I want to use a true type font on my CAD template. I have copied the file and saved it in the fonts folder (path x64/acadlt/windows/fonts), however in CAD when i try to select the font it is not available on the list.

View 6 Replies View Relatedissues using True Type Fonts when printing some text through CorelDraw x6. Basically I do screen printing, and I have issues printing TTF's... The text when it prints out chops letters/adds spacing where its not needed, and towards the end of the sheet of vellum - starts to print the first letter of word on the left over again...
I haven't had issues printing off of my HP printer, but that broke so I invested in a BROTHER HL-2230 monochrome laser printer.
Last week I installed a new True Type Font in Windows, so that our drawing title blocks comply to our company standards. I noticed that when checked in into the Vault, the title block containing the new font doesn't display correctly. It shows the new font, but it's distorted; it's bigger, and the letters are too close to eachother. When printing from the Vault, this doesn't change, it's exactly what Vault shows. (See attachments). Also when publishing from within Inventor (File --> Export --> Export to DWF) the font gets distorted.
Posted this message in the Vault-forum, but according to Autodesk it's an Inventor related issue.
Our non-Cad-people are complaining about this, because it's non-compliant to our standards... How can I correct this matter?

By default, the PDF print drivers we use (Bluebeam, PDF 995) set True Type text handling to be "as graphics" rather than "as text" (see below), which makes for some ugly text. I know I can make this change and save as a .PC3 file, but all our page setups for sheets & templates in the office all reference these default drivers, so it would be preferable to change the way the default driver works if possible. Is the default plotter configuration editable?

View 1 Replies View RelatedHaving a specific font style (Handel Gothic) which is used for our company logo i find that this does not seem to be supported by Inventor.
I have attempted to import .dwg drawings into inventor with the logo but this does not work.
Another method i have tried is to draw the characters in sketch mode and then attempt to solid hatch them again with little success.,there does seem to be no facility for hathing in sketch mode!
This logo font is used on our drawing border sheets and also nameplates so our MD is keen to keep the present format.
I have custome line type with texts (ex : ---HW-- ) . In my definition, I have a specific text styles "LINETYPES" linked to it.

I draw, and after, I would like to know, how to change the fonts in my custom line types (for example --HW--) from ARIAL to TAHOMA. If I change my Text syles and reload mu custom linetype it doesn't change the text fonts.
Photoshop does not reload the desktop synced fonts from type kit. They are acknowledged as synced in the creative cloud main page but not visible in the project (even if I try to reload the fonts).

I've found that Myriad Pro Bold is a good one for this but I'm looking for others that will give a nice, professional look to my banner ads as well.
I downloaded a new font (blippo.tff) and wanted to use it in photoshop. I am running Mac OS 10.2.8
I tried putting the font in the library's fonts folder, however it did not show up in PS when the application was opened. I then went to application support, and to adobe's fonts folder, and added it. Once again I reopened PS and it did not show up. I also tried this in the users's library's font folder without it working again.
I've researched for ages on google and can't find anything that explains why it won't open in Photoshop.
This is the first time I have tried to add a font. In the fonts folder in my library I also noticed many other fonts on my computer that PS did not display.
Im using windows xp home and photoshop cs if it matters, but I cant seem to install any fonts into photoshop. Ive heard that if you put the fonts in the WINDOWS > fonts folder, that something should come up to install them. Ive read FAQ's and thats all they say to do, is to put them in the fonts folder. View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm new here but for from new to PSP. I've used PSP8 for years and now are using PSP X1. I got PSP 4 but I'm not a fan at all. Anyway I've got a new PC running Win7 64 bit pro. The thing is PSP has decided it want use Adobe open style fonts. The True Type are fine. The open style do show in the fonts list and when used they do create a new vector layer and show the writing in the layers column. The thing is they don't show on the image. They used to work fine before but not now.

Type 1 fonts not displaying. Open Type & True Type OK. Type 1 OK in all other programs. Problem just happened a day or so ago.
Since applying the latest Microsoft updates to XP/SP3 last week I can now no longer add Open Type 1 or Type 1 fonts to Fonts in Windows, and therefore can't add more fonts for use in Photoshop CS3. I tried a new hard drive, reloaded with XP/SP3 plus updates and the exact same thing occurs. Any of those types of fonts I try to add come up as corrupt/can't load, when in fact they are not corrupt and the exact same font files load with no problem in another XP/SP3 machine that hasn't had the updates applied, and they also load without a hitch in a Vista machine. Anyone else, who has all the updates installed noticing this? Anyone have a solution? I know that this isn't exactly 100% related to Photoshop only, but it does affect the program.

I get a correct .eps file however when I want to import those files I get some font problem. For example: my degree symbol ° gets somewhat confused with another letter é. Same goes for some symbols like the greek theta. In gnuplot I use that /Symbol t for theta and its also correct in the output. However if it goes to corel it gets confused with these symbols and imports the curves wrong.

Does anyone know which fonts in this pack are good for small type? Maybe something thick that will look better at a smaller font size.
I've tried going through the fonts by highlighting the font name in the box and using the arrow keys to rifle through them, but as you know, it highlights what's on the page, making it near to impossible to see how the font would actually look if it weren't highlighted.
Suddenly my normal crisp type is all ragged. Don't know how to fix this- tried restarting, no luck. All of my files have this problem now.
