AutoCAD 2013 :: Structural Detailing Main Icon On Ribbon Doesn't Exist?
Oct 18, 2013
i have aprblem with the main icons of the ribbon, i install the program and it works correctly Suddenly the user interface converts to the normal autocad i tried to restore the ACAD.CUIX and doesn't work.
i have Win8, the version i have of the program is 2014 and the problem also happen on autocad architecture.
Just installed inventor 2013 and the icon to launch vault is missing from the ribbon where it used to be in v 2012. Also when i try to open a file the quick link to vault is not there. i have installed vault basic 2013 and it opens up fine and my files are in it. Do i have to create a link?
Recently I have purchased the above software to be installed on a 32 bit PC. However, the USB installation that came is 64 bit and the free trial on Autodesk website, although it offers the 32 bit, is also 64 bit.
It seems that the 32 bit version does not exist. Is there a way around this? I was hoping to download the 32 bit trial version and using the serial number and product key of the 64 bit.
I have a problem with exporting layers from dwg to pdf. Problem is that i can export (or print) drawing but i missing some layers in layer manager in pdf. I have drawing with 150 layers (from other co-workers) but only mine 4 layers doesn't appear. I have check in ACAD in layer prop manager if they are plottable but this is not a problem for content from those 4 layers are exported in pdf but not in layers they have to be (those layers are missing)!
I use ACAD 2012
edit: i found out that layers doesn't appear because contetnt on them are only blocks. for eg. block is on layer 1 but contetnt of block is on layer 2 so i see only layer 2 in pdf but not layer 1
When I try to create a new font style using the standard Autodesk Swiss fonts, I get the message "font file doesn't exist". I can see that the fonts are in the AutoCAD fonts folder and that I have a file path set to that folder.
I have created existing and proposed surfaces in Civil 3D 2008 and I'm trying to create a volume surface to produce a cut & fill map. The problem I'm running into is everything I try to follow mentions choosing Elevation Banding (2D) as the style. The only style I have to choose from is Standard. Does the Elevation Banding (2D) style normally come with the program? Or is this something you have to create?
I believe a dwg I am trying to access is affected by the acad.vlx virus as an alert comes up to check autodesk for solution (ID: TS13717811) however the published solution doesn't seem to work for the latest version of AutoCAD LT 2012 as it asks me to access a file in the support folder which doesn't exist on my system.
I've just been messing about with the ribbon in Civil 3D 2013 and managed to create my own tab and add a panel with 3 rows. In one of them i have added the command BATTMAN. I've obviously added an icon and used button style 'Large with Text (Vertical)'.
I've noticed that on other buttons with longish names under them have wrapped text. How do i achieve this so say 'Block Attribute Manager' text would appear stacked under the button?
I've got a problem with a vertex on my model. When I go into the skin modifier or edit poly, this one vertex doesn't seem to exist. It doesn't show up and I cannot move it, yet in the skin modifier it is being affected by something. How can I get this vertex to reappear without completely borking my model's skinning?
I'm working on a Ribbon and Icon design for our software and I'm having some issues getting my icons to appear the same way they do in AutoCAD. When I hover over an icon on my custom Ribbon there is a white box around the icon (see Ribbon.jpg), but when I hover over an AutoCAD icon the white box does not appear (see Ribbonii.jpg).
Is it possible to have a custom grayed out icon in the ribbon when this icon has been used at least once? For example, the user clicks on this icon and it becomes gray to notify the user it has been used. The purpose is to load certain DLL with Netload only once.
How do I get to the settings that control what does and does not show in any given discipline - we need to update the Structural Discipline to show the non-structural walls, and non-structural portions of other walls as halftone.
when I tried downloading and installing this INCREMENT app from the Exchange Store. First, I can't get this to run at all. If I go into the CUI settings dialogue, I don't see this plug-in listed anywhere where it should appear. It had occurred to me that maybe the only way this app works is from the plug-in tab and not from the command line, but I'm not sure that makes any sense, either seems it should work either way, if I'm interpreting the documentation correctly. But, I cannot make my ribbon tab appear to check out my probably mistaken theory (see above). Navigating around the CUI dialogue and checking the settings for my tab, I see that it is set to "show" and there is every indication that it should appear, but there seems to be something buggy or suspicious going on with the
Control-0 (clean screen) toggle and/or the Control-9 (command line) toggle as well?I don't see how either of these would have any affect on the visibility of my tab, if they were toggled to the correct setting. I am the only person using this workstation so it's not like there is a profile issue at work here.
Acad 2013 32bit on XP Pro...I use the Ribbon as a palette.I'm creating a Dynamic Block with 3 visibility states (Plan, Front, Side). When I try to change from one visibility state to another using the Ribbon pull-down it keeps reverting back to the previous view.
To make it stick I have to use the visibility state dialogue box.
I need to create a section of a 3d model. Unfortuntaly the layout tab I need is missing. Normally if somthing is missing I type 'CUI' and then click Ribbon>Tabs> select the one I want and drag it to 'Workspaces Contents' - 'Ribbon Tabs'
The ribbon tab for layout is missing from the cui. See attached images.
