I have an addin that needs to load when the autocad loads or when user type the command. It works fine with autocad 2012 but does not work with 2013. The addin dll is located in %appdata%autodeskApplicationPlugins. If I use Netload command to load the dll in 2013 and it works fine. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have having difficulty getting any addins to load at the moment and am totally stumped as to what the problem is. I have even created a very simple addin from the (C#) template, compiled and registered it and it still will not load up. I get the addin to appear in the Inventor Add-ins dialog ok but it will not load for some reason. I have tried generating various .Net versions 2.0, 3.0 & 3.5 all produce the same result. I have also tried to debug the add-in by getting Visual Studio to launch Inventor but it does not even appear to be loading the add-in. I have dug out some work I did months ago and tried that but it does not work either. Is there a log in Inventor?

View 3 Replies View RelatedAlong with giving me a failure after closing telling me to send my dmp file to Corel, but Corel not showing me anyway to do this, my newest error is the best one yet. The program opens with a little window saying "Load from Stream Error" and an OK button. The OK button does nothing. Nothing else can be used. The computer is totally locked up with this wonderful piece of unfinished program in place. My only recourse is to power the computer off manually to restart it. starting VS"pro"4U just locks it down again. Is there a way to clear this without following Corels instructions for every problem. That being to remove and reload the program. The next time I remove it will be to throw it and it's boxed installation disk in the trash can, then go out and buy something a bit more reliable. Like Adobe's little girl Premier, or Sony's video editing program.
This looks so nice, if it just worked. I have quite a few hours into a video and just wanted to add a new title when this started.
I have photoshop 9.0 and it has been working great but now I cannot load - it starts and then stops before completing the load. It did this last week and then after using spybot it seemed to work but now refuses again. Why is this happening? I have loads of memory.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have an addin which has an icon for a button. In Inventor 2012 it displays fine. In Inventor 2013 the icon appears to be enlarged by about 4x, and only the top left corner of the icon is visible. The api clearly states that Inventor will scale the image to size.
This is the C# code I'm using to load the icon. The icon is in my resources file.

The icon dispayed on the ribbon for my addin seems to be the large (32x32) icon and i'm not sure how to fix that.
In IV2012 it was fine and i can't find anything in the programming that suggests anything was changed.

I was getting this error on one of my users machines, inventor 2013 vault add in could not find the data management services
I uninstall Vault workgroup 2013, Inventor 2013, re install, and re install add ins, worked for half a day, and just got the same error again,
it seems As Inventor looses the add in, what was intersiting it gave an error about some unerlaying error after disgarding that, the add in doesnt work anymore.
I also cant copy design from vault on the same machine, all Inventor related files cant be copied, but dwg files can.
I get the feeling its an Inventor issue, my last resort is a clean install.
I have a fairly new DELL PC that meets all the minimum system requirements. I am running Window 7 and I can't get Autocad 2013 demo to run. It says install successful but when I try to run it it just hangs up and says "First run Initializing" and never loading. This is the first program that won't run I've ever had with this new computer.

I just down loaded the new autocad 2014 yesterday and I have no ribbon. If I go to tools - palettes - ribbon, an area where the ribbon should be opens up with the message "the ribbon does not have any tabs or panels currently loaded".
How do I load the tabs and panels?

Why is it, when I restore a layer state to a blank drawing, it cannot load the linetypes saved to those layers? I get an error that says Linetypes not loaded and then wind up with a full set of layers all with CONTINUOUS linetype.
If I bring in a block from a toolpalette that has a new linetype and layer, it will create them for me just by inserting the block. Am I missing something??
I have a large scan project (Scene 5.0's new file structure) that contains a few registered workspaces (*.fws) and I would like to import at least one into AutoCAD 2013. I followed the workflow of going to Insert>Point Cloud>Create Point Cloud, and I selected the *.fws that I wanted to import (or rather have indexed into a *.PCG).
As soon as I hit 'Create' I get an error that says 'FAILURE! Fail to open scan file" and nothing happens. I can import *.fls, but they are not registered.

At home I have 3ds Max 2013 and at my class I am currently taking, they have 3ds Max 2012. When I tried to upload my 3ds Max 2013 file using 2012 I got; "File Load Failure (*file path*).
I now understand that I can save the file as a 2012 (from the 2013 version) but is there anyway to convert the file while at the class? I will not have access to my 2013 file for a while, and this file is homework..

Below is a link to a github repo that has a code example showing how to embed an IronPython engine inside a C# addin. It is the same as the "Simple AddIn" that comes with the SDK, only with the logic part of the addin factored out into IronPython. I could never find anything on using IronPython with Inventor so I'm posting this for any others that might be interested.
The main reason for doing this is to speed up development time. Edits related to the python code do not require the cycle of shutting down Inventor, compiling, restarting etc. More detail is in the readme. URL....
