How I could go about creating a standard locknut thread, with the shaft generator (easy so far) BUT create a proper single rounded end key way? It does the end of the locknut groove with the rad that exits the shaft, but in complete truth (and 15+ years of experience.) I have never seen this done in the real world.

View 2 Replies View RelatedUsing Set Sheet Manager, I am trying to create an Office Standard Sheet Index Table.
I have begun by copying the Standard table and modifying it. I have adjusted the cell styles to reflect our colors and text types and sizes. I have also added two additional columns for revision number and revision date.
I have tried saving the new table ... and inserting a new table through the sheet set manager
the only tables i can bring in include the 2 original columns (sheet number and sheet title) and specified text font, size and color are maintained, but the additional columns and the column width are lost.
Ideally i would like the office format to be maintained...with little or no modification required of the user.
I am looking to create a table first of all which needs to be able to container text etc.
After that, ill be looking to create a mix of orange types to fill the top main title boxes and the same but lighter for the rest of the box.
But how would i about doing any of this such as creating a table, mixing colours etc?
I have (what I think should be) a relative simple question. I'm trying to find the best way to create a relationship between some standard primitive (box) objects (i.e. loudspeakers) at the walls they're supposed to be mounted to (i.e. the inner faces of another "box" object with inverted normals). I would like to be able to change the length and/or width values of the "room" (box object) and have the loudspeakers (also box objects) expand or contract with the walls.
I've tried linking and wiring parameters but so far no luck.
I have recently started attending a photographic club and want to start showing off my prints in competitions. To do so I have to mount them in a card border.
When I do this I loose part of the image because i need about 20mm all the way round to mount. A solution is to create a border which I can apply to all images. I do this at the moment in PS CS5 manually.
Is there an automated way to do this in LR3 via the presets so that a standard 20mm border is applied to any image irrelevant of size or orientation
I use gimp to make layered stencils for spray painting...I reduce it to a couple of colours, seperate the colours into different layers and then cut them out...
When I do im left with a ghost type image where the original layer was..
example: [URL]...
Is there any way of avoiding this?
i regularly have to print out colours for sublimating fabric, and use illustrator to create a panel of blends to print out.
I put four colours in the corners, make an 18 step blend or the top two, then the bottom two, expand them then ungroup them, and then change the blend options to 8 steps and blend them vertically one by one.
all in all it's several minutes work, but i thought i could change the values of the four corners, and then use actions to blend the grid.
initially it stopped and told me ungroup was unavailable, so i created smaller steps, but still can't get it to work.
is this possible, or do i carry on manually crating grids? or is there another way?
I have had a Corel account for several years. I bought, downloaded, and installed PSP X6 Ultimate several days ago. When I first loaded it, a window appeared asking me to register for a "Corel PaintShop Pro X6 Membership" (Standard), or to login under my existing account. However after I fill in the blanks for either new or existing membership and click the button, nothing happens...absolutely nothing. Then a smaller window opens that asks me to sign in (or if I'm not a member, offers an opportunity to learn more about PSP X6 Membership). When I fill in those blanks and click the button, I'm notified that I am not a member, so I click the link to learn more about PSP X6 Membership and am directed back to the window that doesn't do anything.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm having some problems with drawing paths in Illustrator. Everytime I draw a new path, this new path shows up in the standard settings. The 'brush defenition' turns back to 'basic' and the 'variable width profile' back to 'uniform'. It would save me a lot of time if I could change those standard settings into what I prefer.
View 5 Replies View Relatedi'm working on a job with 2 colours. I already did this using CMYK and setting 2 of them to 100% and the other 2 at 0%. But people who press these posters say me that they always have to convert the CMYK file to a 2 colours file. Is there a way to set my colours to 2 colours instead of 4?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just installed IV 2013 Pro and I am having some issues with changes in the IPN transferring to the IDW. I changed the colour of a part in an assembly which transferred fine to the IPN, but the IDW did not update. I have tried turing off the visibility of the part in the browser in the IDW, then turning it on again, selecting the associative icon in the drawing view dialogue box, but still the view will not update. I even tried re-inserting the IPN in the IDW, still the colour had not updated. This is unacceptable. I do not have time to re-create all the IPN's.
View 9 Replies View Relatedeverytime that i try and match properties or change the line type by selecting a layer in the layer properites manager, all the lines stay the same (as if nothing has happened). the lines that i am selecting are not in blocks
why i can not change the lines types or colours?
I have a part that is inserted in an assembly. If I change the color of certain portions of the part it isn't reflected in the assembly.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a drawings with multiple layouts. In the first layout the whole drawing looks exactly like in does in model space, with reference to the colours. In the other layout the drawings all change colour to what they will look like when printed.
In these other layouts if I copy a viewport the colour returns, but if I change to another layout and back again then it reverts to what the original was. I have attached an image.
The copied vp is the one on top.
Like I said proably a quick fix but I dont know where to start. Is it something to do with Vp colour overrides?
I have a dynamic block and want to change its colour. I've gone into blockedit and made the change there however when I return to the drawing the colours haven't altered.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an architects plan consisting of many different layers, I have exploded all the plan so that there are no blocks.
I have now created a layer called building. I have selected everything and and placed it on this layer. The layer colour is colour 8.
I now want everything to be by layer so that it is all colour 8. However when I select all (151038 items) and change it all to by layer nothing changes. All colours stay as they are.
But if I was to go and select a small area at a time it allows me to change them to by layer and the colours change to colour 8 as desired.
How to select all and select by layer and have all the colours change in one go rather than me going around the drawing selected sections at a time to make the colours change.
I have a building floor plan drawing which has many colours although the Layer Property Manager shows them as being all white so it seems every layer has had its colour modified manually.
it’s possible to set all layers back to their By Layer colour but take the manually modified colours with them?
I am plotting this using an OKI C821 colour printer.
It prints with gaps between the black text/lines and the red and green sectors.
I want to eliminate the gaps.
I have tried increasing`VIEWRES' to 20,000 and segements in a Pline arc to 1000.

I have a large symbols library and need to have 1 block name and count but be able to show them in different colours depending on where they are placed. (eg pink block at low level and green at high level, but when counted by block name it counts 2 not 1 green 1 pink).
Is there a way to automatically adjust the cut range colours (REDS) in the attached scheme such that the lighter colours denote lower cut depths in the same way that the fill range does (Greens)
I know they can be manually adjusted but when the analysis is run again the colours revert back

For the whole project we’ve had this issue, however it’s never effected our drawing until now.
When we receive an background, we use setbylayer to change everything to by layer, then in the layer manager, set the layer colour to 8, so all is grey.
Then we xref that background dwg into our model drawings and doodle all over the thing, pretty standard stuff.
But today, in our model drawing, I’d like to change, well, any of the xref’s layer colours, but I cannot! As soon as I make a change, it reverts back to the original ‘8’ colour. It refuses to change colour.
I’ve changed visretian from 0 to 1, open, closed, changed it again, all combinations but to no avail.
I can freeze, turn off & on layers, just not change the colour (or lineweight).
I'd like to copy the ilogic text & keep it's colour format - what will do this?
