Is there a way of quickly and easily toggling the visibility of the line from shown from the base view to the detailed view ? I just want to flick it off so I only see the detailed view with no line attached.

The text commant in a drawing has the option to attach an arrow head with a leader. I want the text to be horizontal, so, i drag the leader line approximately horizontal.

Is there a way to remove the extension line from a leader (when using the Leader Text command)? I'm trying to end up with just text, an arrowhead, & a straight line. It would look like this:

When I'm doing a large import, all I can see is the little white progress bar in the upper left. Since it sometimes gets hung up on an operation, it doesn't provide enough feedback about the processes.
I'd prefer to be able to double click that and see a full activity report in a new window of what is getting imported as it's happening, with a separate progress bar for each item. I'd like to see this for all other actions as well, but importing would be my priority.I requesting a new feature? I'm running Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.3 RC [858820].
How does one remove the boundary box for a detail view? I don't want it sitting in my main view, as this is a conveyor and it's very obvious at to where the drive arrangement is sited. See attached.
I'm guessing changing it to another layer that does not print is one option, or?
I made a drawing, but after using ilogic (ilogic is in drawing,assembly, part) in it, drawing view of a particular part is coming in hidden line, other are shaded as u can see in image.
Drawing view is associative, all edges shown, level of detail is master, view style is Hidden Line Removal with Shaded

Is there anyway to prevent AutoCAD from converting a MTEXT leader with a block element attached to a BLOCK leader when doing a copy/paste? See screen shot.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen i use the BOM feature, i get a list but cannot get panel sizes as dimensions in a table. I can get a part ID and other not so important in for for a BOM but dimensions and sizes should be key.
How can i get a detailed BOM to include panel sizes (like a cut list).
How can you force the geometry of reference parts to print behind to print behind your visible parts. I have my reference parts print out on a light gray layer to be shown indistinct on a drawings, but it prints over my object lines in effect hiding them. This is even true if a reference part is hidden. Then hidden line will print over the object lines as well.

I have messed with style settings for a new Vertical Txt style, and Vert Dim style -(pointed to the Vert Txt style and adjusted Notes and Leaders tab)
i don't understand why in the Format Text window the "rotation" box is always grayed out. can you unlock it?
How do I show detailed drawings of all weldments onto one drawing sheet? I have created a weldment assembly of various pipes attached together and would like to create shop drawings. Please see attached picture for model tree. I can't seem to bring in seperate views of each of the pipes on the same drawing sheet for proper detailing. Do I have to do something before making the assembly or afterwards to get those views?

In the idw, I was once able to dimension between a visible view line and a visible scketch line, but not now.

I tried changing the layer thickness and making sure the settings were such that the leader line thickness would be determined by the layer. Some of the leaders on my drawing somehow changed so that the arrowheads do not show. When I began working on the drawing, the arrowheads were fine, but while I have been working on the drawing, all of a sudden these leaders changed this property.
The properties manager lists these problem leaders as "line with no arrow." Although there is a drop-down menu to choose things like "line with arrow," the "no arrow" option does not change when I pick anything else.

I have a leader that I want to make the line part of thicker (already made the leader arrow head bigger). I saw that it appeared to be based on dimension style, and I tried changing the lien thickness in there although as we use color dependent plot files, not line weight dependent plot styles, this had no effect.

So I was wondering if there's such an option in autodesk inventor 2013. Currently, to view all the different sides and aspects of a part easily, i have been changing the part's material to polycarbone or some other plastic material; this makes the part a little translucent. But this is less effective than the hidden line vew availble in solidworks. method that makes different parts of a 3d part more easily to be viewed?

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor my dimension style, I have my text placement set to over dimension line, with leader, so I can drag the actual text outside the dimension line with a leader attached when necessary, but when I try to move the text outside of the dimension line it always draws the leader underlining the entire piece of text that I have moved. Is there a way to control the leader to attach to the middle of the line and not underline the entire piece of text when doing this operation?

View 5 Replies View RelatedWe just recently upgraded to Inventor Pro 2014. I have a user who has created a singled shaded view drawing. He want to print the drawing shaded. When he prints he gets a line drawing. It even appears like a line drawing when he previews it. He gets the same results when printing to Adobe. He said it printed properly in the morning yesterday and when he tried to print again in the afternoon it would not print shaded. He rebooted this morning and he still can't print a shaded drawing from Inventor. We looked at his printer settings and everything looks good. He is the only one in my department who is having this problem.
