Settings on the User Preferences Tab (Options Dialog Box) control whether fields are updated automatically or on demand (FIELDEVAL system variable). The Date field cannot be updated automatically regardless of the setting of FIELDEVAL.

View 1 Replies View RelatedCurrently in autocad we start the print/plot command and then the command line shows options for the drawing stamp. There are several options including for approval, approved for construction, test only and others. When the appropriate number associated with the correct drawing stamp it lets you pick an insertion point and inserts the drawing stamp with a current date under the stamp to show when the drawing was plotted. After the drawing stamp is inserted it returns to the print/plot dialog.
If any IV users have a similar drawing stamp with date that is put on their drawings, I would like to hear how it was accomplished.
I have played with a sketched symbol and with ilogic can insert the symbol and start the print/plot command but I do not know how to make the stamp selection in ilogic automatic with a parameter or iproperty.
If ilogic is the way to go with this or any other options to accomplish the drawing stamp insertions with current date.
In the attached file, I have a piece of MText with a series of fields, one of which the date and time updates each time you REGEN.
However, I cannot create a date and time field that updates during a REGEN.
In the attached file, you will see the one that updates (along with a screenshot of the field variables I used), as well as other examples where a date and time field will NOT update (along with a different screen shot)

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am working with VS4 since another video program I have has crashed and for some reason they cannot fix it. I'm stuck, with a number of videos to complete, and looking for an alternate program.
1)I've imported a .gif graphic into the time line. The other program allowed me to extend the duration of the .gifs to virtually any length by clicking on it, and dragging the right or left side to the duration desired. I want the them (I am adding a number of stills to the videos) to run 3-5 seconds depending on where it will be placed in the production. When I click the .gif in the timeline, it shows a duration of .01 second. How do I extend that?
2) When previewing a video in the preview window, there is a date and time stamp appearing in black on the video. Am I correct in assuming that this is the "watermark" created by the trial version, and this will disappear when I buy the program?
when using the dv to DVD wizard to create my movie i cannot figure why, when the wizard compiles and burns my movie(regardless what menu template i choose) ,the DVD menu always has the date the movie was created in bold letters imprinted on the left side of the screen.how can i disable this?

View 3 Replies View RelatedUpon uploading the pictures into the Lightroom 'library' none of them appeared to have the date stamp that they did in camera. After a few minutes, the date stamp for each started to appear. Seeing that they first loaded without the date stamp leads me to believe that I should be able to remove it easily. How can I do this without the hassle of cloning/cropping/editing. Is there a way to remove it from the metadata perhaps?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI created a dynamic block to represent a room in a floor plan. It displays the dimensions and area of the room and can be stretched. But it's defeating the whole point of being dynamic. The area won't update unless I do a regen.
I've seen comments blaming MTEXT for the problem, so I tried putting the area field in a line of TEXT or DTEXT. It still didn't update unless I did a regen.

Attached drawing file. What I am after is the ability to be able to stretch the length and/or width and update the two feilds depending on the new distance. At the moment each time I specify the distance parameter as the object it works then when you close and test the block it just shows #### as if that object no longer exsits.
The second problem is i am trying to be able to stretch the comms rack width and to update the door to the rack (the dashed part of the block) to the same length as the width of the rack. Ie atm the rack and door is 600mm and 600mm if the width was updated to 800mm the door will also scale to the same. I attached example in white just below the block.
Is it possible to add a 'variable' or label to our title block so that when we send a file to the printer, it will pickup the current time and date?
I know how to edit a label but I want this to happen automatically.

View 6 Replies View RelatedBasically, I want to get the sheet set to automatically label in my title block the TOTAL sheets of the sheetset. I have a field within each drawing for the current page number of the sheetset, that is an easy one, what is hard is how do I code the second field to display the LAST page of the sheetsets page number?
Example:
My text looks like this: Page 4 / 10. Say I have 10 sheets, all in the sheetset and numbered. What I have done in the past is set the first page number to Current Sheet Page Number, but in each sheet set the second part to the last page number, in this case sheet 10. The problem comes later if I add in a sheet or two, to push the total sheets to say 12, I would then have to go through each sheet individually to change that last page component to sheet 12 instead of 10.
Is there an easy way (and Im sure there is) to just set that last field to automatically reference the page number of the final sheet in the sheetset, no matter if it changes or not? How do you do it?

I just began messing around with linking excel and autocad (disappointed that you can't link to .xlsm but that will go on the wish list). I was wondering if there was already a post as to how to not lose your fields when you download from source. I have a table that has fields from my sheet set with drawing names etc...but everytime I click download from source it converts the field to plain text.
