C3D 2013 crashed on me earlier today with the above error. I've submitted several Reports after the crashes. I've tried rebooting, repairing, re-installing, uninstalling and reinstalling with reboots in between. I have a presentation tomorrow and I need to fix my C3D drawings. When trying to start C3D, as soon as the splash screen is gone, I get the "FATAL ERROR: Out of memory - shutting down" AutoCAD Error Aborting error.
C3D 2012 still works and AutoCAD 2013 works, but of course I can't edit my C3D objects.
When you plot to pdf in Civil 3D, my problem is that I need to go through all the different folders to the folder that I wish the PDF to be saved, and when I PDF the next drawing, I need to go through all the folders again to find the same location folder in which to save the PDF.
There is surely a memory path that saves to last saved location, rather than having to go through the different folders and sub-folders each and every time.
Before my upgrade to 2013 from 2012, it would save in the last saved location, now it defaults back 'my documents' on my C' drive.
We have not upgraded our computers in 5 years. We did upgrade the OS to Windows 7, 64 Bit and are running C3D 2012. We are currently using Core 2 Duo E8400 3.00 GHz with 4 GB ram. I am recommending upgrading the ram to 8GB.
We have a test computer with 8 GB of ram that I ran some timed tests to determine how much of a performance increase we will get. I timed opening C3D, opening drawings, rebuilding surfaces, rebuilding corridors, editing corridors with grips and switching layouts. Based on those tests I have seen almost no improvement that I can show with timed tests.
Memory usage was 70%-75% while running the tests when with 4 GB of ram and 45%-50% with 8 GB ram. The drawings I opened were from one of our largest project. The surface drawing is 50 MB with about 15 MB of xrefs.
Am I testing the wrong functions? Are our projects too small to take advantage of the additional ram? Why are most system recommendations I see in the DGs for 12 GB of ram or more?
I am trying to increase the memory limit to my raster options and it wont let me change the size. I have plenty of available memory(mb) to use, but after i restart civil 3d and go back to the same options menu, its back to what it was..
I have problem with Civil3d 2010, when i open heavy drawing or 1 or more drawing will struck out of system memmory cannot continu the drawing , how can i fix, i already install update package 1 & 2 my system config.,and error shown on attached file. a
I downloaded the LT trial version with a new computer with Windows 7 Pro and LT keeps shutting down. If I close a file the whole program shuts down or sometimes it just randomly shuts down.
The automatic save option keeps shutting off on one person in our office. She says she is not doing anything weird but all of a sudden, when she checks her auto save settings, the check box is clear.
2012 LT about a year old, just recently started shutting off/closing unexpectedly during a drawing command (pline, copy, offset etc...) or when using numeric keys on keyboard. seems like everything else works ok. no error messages. nothing. just dissapears.
I am using corel x3 a long time but never, never had this kind of problem. When i work in corel enviorenment after i have finished my work i go to save my work. But then is the problem It Saves the file with Large Memory on it. let's say if the file normally would be 200 K, now it saves with 3 MB. And if i import some other files in my work then the saved file will be even bigger. If i Delete the files that were imported The Saved File will be Again the same SIZE ! Even if a take one part of the file, let's say if i import only one small text and put it in another file and save it like that, the saved file will be 2 MB. I had a lots of problems, i had saved files on this way with 23-24 MB and when i open them it takes like forever. When you look that file in corel it has nohing in it, absolutely nothing that should be 24 MB. But all of my important work is in that files how to make all things back to normal again,
I do have problem with my newly installed CorelDraw X5. Before X5 we used Corel 12 in our company.
I have project file (150 MB) with lots of text, bitmaps, vectors - about 100 pages. File opens but I can't save it. I always get OUT OF MEMORY error. I even tried to divide this file into 2 smaller parts but still doesn't work.
What I noticed - Corel X5 after clean start (without opened project) takes about 80MB of RAM in task manager. When I open project usage changes from 80MB to 1,2GB. While saving it takes 1,6GB of RAM and it crashes.
To compare - Corel 12 and after opening same project file Corel 12 takes much less of memory - about 770MB and it works without problem.
I cannot open more than one document at a time. Photoshop shuts down and sends an error message. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop, but it happened again.
last couple of documents I've been working on,I've been needing horizontal and vertical guides (no problem) but why is it when i close the file (saved all work) when I open the file to continue the guides have to be redone. Isn't there a save guides option in CS6
I have created a slide show in PSE 9, but whenever I try and preview it in full-screen mode I get an error that the program is experiencing a problem and it shuts down.
So I updated my OS to Maverick on my iMac. It looks cool, BUT I'm having some major issues with Lr. I try to create a new catalog, but it keeps on shutting the process down and exiting out of the new catalog screen.
Photoshop CS4 keeps shutting down when I try to execute the program. I have uninstall and re-install the program and still it shutdowns. It is running on Windows XP 32bit version. I get the following error message:
When I'm in the editor and trying to use one of the tools like quick fix, the edit shuts down and reverts back to the organizer screen as soon as I click on that tool. It does not happen all the time but quite often
I keep trying to open LR5 and it gives me an error message that says it encountered a problem with the preview cache and needs to shut down, and it will attempt to fix the problem next time I open LR 5. It keeps happening and won't allow me to open LR5 at all.
It will shutdown frequently or sometimes not at all while i'm using Lightroom 3.6. I have Windows 7, 64 bit system, 2.80 GHz, 8 GB Ram.
Lighroom Info indicates that real memory used by Lightroom is 1.7%, Virtual memory used is 116.5 MB.
Fan seems to be ok, my system does not indicate any over heating issues. I also use Photoshop and various other heavy programs with no issues or shutdowns.
Just installed coreldraw 12 on new pc. but when i import any jpg picture coreldraw shuts down. I can open an old file and work on it ok but still shuts down when I import or paste any jpg.
Last night I was working on a file when the power went out. My no break didn't work and I didn't have time to save and shut down my mac. When the power came back and I started my computer and InDesign, I tried to open the file I was working on and the above message displayed. I clicked 'back to finder' button on this message and the program crashes.
when I try to open an existing file or create a new one -- the application will shut down unexpectedly and without warning. But I also experience application errors: 'Instruction at "0x1a3c4b6b" referenced at memory "0x00000028" Memory could not be read.
I am using Win 7-32 bit version, with 4GB RAM, Auto CAD 2010.When I try to switch from " Model " to " Layout" , the command line shows" Regenerating", several times.
Sometimes AutoCad will ends in " No response" and be forced off.Additionally, when I put 5-6 drawings in one file and edit it, my Auto CAD appears to be stupid, the cross can not catch the objective point, then no response, then forced off.
