AutoCAD Inventor :: Saving File As PDF Launches Adobe Reader When Don't Required
May 14, 2012Like the subject says. I know there is a place to check or uncheck whether you want Adobe Reader to launch after you have saved a file to .pdf but for the life of me I can't remember where that is located.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Measurement Not Adding Up While Converting To STP File
Sep 27, 2013After finishing a part in Inventor 2014 a want to store it as a STL file. Thats no problem but when the part is saved as STL it measurement don't add up any more. The STL file becomes a factor 10 smaller. So 50mm ends up as 5mm. So thats a problem.

AutoCAD LT :: Launch PDF Reader
Jan 3, 2013There *is* a command you can use to launch PDF documents from a button in AutoCAD LT, isn't there? (I do mean "open", in Acrobat Reader or equivalent.)
I know there used to be one, because I have macros that used START to open a PDF file. However, they were built for AutoCAD LT 2007, and START is not a known command in AutoCAD LT 2010.this icon should launch the CAD manual..

Aug 15, 2012I have a DXF file in Autocad LT which I need to import into a CAD Reader for a CNC machine. The cad reader can only view a 2D image of the TOP of the part. The problem is that the view I want the cad reader to see is the RIGHT hand side view in Autocad. Is it possible to reassign the views in Autocad LT 2008 so that the right hand side view become the top view therefore allowing the cad reader to see the correct side.

Jan 13, 2012When creating a pdf with the integrated DWG To PDF, all my text arent recognize with my PDF reader, so i cant do a copy/paste or a search in my pdf.. I use the Arial font and got all fonts installed.
I fount that if a setting on the width factor or the inncline factor of the text is changed, the text is not recognize.

Feb 6, 2012A client of mine is unable to read correctly the pdf that I send him. The issue is this: I generate my pdf with the DWG to PDF.pc3 in my ACAD 2012 (64bits).
Within our office, the pdf looks correct, but when our client opens it, the mtext notes appear disorganized.
I am attaching two screenshots: text1 is how our pdf looks, text2 is how it looks when our client opens it.

The difference in image quality is because I receive a scan of what he prints.

Nov 20, 2013I have one function which generate the PDF file using COM API.
That function works fine and generated the PDF successfully.
Only problem is after generating the PDF, Adobe Reader is opened to display that DWG file which I have plotted.
so is it possible to plotting to PDF file without opening Adobe Reader?

Sep 5, 2013I've recently re-install my AutoCAD on my Win7 PC and now whenever I try to draw a Line, there's this automatic measurement of the length of the line I'm stretching. It is really causing a lag on my PC for some reason and I seem to can't find a way to turn it off.

Oct 20, 2013I needed to know the Side Opposite so that I could subtract that amount from a known line length.
I knew the angle (24) and the side adjacent (.9375) therefore SIN 24 = X/.9375 .0467= X/.9375 = .3813
When I measure the side opposite I get .4172

Nov 5, 2011I import from my card reader directly to a folder on my hard drive and into LR as DNG files. The next time I try to import, some of the files I previously imported are still checked as well as the new ones on the card. If I try to import the ones I had previously added, they are imported again although I have the "Don't import suspected duplicates" box checked. I have to unchecked all the files and then recheck the new ones.

Feb 24, 2012How to convert the “existing” hatch from one measurement to another?
In the screenshot below, the first hatch is drawn with “measurement” = 1 (metric), while the second is drawn when the measurement = 0 (imperial). The “measurement” value is not a property for the hatch!
Then how to convert the hatch that already exist and drawn with the “measurement” = 0 to the “measurement” = 1.
In other words, how to switch all the hatches in a particular plan from being “imperial” based (measurement = 0) to “metric” (measurement = 1)?
Is there a way to do that? Or should we delete the existing hatches and re-draw them with the required setting (metric/imperial)?

The files are Nikon NEF raw. What do I need to do to import them? According to Adobe's web site lr4 comes with Nikon D2X raw format already included.

Oct 8, 2013The measure tool is not giving me the correct measurement. For example, I offset a line 24' and when I go to double check the distance it is off by .03. That is starting on the original line and doing a perpendicular snap to the other line. So I thought, wait a minute that can't be right, so I drew a line between the two lines and did an inquiry and it gave me 24'.
I also did a dimension which also was correct. I also measured a 97' line and it was off by 3 feet. Never had issues with previous versions of Autocad as far as measuring.
