AutoCAD Inventor :: Why Are Dimensions Flipping Around

I am dimensions moving around in my drawing files and I am trying to figure out why they do this. I change one little thing on my models, open the drawing, then spend 30 minutes going over every dimension in comparison to the old drawing trying to find all the ones that moved erratically and put them back where they were. Most of the dimensions that move don't have anything to do with the change I made to the model.
For example, the dimension in this picture used to be on the other side of the other extension line, and it was never that close to the geometry:

I use CHSPACE a lot to bring dimensions over to paper space off of my 3d structural steel models when I am doing site layouts. Occasionally the dimensions flip over upside down? I am guessing this has something to do with the UCS orientation between model and paper space, is there a system variable of setting or something that will stop them flipping over?

Here's the situation:
I have a tube, approximately 16" O.D., 14" high, and 1/8" thick. This is all a single part.
I'm trying to cut 3.5" wide and 4" tall slots around the top. The number of slots can be 1-6.
I'm driving the size and slots from a spreadsheet.
The orientation of the slots can have the first slot anywhere from 0 to 360 degrees. (FWIW, the spreadsheet redefines 0 and .0001 and 360 and 359.99).
Anyhow, as long as the first slot is between 0-180, it works just great. Once you pass 180, however, the verticals of the sketch flip so it's barely cutting the notch at all.
To make the cuts i've created a sketch off the top of the cylinder and drawn a construction line at 0 and another and put a driven dimension between them to set the correct position of the angle. I think create a workplane off that line tanget it to it's end point. At that point, draw sketch, extrude, etc.
I've also create a workplan off one of the origin planes and the origin Y axis that's perpendicular to the notch (angle driven by spreadsheet and equation in workplanes angle offset). Offset a 2nd plane tangent to the O.D. of the tube, created a sketch, extrude etc.
In both instances, when the angle crosses 180 degrees, the sketch flips on me.
What can I do to keep the sketch from flipping?

I have two parallel lines, seperated by a dimension. I need to change the dimension back and forth between 0" and 4" for my model. Occasionally, the dimension will flip directions when I am changing it from 0" to 4". Is there a way I can avoid this? Should I be approaching my sketch differently?

I typically as much as possible like to insert my dimensions into my drawing from my model.
I created holes in the model as a 1/4" tapped hole
Yet when I show the dimensions in the drawing they show the minor dimension.
How do I get the 1/4" to show? I have selected the feature and still get these results.

is there a way to lock the dimensions to aligned dimensions...or a key i could hold while dimensioning that would do that..
i have to dimensions a drawing where theres a lot of aligned dimensions to put and to do it manualy each time takes forever...

Is there a way that I can get a small angle between my leader and the landing? When I get to a certain angle, the text flips. I can't place the text exactly where I want it because of this. I've tried changing the Readability Bias angle in the label style but that didn't work.

Flipping the direction of the constrain dimension,
I couldn’t figure out how to flip the direction of the constrain dimension (attached) while working in the block editor environment.

I was curious to know if it is possible to flip the orientation of an attribute when using a mirror parameter. I would like to orient my text to the right when I flip it one way and to the left when I flip it the other way.

I have a cylinder with an 18mm diameter.
I export my ipt to an stl (and I make sure that I click on options before I convert and make sure the units are in mm) yet the units are still off. I am using Inventor 2013.
It seems like most people were able to solve their problem by clicking on options but even that seems like it is not working for me.

A simple dynamic block using a Block Properties Table to control the value of an attribute. The block also has flip & rotate actions, but I cannot get the Block Table grip to flip or rotate with the rest of the block even though it is part of both selection sets.

I'm trying to make a Dynamic Block for handicap parking spaces (attached).
I have a flip action so that I can switch the direction of the linear array. The problem is when I flip the block, the handicap logo is mirrored (obviously....).
Is there a way to mirror just the location of the logo, instead of mirroring the location AND the logo?
Would it be possible to make a block with the handicap logo and lock the X scale value to 1 ?...
worst comes to worst, i'll remove the flip action and replace it with a rotate action.

I have been reading here that the preferred mode of generating dimensions on the drawing views is by using "Retrieve" method.
My question is: how can I programatically add dimensions or measurements to the model so I can retrieve them in the drawing view? This has to be all done by code.

Is there actually a good reason why dimensions in IV are vectorless? If not, can we consider as a feature request? This gives me constant headaches in Inventor with my sketches and mates solving in unpredictable ways. I know I can use work planes as a work around, but it's a huge PITA.

I have a part made by a former co-worker that appears to have some dimensions locked. The second feature on the attached file is a pair of rectangular cuts. I would like to edit the dimensions of the hole, but when I select a dimension I am unable to enter any numbers in the dialog box.

Quick question...
Once a 3D object is drawn/completed in Inventor LT, how does one go back to the object to change the length/radius of certain objects without having to completely redrawn the object. For instance, imagine a bike wheel that is fully draw. Later perhaps one wants to go back to the wheel and adjust the radius of the spokes and the length. How does one do this quickly. In 2D I see how, but can this also be done in 3D with Inventor LT?

in Autocad it was easy, in dimension style I could set up dimensions to be rounded to 5 ot 10 or any other value.I now need to set dimension to be rounded to 5mm (5, 10, 15, 20 .......). And I can not find a way to do that.

Also be sure to pick the 'aligned dimension' method and not the 'linear dimension'. I hope that works in Revit as it does in AutoCAD.
