May 20, 2012I heard a rumor that there was a snowboarding plugin for CS3 but I couldn't find it; I asume it was just a template of a snowboard which I could probably do myself, but if there was a plugin for CS6?

Jul 6, 2012I am wondering why RPC content in Revit Architecture 2013 is not exporting, or linking when I open up the project in 3Ds Max Desing 2013. I have tried FBX, and linking that, as well as linking an .RVT file, =either "imported" the RPC objects.
Why doesn't 3Ds Max Design support these objects and is there any way to get them into 3Ds Max.

Feb 4, 2013I still can´t import inventor materials to MaxDesign 2013.
Using STEP or DWG files accomplishes this but due to the fact that i use multi body objects the imported geometry is grouped in an awkward manner (multiple occurences of an object are grouped and i can´t ungroup them).
How to export right?
The issue is quite pressing and my posts in the AREA have not been answered yet. Is it an Inventor or a Max issue?

AutoCAD 2013 :: Tool Palettes And Design Centers
Nov 28, 2012At my previous place of employment I used ACAD 2010 and ACAD 2011 Design Suites. One of the programs had tool palettes and/or design centers that enabled me to build my structures choosing blocks of wall types, windows, casework and doors, trees via a palette all in 3d and 2d form. I was able to change my views all around the 3d model and walk thru it with a camera. I did several homes using this program. I don't know what the difference is but ACAD 2013 does not appear to have it.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Missing Design View Representation From 2013
Jan 8, 2013My company have recently upgraded from Inventor 2010 to Inventor 2013, on the whole I like it a lot better but there is one feature I can't find or Autodesk have removed. I have attached an image of what I mean if I haven't explained it very well but on the browser bar there used to be a drop down 'design view representation' that you could change back to 'master' quickly. I found this very useful as I often use the 'visible' tool to hide parts then want to unhide them all at once. Is there another way of doing what I want or does this tool exist hidden away somewhere else?

May 20, 2012Imagine a fresh machine and a fresh Infrastructure design suite 2013 install...sound sweet? It was for all of 3 or 4 minutes.Wonder what causes this squeaky clean system and install to freeze up completely, requiring nothing less than a reboot.
It happens every time I select any pulldowns in the quick access toolbar located at the very top of the screen above the ribbons.cause I need to give that "party crasher" the boot.
AutoCAD 2013 :: Quickpen Pipe Designer For Piping Design
Aug 28, 2012Recently we upgraded to Autocad 2013. We are using Quickpen Pipe Designer over autocad for piping design.We are experiencing, with some drawings, long opening/saving/closing/xrefing delays.
For example, for a 12Mb drawing it took 5minutes for a Save AS, with no exrefs in the drawing, Close with save took 5minutes, to attach and xref took 5 minutes (2minutes to show the attach dialog and 3minutes after).
Quickpen is saying that is because autocad, but we haven’t seen such delay opening regular autocad drawings (drawings without quickpen entities).
We have some other issues with Quickpen, fittings disappearing from the drawing, trying to bring them back, and using regen and zoom extends will change the view to a odd 3d view or mirror the drawing to an odd angle.
Are there any 3d settings to make the drawing be faster?
AutoCAD Inventor :: 2013 - Mold Design / Create Failed
Sep 25, 2012Starting a new Mold Design. When I try to place my part, I get an error message that says... "Errors occurred during create. Plastic part: Create Failed."
How do I determine what the problem is with my part I'm trying to bring in? This was a part that was brought in from a .step file, then saved it as a .ipt. No problems that I can see with the .ipt, but Inventor Mold does not like it for some reason.

Then uninstall and tried to roll it out with sccm: The installation works but there is no shortcut for Autodesk Design Review 2013. Not on the desktop, not on the startmenu Why?

Jun 24, 2013We have just recently install Building Design Suite Standard 2014 and the tool palettes DO NOT work.
Clicking on the standard palettes that load with ACAD will not even work. We have also tried to make new ones and the will not MAKE (for lack of words).
Here is the Autocad warning it gives us:
Unable to execute the tool. Possible causes are:
-The tool is not registered properly. Please check your installation.
-the tool is from another application and is incompatible with the current application.
We are running a new copy and it IS registered.

We currently have almost 8,000 files that all use different dimension styles, leader styles, layers and layouts. (All before I got here) I have successfully used the design center to where we can open an old drawing then go through and add all of the new 'standard styles, layouts, and layers'
can I write a script that will add all of these at once. It is not that it is that terrible of a job to do, but like I said my thought is it will be a good way to learn more about scripts, and we have a lot of drawings this needs to happen with.
AutoCad 3D :: Transforming Canoe 2D Design To 3D
Jul 22, 2012I have a 2D canoe design which is composed of an elliptical base and two sides. I've drawn the base and side exactly as per the design in Autocad. I've then extruded them to the 5mm as required by the design. I'd like to understand how to 'bend' the side panel so as to attach it in 3D to the base but I haven't a clue as to how to go about it.
Attached are jpgs of the plan and NW views of the base and side together with the .dwg itself.
