Oct 19, 2011How, or if it is possible to change the default file location for a tube and pipe run?
I know that you can browse out and modify the file path on your initial save but is there any way to change the default?
Example of what the default is: (assembly part number = 123456)
location for Tube and Pipe runs: C:ProjectsDesign Files123456123456AIPTube and Pipe
location for Run File: C:ProjectsDesign Files123456123456AIPTube and PipeRun01
example of what I would like the default pathing to be:
location for Tube and Pipe runs: C:ProjectsDesign Files123456
location for Run File: C:ProjectsDesign Files123456
basically I would like to remove the sub folders so all files are saved in one folder location.
My company is using inventor routed systems 2010.

Apr 30, 2013I'm keeping my photos in a "sort of" date based structure, i.e 2013.04.28_EVENT NAME
Previously I'd just copy the photos from the camera card into the folder on the hard drive and then run a catalog "import in place" to get LR to find the files. I have now upgraded to a Canon 7D and thought I'd try the "Import from card" function after this weekend's shoot. I had too folders to import to, but in each case LR created sub folders under each of these as "2013" and "2013.4.28". I see from other posts that this may be a default folder structure that LR imposes. Is it possible to turn this function off and just import from the card directly into the folder of my choice.
Failing this I'm faced with the prospect of moving all the files back to the "root" sub-folder and then re-cataloging, or going back to my previous method of copy first (in explorer) and then cataloging.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: 2012 - Pipe Structure Editing - Changing Preset Lists For Structure Sizing
Nov 4, 2011We use C3D 2012 (metric only) - We are attempting to customize our list of structures for Sanitary Sewers. The structure list shows sizes we do not use and we would like to modify them. However, when we try to select the "Inner Diameter" it displays a list of sizes that we can not seem to modify or add to.
I have looked at some of the XML files to try and modify or add new sizes (example: AeccStructConcentricCylinder_Metric.xml) , but they do not seem to be recognized even after I restart the program.
Here is what the file looks like:

I tried modifying the last line replacing 2550 with 3600.
I also tried adding a line <Item id="i7">3600.0000</Item>
I saved the XML file and restarted the program with nothing changing that I can see.
Looking for correct file(s) to edit so I can modify the LISTS that come up in the piping modules.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Step File Import With False Surfaces
Mar 12, 2013I have come across a problem where I import a step file. And it brings in a false surface that is not supposed to be in the file. When I highlight the base of the solid it only highlights what it should (not the false surface). The surface cannot be extrude cut or removed.

It's work fine but i have same question. There is some string to refresh an iLogic Module? When i push the ruel button the rule add the custom value in iProperties, but there are disabled, i have close the module an reopen it for correct display the value of the iProperties.
this module work with single parts. Can I do an rule who do the same thing of my string but in one assembly, do this for every parts of assembly automaticly??

How can I change the BOM structure of the parts to Phantom, I really don't want them showing up in parts lists... and I'd prefer not to just shut off the visibility at that level. They are all set to "Purchased"... can this be changed? I tried opening the part and setting the default to Phantom, but since it is a CC part, I get an error message.

Jul 26, 2012Let's say i want to draw a bike. In the 2D IDW of the wheel I want to see the frame as a reference. So, in the .iam of the wheel the frame subassembly is inserted and checked as reference. Also, a new level of detail is created that surpressed the frame.This level of detail is used in the overall assembly of the bike.
So, I end up with several subassembly's that contain other subassembly's just to reference them in the IDW. It would be better to have just one master assembly and create several IDW's from that assembly with different LOD and reference settings.
