way of changing the autocad code or settings around so that it will install to the H drive (or I can decide where it should install)?
AutoCAD Map 3D :: Default Insert Raster Image Directory
Jun 21, 2011Each time I go to insert a raster image it opens to a directory which has no files stored in it.
I do have a handful of directories that have my image files stored, and I have gone into Options>Files>storage paths>.... and set them per specs.
Is there a way to change the default directory that the dialogue box opens, when I select- Insert>Raster Image ?
I've also gone through all the options under the Option>File tab, and likewise don't see where it'd be set. I even clicked all the plus signs, down to their respective directories, and none of them match.
AutoCAD 2010 :: Limit Folder Directory To Only Last Few Directories?
Oct 29, 2012Is there a way to limit the folder directory to only the last few directories?
Example:
If I have the file here,
C:folder1folder2folder3...folder10file.dwg
And I only need to know this,
folder9folder10file.dwg
Some of my files exist in folder directories that extend off the sheet within the plotstamp printing single line and I would like to shorten them to only show the last few directories as all the ones before are exactly the same. I do not want to change the plotstamp to multiline and I can not move the files to other directories as this is just how our system is set up.

"Module Program Directory does not exist> May need to reinstall" What is the MPD and how does one reinstall it? The program seems to be running OK but that msg. is a bit distrubing.
The 2013 is part of the Product Design Suite Professional and is running on a Lenovo S-30/Win 7 Pro.

We just upgraded to ACAD Mechanical 2012, and I need to modify this setting again...it was something simple, I just can't remember.

I've looked at many posts for getting block attributes, but they either seem to assume I already have the Blockreference, or they give a prompt to the user. I'm hoping to avoid both of those.
I know the info I need is inside of a blockTable by the name of "DET".

Sep 3, 2013I have stored within an external database a handle of an entity within a drawing. If I have that drawing open and I retrieve that handle and then get the ObjectID from that Handle how do I convert that to a BlockReference so that I can then get position and attrribute values. I can get the position and attributes if I can just get the blockreference from the Object ID.
I am using the following code to get the ObjectID from the Handle:
