View 3 RepliesI am new to Revit architecture and in the process of learning the software. How do I create a roof walkway for a sloping roof. these walkways are for people to be able to securely walk on the roof for maintainance of mechanical equipment fitted on the roof. Of the walkway will be along the gradient of the roof.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't seem to find any sloping reference plane I have inserted as a Top Constraint for a wall I want to draw under it. How to make that happen? The only Constraints visible are Levels and Levels only appear to allow themselves to be draw exactly horizontally.

I want to put this corvette in that parking garage.
What kind of tips can I have to make this look REAL.
When I paste the car in the garage it obviously doesnt match SIZE wise.
Can I just change the size of the car without affecting the background?
How about shadowing?
For one particular project the client need the colour and layer name in autocad in a specific way. We edited the load layer standard in rivet and exported to CAD. it worked, but we couldnt find the edited file so as to use them in other workstation.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have (what I think should be) a relative simple question. I'm trying to find the best way to create a relationship between some standard primitive (box) objects (i.e. loudspeakers) at the walls they're supposed to be mounted to (i.e. the inner faces of another "box" object with inverted normals). I would like to be able to change the length and/or width values of the "room" (box object) and have the loudspeakers (also box objects) expand or contract with the walls.
I've tried linking and wiring parameters but so far no luck.
I have recently started attending a photographic club and want to start showing off my prints in competitions. To do so I have to mount them in a card border.
When I do this I loose part of the image because i need about 20mm all the way round to mount. A solution is to create a border which I can apply to all images. I do this at the moment in PS CS5 manually.
Is there an automated way to do this in LR3 via the presets so that a standard 20mm border is applied to any image irrelevant of size or orientation
I have had a Corel account for several years. I bought, downloaded, and installed PSP X6 Ultimate several days ago. When I first loaded it, a window appeared asking me to register for a "Corel PaintShop Pro X6 Membership" (Standard), or to login under my existing account. However after I fill in the blanks for either new or existing membership and click the button, nothing happens...absolutely nothing. Then a smaller window opens that asks me to sign in (or if I'm not a member, offers an opportunity to learn more about PSP X6 Membership). When I fill in those blanks and click the button, I'm notified that I am not a member, so I click the link to learn more about PSP X6 Membership and am directed back to the window that doesn't do anything.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI see Civil3D has a Stage-Storage curve for determining volumes for incremental elevation increases for a bounded area (e.g. pond). This works well for water where the top surface is horizontal, however, i need to consider a sloping surface to duplicate a slurry discharged into a lagoon. This has a slope of 1% from the point of discharge and how i can determine the volume/height relationship considering this slope without having to do multiple grading and surface creation. The discharge point gradually moves upstream as the filling occurs to prevent the pipe becoming blocked by the slurry.
I thought about creating a 1% surface and incrementally raising it making it a comparison surface, but the 1% slope is not in a planar form, it is 1% from the discharge point in a radial direction.
Where is it? On page 332 of Gimp Bible (2010) it illustrates it in the dialog box, but it is not present in mine. I think that I am running the latest version.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHow I could go about creating a standard locknut thread, with the shaft generator (easy so far) BUT create a proper single rounded end key way? It does the end of the locknut groove with the rad that exits the shaft, but in complete truth (and 15+ years of experience.) I have never seen this done in the real world.

View 2 Replies View RelatedUsing Set Sheet Manager, I am trying to create an Office Standard Sheet Index Table.
I have begun by copying the Standard table and modifying it. I have adjusted the cell styles to reflect our colors and text types and sizes. I have also added two additional columns for revision number and revision date.
I have tried saving the new table ... and inserting a new table through the sheet set manager
the only tables i can bring in include the 2 original columns (sheet number and sheet title) and specified text font, size and color are maintained, but the additional columns and the column width are lost.
Ideally i would like the office format to be maintained...with little or no modification required of the user.
I am trying to distort/shape a photo to fit into another shape, in the shape of a shield. Its something that would be reused on other pictures.
2 things i would like to do, first is of course as above
the other, is there any way to create like a rubber stamp or a cutting tool, that once I have the shape I want created, I can use that to copy/cut/paste that image shape from other images also ?

Create or open a document.
Create a horizontal guide by dragging it from the ruler.
Now use the marquee tool to select the upper half of the picture, with the bottom of the selection snapping to the guide.
Result:Some times it happens that the resulting selection is different than the (logically) same selection made from the lower half of the picture to the guide and then inverted.Effectively this means sometimes when I use a snapping guide as the limit of a selection from one direction it is not border-to-border with one drawn from the other side. Then a line of one pixel height 'behind' the guide is not selected by either one of these procedures.
Expected Result:When the guide (which should have no width or height at all) forms the border of a selection from one side, it should be the inverse of a selection touching the guide from the other side.

View 2 Replies View RelatedBefore I was able to transfer my niece's wedding video from a Sony miniDV handycam into Ulead and create the perfect wedding DVD. Now I can not remember exactly all the steps, but what I do remember is that just following the product's manual did not work. I can recall at each stage (Capture Phase etc) there was a set of steps, a recommended work flow. I think Steve (Sjj1805) might have pointed me to that work flow, and when followed exactly that was the key to getting the software to work properly (things like lower field first, capture in AVI format, select DV type 1 and so on)..
(BTW I will still be using ULead Video Studio version 10) ps computer with Ulead on is 1.79 Ghz Duron, 1.5 Gb of ram and I use an external usb hard drive to store the large video files on, windows XP pro OS.
But I'm currently using a later computer with Vista, an i7 2.67 Ghz processor, 6 Gb ram and some bundled software called Power Director to get old VHS tapes transferred via a composite video - USB interface cable into computer video files. At moment I'm letting that chug on with its default settings, so from my 3 hour VHS tapes its creating an mpeg file which it has automatically chopped up into 3 separate mpg subfiles (I didn't ask it to, I can probably find out the 'flavour' of the file), each is about 3.8 Gb. The Power Director software has got its own editing and mastering and burning facilities, but I wish to use Ulead's. Perhaps I'm (it is encoding ?) at too high a resolution, but the only quick advice I saw was to encode at the highest possible quality.
If possible I would like each of the old tapes to be on a single DVD, I can not remember if Ulead can take care of that, or you have to use something like DVD shrink?
do you have a detailed procedure for updating autocad 2013 to 2014?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI assumed from the scheme manual that procedure-overloading (in the form of different numbers of arguments) was permitted, since, for example, there are two versions of string->number.However, I can't seem to get it to work.Anything special one needs to do to overload?
If you take the following code and run it in the script-fu console, it works;but replacing all occurrances of "foo2" with "foo" gets into an infinite loop (I guess; it never returns, in any case). Is this just a user-error mistake,or is there something different needed to overload a procedure definition?I realize the two arg definition had to appear before the one arg definitionwhich used it; if the order is wrong I get the wrong # args error, which makes sense.
(define (foo2 arg1 arg2) (string-append arg1 arg2))
(define (foo arg1) (foo2 arg1 "def"))(foo "abc")
foo2foo"abcdef"
