How can I animate conveyor belt so that the bucket on the belt also moves.

I need to create rotating pulleys with belt can be v-belt or synchronous one. Shaft number one needs to power shaft number two by using this belt. I created shafts and belt with pulleys by using design accelerator but I dont know how to set all the constraints/connections to make them move. Link to the animation tutorial( I found tutorials for this but they are not with the shafts, just pulleys with chain or belts).
View 1 Replies View RelatedHow can I create a flat belt driven system? The drive system and the flat belt are in the attachments of this message.
What I did until now was to create a part for the belt within the assembly (extrude part). The sketch is depending on the position of the rollers and everything else. Although when I create the belt I can no longer move the system. If I suppress the belt, move the system and unsupress the belt, the belts assumes the new positions.
My purpose would be to be able to still get a variable assembly so I could also make a dynamic simulation of the system.
Im a new user of Autodesk Inventor, working in a semi automation company, supplying conveyors and other related customized equipment. how to animate conveyor flow. attached is my file. a box and a conveyor line with straight, curve and spiral path. by self study I learned a lot of animation but this time I'm having problem because it's a combination of curve and spiral
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create a simplied part of a conveyor. It's not too big yet, just over 7000 occurrences - see attached. Yesterday after about 5 hours I crashed Inventor (2014) and tried again. Eventually I let my PC run through the night and this morning it had completed the task. To save took almost 2 hours, producing an *.IPT of just over 830MB. When I restarted my machine (to free the RAM again) I could not open, getting a serious error.
The old shrinkwraps seemed to work way better. I need to create a "dummy" model which breaks all links to the originals assemblies so no one can tamper with it.
My specs:Inventor Professional 2014, 64 bit edition, I've got an HP Z400 desktop which is a 3.2GHz Processor with 4 cores, 12 GB RAM. NVIDIA Quadro 4000 graphics card.
Designing conveyor or assembly lines in autocad? I know there is Factory layout, but my boss will not pay for the extra softwar. She wants me to get them done with AutoCAD. Im not new to CAD, but she needed me to move to working with line layouts. Also what sites and literature can i study to begin to understand the layout process. Im not talking about 3D tools or part design, its all 2D. Im also looking for the in's and out's of laying out a line for food and bottle product lines. Im thinking the equipment will be a block and possibly being dynamic blocks so that i can lengthen and shorten the parts to fit the space.
View 0 Replies View RelatedI am currently working on a template for a belt conveyor, everything works fine, except for one small detail. I have flip states to relocate the drive. The issues im having is IF the drive is flipped before the width of the table is set, the drive does not end up in the proper place.
I have the mirror lines for the flip states stay centered on the table. I know what needs to be done, which is allow the drives to be stretched only when they are in certain locations. Im just not sure how to do this.
Attached is the file. I am currently using AutoCAD 2009 (this would be much easier with Parametric Constraints) (The block needing work is "Drive Table")
I am looking for a formula that will allow me to generate flat layouts for screw conveyor flights.

When I apply pathdeform modifier to a single object with defined curved spline, there's no problem with the animation. But when I attach multiple objects to form single polygon the deformation path messes up.Objects astray from their initial positions before attaching.
How can I export an animation that I have created in Inventor Studio and Import into Showcase? I see that Showcase creates an *.fbx file when it imports my Inventor Assembly, but somehow the results I get are different every time I import.
After some time I discovered that "Verhalten" seems to contain the animation from Inventor, but there are always some parts missing in the animation where Showcase (2012) doesn´t recognize that there are other parts connected to that one moving part.
It´s all constrained in Inventor and behaves like it should either in the assembly and in the studio environment.
Im having trouble animating an assembly i made. It is a twin cylinder foot pump for car tyres, nothing special. When i try and animate it i have trouble getting the pump to move. When trying to animate constraints it doesn't like it and parts move about all over the place. I've also tried animating parts and this doesn't work either.

We've been given instructions to place a flat steelpart on one side and it's suppose to come out as an ideal product on the other. This is just the first step, it all will hopefully be a factory that is fully functional by 1 year from now.
Flat steelpart -----> Being brought into a place where everything is put together -------> The product.

how to create an animation when it has to involve bending, constrain etc in the same? I couldn't find anything on youtube, only how to get things to move forward.
I have a tracking solar array - 2 axis of movement. But always normal to the sun. Is there a way to show the shadows from the sunlight throughout the day? A bmp is attached.
View 1 Replies View RelatedBut why is it that I can only seem to save an animation in Inventor Studio (2014) as a .wmv (or Windows Media File)? Shouldn't I have the options for saving it as other types such as an .avi or the like?
I could have sworn I was able to in past releases. I should be able to save it as such, so where oh where is the setting that is dictating this?
Note: This animation is a cross section, not a shaded, realistic type with lighting and camera details to worry about.
I'm trying to animate a 6-axis robot in Inventor 2012 Pro, which moves to about 10 different locations. I'm using parameters to drive the constraints to position the wrist, and I have several different positional representations with unsuppressed / modified constraints. When I try to animate between the positional reps in IV Studio, the parts just snap into place instead of interpolating between each location. Also, I have to manually enter the timing for each step, instead of just entering the max angular velocity of each joint.
Would it be easier to create the animation in dynamic simulation using a spatial joint at the wrist? I'd like for the positions to still be modifiable through the parameters.
I created *.ipn file and I tried to record the animation AVI file. After I finished playing the animation, I can see the AVI file was created but with 0KB, the avi is empty and cannot open.
I have no problem to create AVI file in my laptop but have such problem in my office's desktop computer.
Is it possible to change materials mid animation in inventor 2012? Essentially, im looking to rotate a camera arround an assembly, make the enclosure glass and do it again.
Additionally, Is there a way to use animations already created in an ipt file (using the same model) in Inventor Studio?
I have a simplistic model (4 parts, 10 or so screws) that I am trying to render an animation through using Studio with the lowest possible output settings, my concern is that the render time is extraordinary long even for the most basic of assembly, why is this ? I have also tried the animate when in an IPN file which does improve render time but the quality is not very good.
I will now try using keyframe animation in Showcase to see if I can get an animation with good quality completed within the hour !
In ipn file, after I created sequence and wanted to add in some more components. When I edit the sequence, I cannot find the place to add the components.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI just installed IV 2011 and I am trying to record an animation in my .ipn file to a .wmv file. When I hit the record icon I give it a .wmv file name, hit save. Choose custom profile and set my bandwidth to (Custom) 500 and my pixel size to 1200 x 900 and hit OK. Then the animation dialogue box comes up and the record button is not depressed like it is supposed to be. I can record it with the default settings, but it looks horrible.

I've been working in Inventor Studio (Inventor 2011) & every time I exit & return to the assembly environment I receive an error message (refer attached). Plus if I don't move the animation timeline back to the beginning prior to exiting, my model will display in its finished position but on the timeline be at the beginning when I go back into Studio.
