Oct 29, 2012I downloaded importskp plugin and installed for Autocad2013, but could not load it.
I tried to restart Autocad, and also appautoload command but couldn't solve the problem.

I get a message when I open dwgs "**Express Tools** - Unable to load acetutil.arx"
In fact I can't load any .arx files.

Jun 13, 2012I have a large scan project (Scene 5.0's new file structure) that contains a few registered workspaces (*.fws) and I would like to import at least one into AutoCAD 2013. I followed the workflow of going to Insert>Point Cloud>Create Point Cloud, and I selected the *.fws that I wanted to import (or rather have indexed into a *.PCG).
As soon as I hit 'Create' I get an error that says 'FAILURE! Fail to open scan file" and nothing happens. I can import *.fls, but they are not registered.
Does FARO not support AutoCAD 2013?

Dec 26, 2012I'm trying to get my plug-in to successfully load its commands only if certain parameters are met like a prefix in the DWG file name. (I know I would have to use GETSYSTEMVARIABLE("DWGNAME") ) I haven't been able to implement a restriction successfully.
Also, is there a way to load a plug-in only within the scope of a document and not the entire AutoCAD executable?
This way, if the user has open document A and it's not a valid document of use of the plug-in, he won't be able to use the commands, but if he loads document B with a valid format (name prefix), the plug-ing will automatically load for the document B instance only. Is this possible?

Nov 3, 2013I downloaded/installed the PPA for Gimp 2.9.1. It worked great for the first half dozen 16-bit tiffs.I use a few RAW converters to create these tiff tiles, RawTherapee, UFRAW, and the Sony software supplied with my A700 DSLR, Image Data Converter running through Wine.
At any rate, most of the tiffs I create now cause Gimp to crash when opening new files. I get this message: Plug-in crashed: "file-tiff-load" and Opening '/home/caruso/Desktop/PHOTOS from IDC/DSC06219.tif' failed:
Files created previously continue to open as normal.
I was so thrilled to have succeeded in installing 2.9.1 on my system, but now may have to uninstall it and fall back to 2.8.x.I realize that 2.9.1 is experimental and unstable, but would like to know if this is something simple that can be fixed.

AutoCAD 2013 :: 2013 DEMO Won't Load On PC
May 10, 2012I have a fairly new DELL PC that meets all the minimum system requirements. I am running Window 7 and I can't get Autocad 2013 demo to run. It says install successful but when I try to run it it just hangs up and says "First run Initializing" and never loading. This is the first program that won't run I've ever had with this new computer.

Aug 25, 2011I have having difficulty getting any addins to load at the moment and am totally stumped as to what the problem is. I have even created a very simple addin from the (C#) template, compiled and registered it and it still will not load up. I get the addin to appear in the Inventor Add-ins dialog ok but it will not load for some reason. I have tried generating various .Net versions 2.0, 3.0 & 3.5 all produce the same result. I have also tried to debug the add-in by getting Visual Studio to launch Inventor but it does not even appear to be loading the add-in. I have dug out some work I did months ago and tried that but it does not work either. Is there a log in Inventor?
I am using C# in Visual Studio 2008 Pro & Inventor 2011.

May 1, 2012I have installed AutoCAD (Map 3D 2012) onto a users machine. When I run the software, I get a message box appear saying it cant load the profile...
I went into the registry and noticed that his registry is missing a lot of keys for Map 3D (attached)
I have attached a copy of my registry for comparison.
What would typically cause this? I have tried to delete the registry entry and let it re-configure, but i get all sorts of errors (Internal Error 2738).
I should probably mention that I am using a profile switch in the shortcut.
AutoCAD LT :: 2012 - Unable To Load Profile File?
Jan 15, 2013On starting autocad, before anything else appears an error box pops up saying "Unable to load Profile file, some profile information saved in the last session may not be restored". Click to accept the message and autocad starts normally with the exception that the ribbon doesn't show -at all. The user then switches to the classic workspace and back again and the ribbon will appear as expected.
The user, I believe, has local admin rights. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. My next step, is a last resort, which will involve uninstalling, then using some kinda registry cleaner to erase any trace of autocad on the laptop, then reinstalling - this is a bit severe, and will require the co-operation of my own IT dept, which can be like pulling teeth. I'm wondering if there's any other, less time consuming solution to this irritating problem?

I have two boxes here where something seems to create a acfusion.cuix, an aliasconcept.cuix and a acetmain.cuix. If I unload them and restart, I dont get the error but the have been created. Could a startup lisp be creating these? I havent done anything with lisp files. the target in the shortcut doesnt seem to be pointing to a lisp file.
We dont need these cuix files how can I stop them from being created on start up?

Jul 30, 2013I recently installed the SketchUp plugin in the hope that I would be able to easily and effectively transfer SketchUp models into AutoCAD and subsequently into Revit.
However, upon importing the SketchUp model, extra wireframe is added to the flat surfaces from vertex to vertex. This does not affect the CAD model as such as it appears that these lines are necessary for CAD to create the surfaces.
Though when imported into Revit from CAD, these surfaces are unable to be processed and the model becomes incomplete, also failing to identify the windows and doors that had been previously identified as the model had been taken from Revit, through CAD and to SketchUp with no problems and then all the way back again.
What is the next step of importing it back to Revit as I am unsure how to retain its levels (i.e Floor plans).

Lightroom :: 4 Flickr Plugin Error - Unable To Upload?
Aug 18, 2012I added a new tag to a large batch of photos which then needed to be re-upoaded. It was taking a very long time and about halfway through, I got an error. I started the Publish funtion again and all was fine, but then again with a handful of photos left, I got the error. This time the Publish function didn't move anything and I just got the error. Even after removing the new tag from the remaining photos, I am unable to use the plugin to upload any new photos to my flickr account. I use the flickr library within LR as part of my organization strategy and really don't want to use any other uploader.
The error message in question: Flickr API returned an error message (function flickr.photos.setMeta, message Bad URL found)

Feb 10, 2012Have developed a problem trying to load some TIF images into Photoshop. I have a large number of images archived over a decade or more. At this point it may some of the older files that exhibit the problem.
Now all these files were edited and stored using the Photoshop versions during the complete time period. The files are always saved with no compression. Have tried to load from Photoshop and clicking on the file in a file list. Photoshop just hangs and I get the message Program not responding. I can take these same files and load them into the ROXIO photo editor with no problem. Stranger yet is if I simply load the file into the ROXIO editor then "save as" back into the same folder (overwrite) the file can then be brought into Photoshop with no problem!
