View 1 RepliesWhen I import photos using iPhoto or Aperture, I get an option to delete them off the camera when the import completes. That feature is really useful when there are deveral hynred photos in memory. How do I accomplish the same thing using Lightroom 4?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to import my photo collection (17000+) from iphoto to Elements organizer and am getting problems: The directory structure created becomes incredibly complex (many folders that include only 1 picture and many duplicates) and the worst of all is that many pictures get now as a date the new daten when they were imported. Is there a way to keep their original dates instead?
View 4 Replies View Relatedjust installed Photoshop Elements 11 on my Mac OS X. Everytime I try to import photos from iPhoto the import process will go through until it is almost finished, then a notification will pop up saying that the import failed. Once I click "OK" on that dialogue box a new box will pop up saying that a few (6) pictures were unable to be imported for various reasons, but that the rest of my pictures were imported. I am then unable to find any pictures anywhere in Photoshop Elements. I have tried to import photos 7 or 8 times with the same result everytime.

Am running iphoto 9.5 on macbook pro. Installed Elements 11 onto macbook and although I have sucessfully managed to import all my photos into the "organiser" all the carefully catergorised "Events"in iphoto have imported as just a selection of namesless files as oppossed to "Albums"
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am a new Mac user - recently insalled Photoshop elements 9 and tried to import my photos which are all in iPhoto at the moment into the organiser. I went via the 'Get files > import from iPhoto' menu and I keep getting a messsage tab saying 'no suitable media'.
I clicked the share in iPhoto and also tried via the getting files directly route (you only get the 'iPhoto library' that way not the individual files - any combo of clicking wont seem to let me see the files there).
I am just starting to use Photoshop Elements 12 Organizer. I do not want to import my entire iPhoto library however, so how can I import ONLY ONE or a select group of events or albums?

View 2 Replies View RelatedDespite the LR folder being connected to the right folder on my Drobo which contains all the photos
I am importing photos from an Aperture export (NEF file with XML side car). The folder contained 400 photos. 200 imported correctly and 200 were blank! I deleted the blank photos with a view to reimporting them. I also deleted the folder in LR and on my Drobo to ensure the photos would not be considered duplicates. I then reimported the photos the same way I have done the others only to end up with blanks once again but this time with question marks in the top right corner.
How do I import photos from iPhoto to Photoshop?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have moved from a PC using PS7 to edit and ACDSee to manage my photos. I am now on the latest iMac using CS6 to edit and Bridge to manage my photos. Many of my photos started out as scans by ScanCafe.
I can successfully load into Bridge an old photo file that started as a scan then was renamed by ACDSee ( and possible editied by PS7). i can also further edit the photo in CS6 and rename in Bridge. However, when I try to import the result into iPhoto (I want to use Faces) the file name is not properly picked up by iPhoto and called a Title. I can successfully import the original file (scan plus ACDSee rename) and iPhoto pickes up the Title from the file name.
When this doesn't work properly, I can slect the photo in iPhoto and click on Info but the Title field is blank on the top RHS of the screen. If I scroll over the blank title, a pop-up shows the correct Title. So there appears to be a disconnect as the file is passed between these software packages.
Can I import iPhoto library into Elements 10 and delete iPhoto library?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI can create an Event in Photoshop Element's Organizer, but the Event does not show up in the Event tab. I can see a small tag on the video file that I put into the Event when I created it, but no such Event is listed in the Event tab.
This function used to work for me, but it suddently stopped.
Would there be any difference in importing images from the latest iPhoto into the older version of LR2, then when I upgrade to the latest LR would there be any issues with those (iPhoto) images imported into LR2 into the newer LR?
View 4 Replies View Relatedif I choose PSE11 to be the photo editor in Aperture, the selected photo won't be opened in PSE11, PSE11 is started though. However, if I drag and drop from Aperture to PSE11 it works, but saving back to Aperture does not.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am able to edit a photo in Elements 12 but if it is a raw photo it opens in camera raw. On these .nef files, when I save them, (comand-S) it still brings up the save as box. If I click file-save, same thing. I can not get these particular pictures to save over to my aperture library, which is still in the iphoto library if that matters.
I do have PSE Preferences as Save over current file, always save, file extension use lower case, (save as to Original Folder is checked as well.) When I edit from a jpeg in aperture, it seems to work fine, it is just the .nef files which is what most of my files are.
In Aperture my preferences are External editor, Photoshop Elements 12, Tiff 8 (I have tried PSD as well) and Adobe RGB Color. It seems like this worked in Elements 11, but maybe I hadn't tried a raw file, so I am not sure. Also, is Tiff 8 the best or is PSD better. Do they both save as layers?

View 1 Replies View RelatedCannot find picture when transferring from Aperture to PSE 11...I have an older version of PSE and when I transferred a picture from Aperture to PSE9 it would open PSE9 and show the picture.
I set the Preps in Aperture for PSE 11 and the PSE 11 opens but no picture in the box or photo bin or in the top left "open".I changed the Aperture setting to the PSE Organizer and the same thing happened Organizer open BUT there was no picture to be found.
In Aperture it shows the file being transferred.I looked in the PSE 11 preps and file but could not find anything. The fact that it opens the PSE 11 app tells me it is being recognized but the picture (file) is going somewhere else.
I can't seem to get (my TRIAL Version) of Elements 12 to work properly as an external editor for Aperture.
Whilst I can import RAW or Jpeg images into the Elements 12 programme from my system files I can't export files from Aperture to Elements 12 from the Aperture workspace.
When using elements 12 as an external editor from aperture the elements opens but no photo appears. In elements 9 it worked fine. Do I have a set up issue?
It worked fine with elements 9 always worked well.
In all previous versions of Elements, if you set your editing in iPhoto preferences to Elements it would send the file to Elements and open in the Editor.. with this version when I do the same, it only opens the editor but no picture to edit..
