I just loaded AutoCAD 2013 and have loaded Express tools but can't access the tools.
I get a message when I open dwgs "**Express Tools** - Unable to load acetutil.arx"
In fact I can't load any .arx files.
I have problem with my Autocad 2011,It always showing a message "unable to load acetauto.isp/fasload failed"

AutoCAD say invalid command, there was something on the website that said to type express tools at the command prompt, but when I do that, too it says invalid command.
View 5 Replies View Relatedi had my enterprise CUI working fine, and then one day it blew up and now everyone gets an error that autocad is trying to load acetmain.cui but it's already loaded. do i need to load acetmain.cui as a partial cui? i figured that i did, but then why does acad try to load it twice?
so i have the enterprise cui loading the acetmain as a partial. when the users log in, the enterprise cui is in loaded AS their enterprise cui in the Support Paths but then they load their own custom cui as the Main cui on their individual workstations. THIS cui ALSO is loading the acetmain. i think that's where the conflict is.
if that's the case, should i just give out instructions on how to remove the acetmain from their personal "custom" cui? it seems that if i take acetmain out of the enterprise cui, that the entire menu disappears from teh individual workstations.
How to get the 'Shape to Block' command to work (under express tools).
It says select object, but no matter what object I select eg. circle, pline or line, it says invalid selection. I am running AutoCAD 2012. Are 'shape' objects somehow different from any other objects?
I installed express tools with ACADE abd ACAD, some of them don't work, example:
_.sysvdlg Unknown command "SYSVDLG". Press F1 for help.
other commands missing:
arctextx, txt2mtxt,mocoro,dimex,dimin,qlattach
I am using AutoCad Civil 3D 2012, with windows XP, and when I type "extrim" at the command line, I get this:
Command: extrim
"bad argument type: listp #<SUBR @2f9669b0 BONUS_ERROR>"
There are also a few other express tools that when picked from the ribbon menu, do not work either. Now, I have seen elsewhere on the web that in this case, you should make sure there are no search paths set to R14 Bonus tools (which mine aren't), or repair and update express tools from add/remove programs in the control panel. I did this, and the only thing that happened was the numbers after SUBR@ changed.
When I search on Express Tools in the Help section I am told to type EXPRESS TOOLS int the Command Line. That produces the error msg. no such command.

View 9 Replies View RelatedInitially we got an error message stating: "error: no function definition: VLAX-USER-PRODUCT-KEY".We did some trouble shooting ourselves with information obtained via several web searches, involving the following:
1) Adding .fas files from the Express directory to the appload.
2) Reloading the acetmain.cuix via menuload (had to unload it first, since it was apparently already loaded)
3) Removing and re-adding Express Tools via Programs & Features (Add/Remove programs)
4) Reinstalling AutoCAD 2014
5) Running (vl-load-com) from the command line (no effect)
6) Running expressmenu and expresstools from the commandline (says it's successful).
then we are now getting "error: no function definition: VLAX-MACHINE-PRODUCT-KEY"..The registry keys appear to be OK, and I am seriously at the end of my tether. I have pretty much tried everything I could find to no avail.

I have loaded the Express Tools as here [URL] .... says. The Express Tools appear in my menu bar like normal, but when i try to do anything with any of them —FLATTEN, for instance— autocad does not recognize any.

finally I got my express tools ribbon but a lot of commands are missing....REDIR for example....
Don't tell me to reinstall AutoCAD Architcture because I already did it twice!
Don't tell my to select the acetmain.cuix by CUILOAD...because..
I also tried the menuload and the appload command but won't load every single lisp routine
from the express folder...can you imagine how many lisp routines the Express Folder has....
AutoCAD Architecture hasn't got such problems with Express Tools.....

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a large scan project (Scene 5.0's new file structure) that contains a few registered workspaces (*.fws) and I would like to import at least one into AutoCAD 2013. I followed the workflow of going to Insert>Point Cloud>Create Point Cloud, and I selected the *.fws that I wanted to import (or rather have indexed into a *.PCG).
As soon as I hit 'Create' I get an error that says 'FAILURE! Fail to open scan file" and nothing happens. I can import *.fls, but they are not registered.
Does FARO not support AutoCAD 2013?
My question is: Why certin AutoCad files, I'm not able to draw lines?
I'm in model space. I can move objects. I can even erase/delete things. But I'm tring to edit this shop drawing, i need to add some details, so i need to draw some lines. I use the "l" command. Select my 1st point, then 2nd point. It doesn't work? The Command line keeps saying: Specify next point or [Close/Undo]. But no lines are getting drawn. i finally have to hit escape to end the line command but no lines have gotten drawn. its the same thing if i draw a square or circle. (Not sure if you need to know this but these are my companies files created by a former employee of my company using our own AutoCad. So, i would think if he's locked this file somehow, i should be able to unlock it.)

View 4 Replies View RelatedAll my plain AutoCAD seats are running their Express Tools correctly but the AutoCAD that comes with Inventor will not.I have ET partial loaded in my custom menu, just like the plain seats, and it shows up in the pull-down menu and the ribbon but when i pick on any of the tools, it says "Unknown command."

I want to change the text in my dimension. I don't actually want to change my the actual dimension, just the text. Is it possible? I want to create drawings that aren't to scale, and put in the dimensions that I want on there.
