I have changed the color of some of the xref file layer in my drawing manually from the layer manager. Is there any way of getting the original color back without detaching and reattaching the xref's in a quick way?
View 3 RepliesThis is a command I frequently use. However, upon installation of 2010 Architecture, this right click option is usually greyed out, and doesn't allow me to use that command. Nothing different than how I normally use it.

My content browser doesn't have the original options it used to have, instead it has a customized version. But the customized version does not have anything in it. How do I get it back? No matter where I search in CAD or in my files I can't find the original. Do I have to uninstall and install the program again?

Traces of white appear around the text edges. Is there a way to remove the traces of the original background color that appear around text when I place a transparent GIF on a different background color assuming I don't have the original psd/png file only the transparent GIF?

Is there a way to revert back to the original colors of an xref besides having to reattach the xref and purging the DWG.
I always change the colors of the projects Existing site/utilty XREF to color 252 to shade it back to have the proposed show up darker. But I try to select all layers to change the colors back to what they were before and the box to set color by layer is not available.
Every time I create a new layer, name it, asign a color, linetype, etc...it defaults back to the original color, making me set it twice. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

No problem with that bit, i then want to make the black and white more intense, i realise this will be difficult with the black but i want the white to be, i don't know slightly more silver i suppose, more haunting......am i making sense, lol.
I would also like to keep some color from the original image, maybe have a tree with just a faint coloring from the original or a stream with just a hint of the original blue.
I don't know how to transfer the original color to the black and white copy, is it done with a mask?.
I am trying to match the color.

The third is my closest attempt to color correct: (Color Balance: Midtones- Red +10, Green +40, Blue +72, Shadows- Cyan -5, Green +8, Blue +13, Highlights- Cyan -4, Green +5, Blue +12), #3.
I am a mixed media artist/art teacher and I pay a local printer to adjust the colors of my work via Photoshop so that the final print matches the colors in my original artwork. I would like to learn to do this myself, but I have no clue which product I need to purchase or how to get started.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using version 5.5 in Windows 2000. I am confused because all other images in other programs etc appear normal whereas in photoshop 5.5 they have a greenish tinge. I corrected this on the original image by choosing View > Preview > Uncompensated RGB. However, if I try colour adjustment etc e.g. variations, all the preview images still have the green tinge. Does anyone know how to correct this?
Also Uncompensated RGB is supposed to be the default view, but when I close PS the setting is lost and on opening, all images including the original are back to green. What am I missing? I have other versions 5.5 and CS on other pcs with no problems.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using arch 2009, I have a bizarre issue with the rendering output soley based it seems on what version of Autocad the original drawing was created.
I have a block with 3d elements & materials, I insert it on any drawing which was created in release 14 which just about 100% of our drawings are (because you know, you take your old title blocks, convert then to the new version of Autocad, year after year after year, so the original title block was created way back when, just saved in the new format.) Anyhows, these are where the 3d blocks were created, newly in r2009, on on drawings originally created a long time ago. We just created new office title blocks from scratch in r2009 starting with the acad.dwt template.
When you insert any of these blocks, render it, the colors are different, too bright. here are all the specs for both drawings, one with the corect colors, one without. We have a ton of these blocks created over the last year or so which we render in Acad for the graphics guy to use for color elevations so its a pretty big deal if the color output is not reliable, it should be the same if all your settings are the same regardless of where the drawing file came from. I have missed something, and its probably something simple, it always is.
1. Same block with same material specs, verified on both drawings.
2. Zero lights, as per the lightlist on both drawings.
3. LINEARBRIGHTNESS - set to zero on both drawings.
4. LINEARCONTRAST- set to zero on both drawings.
5. DEFAULTLIGHTING - set to ONE on both drawings, viewport.
6. DEFAULTLIGHTINGTYPE - set to ONE on both drawings, viewport.
7. Render envirionment & render settting dialogue boxes, match line for line, verified.

A client wants me to add flooring zones to a few sets but I cannot get them to print in color. I assume I do this from my pen assignment but I cannot figure out what colors they are to change them.
I do my zones by using Home>"under build" space>from the properties I click Zone 0-15>polygon and then I trace the rooms. Then it fills the room with a preassigned color. How Can i figure out what colors they are using so I can edit my pen setting or is there an easier way to print zones in color and the rest in B&W?

In the wall-drawing i recently set the walls color to "by layer" via the display properties in style manager.
Unfortunately they keep their old color in the other files. I tried visretain and it didn't do the trick.
I have AutoCAD 2014, When I Try to Plot on HP LaserJet Pro CP1525nw Color Printer. The software crashes. It even doe not show the preview. I am using Windows 7. View 3 Replies View RelatedFrom my project manager > views, I select a view, it opens in model. I change to paper space and have my plan and an isometric view (in wire frame). I go to view and select shaded with edges. Perfect, colors on both plan and isometric are where I want them, now I want to print this.
I select my print icon and change my paper size select my printer. I select extents, center the plot and fit to paper. I preview.. And my color disappears. What.. Am I doing wrong. Should I be making my paper representations from a different start?
Yesterday.. I was trying to do the same thing.. But starting with the drawing in constructs. I end up with the same, my isometric drawing looses most of its color, the windows have color as does one layer (a line showing the outline of the floor under). The plan drawing has most of the colors but some of the layers are black where in the model they have color. To further complicate the problem.. The same procedure making a first floor drawing has the plan in complete color.
