I just came across this problem in this version of Autocad 2013. I am trying to print my company logo into a PDF from autocad 2013 and it does but when i go open the PDF file it has lines all over it nothing is solid like the dwg file. i done this in all other versions of Autocad and it printed find to PDF and everythig was solid with no lines all over the PDF.
acad 2014 will not plot as a pdf. it will plot to the HP plotter with no trouble. but cancels out the pdf. get error message no "startdocprinter" mesage.
So if I am in a layout page and I plot the sheet directly to our printer the drawing comes out to scale. However if I plot to PDF using DWG to PDF.pc3, and then print to printer it is always slightly smaller around 10% to 15% smaller.
im having a hard time with the text when printing. it somehow prints texts that looks like it is outlined. i have copied and pasted texts from other documents into this document and it still does not work. i also have tried copying this specific text into other documents and that drawing prints out fine.
Why when I print 8.5x11 to PNG at 300dpi (paper size 2550x3300) the actual image dim’s are 34.38”x26.56”? If I print with the paper size at 612x792 (72dpi) the image will be 8.5x11 but look like poop.
how can I print 8.5x11 to PNG at 300dpi and the image dim's be 8.5x11?
My Autocad 2014 crashes EVERYTIME after printing to PDF. What could be causing this problem? Never had this problem with my older 2012 on the same computer.
Deformation occurring when printing with different scales,
It is gorgeous that one can preserve the text size, hatch size, dimension size, etc. regardless the scale the drawing is going to be printed with.
For example, if the text size, hatch size, dimension size, etc. are proper as the drawing is printed with a scale of 1:100 then how about printing this drawing with a scale of 1/50 and 1/200?
A scale of 1:50 looks fine (attached) A scale of 1:200 has some overlaps! (attached)
Then how to get a nice drawing (dimension size, text size, hatch size) when printing the drawing with a scale of 1/200? In other words, how the annotation objects can be adjusted proportionally such that no overlaps and distortion is occurred?
Whenever I plot this perticular dwg to a pdf, the pdf comes out perfectly fine. But when I go to print the pdf... the titleblock and some hatches don't show up. All the hatches are on the same layer and the titleblock is xrefed in the same as all the other sheets in the set, which all are fine as well.
I'm trying to print a certain window of my drawing, but I'm not wanting to print every element contained within that window. How do I hide these elements when they're on the same layer as other elements that I want to print?
I am having a problem with all of my lines showing up on my prints when printing a 3D model. When I do a print preview, all of my lines show up but when I print to an actual sheet of paper or to PDF, the lines do not show up.
I have successfully printed a dwg to a pdf but instead of its file size being 450k it is 1.4 m. This makes sending pdfs via email too cumbersome. It seems that even though the outcome is B&W somewhere along the line "it" thinks it is Color. I noticed that in Page Setup I no longer have the option of "DWG to PDF.pc3".
I have an HP workstation Z220 with OS Windows 7 64 bit. I have installed my printer HP Laserjet Pro CM1415nf using the original CD Drivers and have also installed AutoCAD Architecture 2011 and 2013.
When trying to print from both AutoCAD versions to the printer, the application crashes and I need to close the program. When I try to print to a different printer everything is ok. I have checked for updated drivers of the printer and downloaded from HP site by the problem is still there.
when printing in view ports, wipeouts don't show. wipeouts are transparent.
ive tried copying the same wipeout lineweights and pasting it in new documents but have no problems there. i've tried re saving under a brand new document but still no luck. apparently it's only happening in the same 2 documents.
When printing to our Xerox work center 35, I choose 11x17, extents, fit to paper, landscape. The preview shows the entire template page just as i want it. The printout has the left side of template shifted over to the right approx 5.5 inches. It is as if i changed the plot offset 5.5 inches.
I cannot get my program to print to any of our network printers. I am using Autocad 2013 LT with FusionWare and Windows 7 on a Macpro OSX Lion. This started being a problem a few weeks ago and the only way I can get anything printed is to make a pdf and and then print the pdf from Acrobat.
Today I brought in a HP 940c printer from home and connected it to my desktop printer. I spent an hour uninstalling and installing the drivers. I can now print from Acrobat on both the PC and Mac sides of the computer, but when I try it from Autocad I get Error_Printing in the HP printer window. No info as to what the error might be. I tried this several times, tried renaming the file with a shorter name but since the driver puts in the entire path that was a futile gesture.
So I have confirmed that the printer is functioning correctly, just not with Autocad. I realize that i do have a working workaround but it is tedius and unnecessay to keep making all those pdfs.
AutoCAD LT 2013 (Windows 7 Professional 64bit - SP1) prints fine to other printers and prints Letter size without problem. But, if you change the paper size to Legal AutoCAD crashes with the following error:
I'm able to print pasted excel table with default colors ( ie: cell with text and fill with color background in autocad. By using Autocad 2013, with I can see the default colors when preview, but once I printed out to hard copy or PDF format, its only printed text but without any color background, I have try to print the pdf file by using DWG To PDF.pc3, Adobe PDF & CutePDF Writer, HP Design Jet T1120 plotter, all have the same result.
we get rasterized diagonal lines when printing from AutoCAD on that Printer in A0 format, straight lines are ok.
Printing FIRST to an PDF printer an THEN to the T520 ist also ok (this is what the customer currently does and the quality is good). Got some suggestions from a local ACAD dealer (max. details in the printer driver) but no success ...
I have this heavy issue, i can't send to back a line, an object or a hatch under other lines. In 2012 i used this feature a lot but in 2013 it's not working very much, maybe 1 time out of 10 and i absolutely can't say why.
HPDRAWORDER = 1 seems to work with a new hatch.. but i can't redraw everything.
Let's say i put an entire floor plan into block then draw over it. (I don't want to start a Xref discussion please) i can't send the entire bloc to the back.I used to do that with 2012, 2008, 2007.. but it's 2013 it's not working, is there a way to correct that?
The Autocad 2013 x86 or x64 is not installed on Windows 8 Consumer Preview because programs can not read .NET Framework versions 2 and 4 which are integral parts of the OS.
I have 2013 inventor/mechinical a cad did not have enought memory on c: drive added another hard drive E: need to move my files to the e drive. single seat all on this computer.
Trying to change the color of a layer in a viewport (different than the default layer color (i.e. model layer color)). Objects are set to bylayer. Changing the VP color in the layer dialog brings up the color dialog, select a different color, click OK and the VP Color DOESN"T change in the layer dialog. It stays at its previous color. Occurs on several machines.
I recently added 2 monitors to my set up to bring my total to 3. I am trying to figure out the best way to work on one drawing, with 2 differant veiws on each of the 2 main screens.
I would like my main screen to have the plan view and the second monitor to have an isometric veiw (or whatever I need at the time) of the same drawing. Is there a way to have the same drawing opened up in another window, in one session of Autocad 2013. One on the main screen and one on the secondary.
I have a Windows 7 machine running AutoCAD 2013. When trying to open any drawings from our AutoDesk Vault 2013 server, AutoCAD will hard lock/freeze and can only be closed by using Windows Task Manager. When accessing the same files through the Vault first, without opening AutoCAD, they open with no issues.
I’ve just worked on a series of clients drawing using AutoCad 2009. They are using AutoCad 2013. out of 20 or so drawings several drawings when opening with 2013 open up with Errors requesting recovery is required due to any number of errors ranging from 3 to 7 on average. The error message asks [yes] to recover and it aborts or [no] to continue and the drawing opens ok without further error. If I recover the drawings, and save-as 2013 or other, the same errors appear regardless. However if I open the same drawings using my version of 2009, I didn’t get any errors. The original drawings were compatible with 2009 without conversion.
