AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Multiple Import Events
Dec 19, 2013I receive text files daily from our survey crew. Importing each point file daily creates multiple import events under the database. Is there a way to combine import events to make it easier when wanting to work with all points ?
I have combined multiple text files in the past then did the import, but I then would receive another file some where down the road that would needed added to the drawing.

Dec 2, 2013IT moved all of our projects to a new directory and have subsequently broken all the survey events. Is there a way to update survey events so they can find the original file again or does each event need to be redone to fix this?
e.g. I brought in a fbk located at p:/prj/6000 that file is now located in p:/6000.

I can't find any application or document events fired when printing like OnSaveDocument, OnQuit in the object browser.

AutoCAD .NET :: Can't Capture Key Events In Windows Form
Mar 15, 2012I have created a basic add-on that shows a modal windows form. The only issue I am running into is that I am completely unable to capture any key events in the form. I just want to make the escape key close my form, but I'm having no luck. Here is my basic setup:

I've also tried KeyUp and KeyDown. Key presses are working inside the form (I can use the keyboard to select an item in a combobox, for example), but I never hit the event handlers.

Dec 3, 2011I am trying to find out which Cell in a table is being / has been modified, in AutoCAD 2011 with C#.
I have subscribed to the Table's .Modified event, but when this is triggered by modifying some MText in a Cell, the Table's .HasSubSelection property is false and its .SubSelection property throws an exception. Conversely, modifying the MText in a Cell does not trigger the Table's .SubObjectModified event.
I noticed a class called Autodesk.AutoCAD.Internal.Reactors.TableSubSelectFilter which has a event called CellSelected, but how to instantiate such a class for the Table and subscribe to this event.
How Autodesk intends you to determine which Cell of a Table has been modified?

I have modified the macro for our internal naming conventions, but the basic functionality is the same. I would like it to load automatically whenever I am in Inventor and believe an Add-In is the way to go. Jun 21, 2012I wrote a small script in python to write dxf files out. I want to add this to a button on the ribbon. I got that sorted out and can get my button to appear where I want it. I am having trouble calling the script from the button though.
The API tells me that the button has an OnExecute() event that I should listen for to call my script. I have been searching on how to do that from python but I haven't had any luck.

1. Create the Select Events Object using the following steps.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Add-in Stops Getting Events In Windows 8 (Enterprise) When Running As Admin
Nov 27, 2013My add-in is working fine in Windows 7 with or without Run As Admin.
I have created my add-in using VS 2010 SP1.0.
Now, if I try to launch Inventor(w/o Run As Admin i.e just double click) 2014 SP1.0, in Windows 8, my add-in works fine.
If I launch Inventor with Run As Admin, My add-in stops receiving call backs from Inventor.

Dec 17, 2005I got my January/February issue of PhotoshopUser a few days ago and there's a great article on the new Events Manager in CS2. I haven't gotten a chance to play around with it yet (didnt know it existed before reading the article!). Has anyone used it much yet? it seems that it's better for people who work strictly in one medium like photography, rather than someone who used photoshop for a variety of things. just wondering what people have done with the new tool.

Dec 16, 2013I can create an Event in Photoshop Element's Organizer, but the Event does not show up in the Event tab. I can see a small tag on the video file that I put into the Event when I created it, but no such Event is listed in the Event tab.
This function used to work for me, but it suddently stopped.

Aug 19, 2013So I have an interactive piece with several shapes. There are about 5 rectangles, 3 horizontal and 2 vertical. For aesthetics and to fit them all in the space (stage), they overlap slightly. Whenever you mouseover a single rectangle it pushes the other rectangles away and a text bubble appears. When you mouseout, the text box goes away and the rectangles return to their original position. This worked without glitches when I applied it to the first rectangle. Now that I'm applying this to all of the other rectangles, I'm running into trouble. I'm thinking the trouble is with the overlapping portion. If you hover one rectangle where it overlaps another rectangle for a split second it plays the correct animation but then I think it tries to also play the animation for the other overlapping rectangle that appears underneath.
So my question is, what is the best way to remedy this problem? On mouseover can I temporaily disable mouse events for the other rectangles once one has been triggered? And then maybe re-enable them on mouseout? Is there a way for the rectangle that is visually on top to be the one that recieves the mouseover event?

I can turn on / off the backroung mask for all the style but not each.
Is there a way to turn on / off the backround mask of each layout text.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Label Text To Be Center Justified In Dragged State Stacked Text
Apr 11, 2013In the dragged state, I don't want to use 'As Composed' because the label is composed to be parallel to the line, but I want it to flip to horizontal to the view when dragged. This is working fine with 'Stacked Text'
What is not working is the text justification. I want it to remain centre justified, as it is composed. But there doesn't seem to be any option for this when you use the 'Stacked Text' option for the dragged state. I thought that setting the 'Leader Justification' to false might do it, but that just makes it always left justified. Am I missing something here? Is there no 'Top right/bottom right/middle center/top left.....' option for Stacked Text? And if not, why not?
I'm in 2011.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Dynamic Block With Text Inserted Into Drawing Show Text Orientation Matched To Layout
Apr 17, 2013Is it possible to have a dynamic block with text which, when inserted into a drawing, will show the text orientation matched to the layout? I have a non-dynamic block which is simply a donut and a piece of text. When I insert it into a drawing, the text orientation will change to suit the orientation of the layout. I created another block with the same entities but I also added a couple of lines extending out from the center of the donut. I added stretch and rotation actions in order to rotate and stretch the lines. I also gave the block visibility states so that either one or two lines would appear (the block is a utility pole,by the way, with the lines representing guy wires). When I insert the dynamic block into a drawing, I cannot get the text to match the orientation of the viewport. I've tried changing different combinations of settings but the text won't appear horizontal.
The two blocks I mentioned above are inserted into one file with a number of other blocks. When I check the properties of the non-dynamic block, the "match orientation" is set to YES. I cannot, however, change the "match to orientation" setting to YES on the dynamic block. Is this simply because it is a dynamic block or am I missing something? I don't create a lot of dynamic blocks and therefore I am not a wizard at it so I am assuming I am doing something wrong.

Apr 2, 2012Able to draw my lines but then unable to save dtext or mtext to them, only option is ESC or force quit. Using Autocad 2012 student license. got the 30 day trial for 2013, text not saving there either. Not using a layer. Deleting preferences did not work.

Apr 3, 2013I have used text mask for a long while and in the past month, when I use the text mask function, it erases my text completely. I am refering to the express tools command; not the background mask in Mtext. I have checked the display order.
The text mask settings are correct where as it is placing a wipeout. If I turn on the frames, I can move the wipeout and there is no text underneath.
I've done several audits and recovers but no luck. This happens with all my drawings now, not just one.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Set A Save Reminder
Oct 3, 2012Lisp program/macro or what ever is needed to be able to set a save reminder.
What i mean is, i want something to popup while i'm using autocad to remind me that i have not saved the drawing for a while. i know there is the autosave but that drives me crazy and quite ofter interrupts my train of thought/process and also more often then not causes autocad to chash/hang for rediculas amount of time. 12d model has such a thing as what i'm asking so i know that it is not impossible to do it.
So what i want is simply a dialog box to popup somewhere easily visible with a simple "ok" to save or "Cancel" not to save. It MUST NOT interrupt anything that i'm doing (like autosave does) it must just popup somewhere on the screen. And also have the ability to be able to set the reminder time.
