Jan 17, 2013I'm able to print pasted excel table with default colors ( ie: cell with text and fill with color background in autocad. By using Autocad 2013, with I can see the default colors when preview, but once I printed out to hard copy or PDF format, its only printed text but without any color background, I have try to print the pdf file by using DWG To PDF.pc3, Adobe PDF & CutePDF Writer, HP Design Jet T1120 plotter, all have the same result.

Nov 11, 2012I have a drawing that has a white background.
I would like to add more to the white background to make it bigger without having to stretch it and distort the image.
I want to place a circle shaped outline border around the original image with a set border thickness and color and be able to crop/remove the portion of the image beyond the outline, changing it from a square/rectangle image to a circular image.
If I am not able to change the drawing to have a round outer border from square, how can I make the outer parts past the newly created circular outline transparent?

Photoshop :: Stupid Border When Printing
Sep 1, 2003Ok when i try to print from photoshop onto a full sheet of paper it puts this huge white boarder around the image to where it doesn't use the whole sheet of paper. Anyone know how to get this border off or at least make it considerably smaller?

Approach #1: The first approach could be zoom extent and draw a border around the zoomed view. how to zoom extent and draw a polyline, but can't figure out the exact size of zoomed view.
Approach #2 (optimal) : If the entity is a right circle and my AutoCAD window is not in square shape (for example, the AutoCAD window is maximized and my monitor is wide-screen monitor), Approach #1 will create redundant spaces at the right and left side of the circle entity. So if I could get the grid coordinate of far left, far right, top, and bottom entities, I can draw the optimal border around all entities in the drawing.

I have created a drawing border using Inventor, which is the template for any drawings I produce. I often export the Inventor drawings into AutoCAD 2007 dwg's to send to customers. However, it seems all the text goes up the creek after the export...
When I open the exported AutoCAD drawing, first I explode the drawing border. Then, if I scale the border from within AutoCAD, none of the text wants to scale up. - I've attached the border. I've tried several different ways to fix it using text styles, heights (setting to 0) etc and still no luck!
How to fix the text scaling?!

Nov 13, 2013What is the proper syntax for removing a bmp file inserted into a drawing border defintiion? I am using VB.net.
I got all the way into editing the sketch of my border defintion...
I know the name of the sketch image I want to delete it's something like "C:Temp12345678.bmp"
So I wanted to use the name to get the image file and set it to a variable. Then run the .Delete() command on that. But it's not working.

Nov 18, 2012I haven't used AutoCAD for seven years and when I did use it, it was for mechanical engineering purposes. Now I am using AutoCAD LT for architectural reasons. I've signed up to my local night school to get back into things.
I am making a location plan for a planning permission application to the local authority. I bought a 4 hectare or so location plan from the Ordinance Survey. I've drawn in the location of the proposed building and changed the relevant site boundaries to red and blue.
Now I want to use two layout tabs with a drawing border at a scale of 1:1250 and 1:1500 respectively. The existing scales appear to be in imperial units.
How can I change this?

I am trying to print my company logo into a PDF from autocad 2013 and it does but when i go open the PDF file it has lines all over it nothing is solid like the dwg file. i done this in all other versions of Autocad and it printed find to PDF and everythig was solid with no lines all over the PDF.

Now today any drawing that opens shows the plan view as last saved but then after loading takes the drawing and shifts it into a 3d view similar to a crossection. Is there a setting somewhere that has been changed? I noticed after a windows 7 update was preformed.

Dec 23, 2011We print out spot color seps every day using CorelDraw X4. After we print out the plates, I have to cut down the vellum that we print on so that we do not have a bunch of extra blank vellum on the sheet.

After I cut down the sheet, I then have to hand write the name of the spot color onto the sheet of vellum in marker.
Is there any way at all, to make it so that CorelDraw would actually add the name of the spot color that is printed on each page to the information that is already being printed to the lower left? Ideally, it could be placed in the same area where it's already printing the plate information on the last line.

Jan 3, 2012I want to print an A3 drawing on an A4 printer. I saved the drawing as .DWF and opened the "Autodesk Design Review 2012" to perform the "tiling" print. When in printing properties, I can't seam to understand why the drawing is split in 6 pages, when in reality one A3 sheet is 2x A4 sheets. You can see in the example, that so much space is wasted, is there a way to center the drawing, and am I doing everything right here?

Apr 17, 2013I have this heavy issue, i can't send to back a line, an object or a hatch under other lines. In 2012 i used this feature a lot but in 2013 it's not working very much, maybe 1 time out of 10 and i absolutely can't say why.
HPDRAWORDER = 1 seems to work with a new hatch.. but i can't redraw everything.
Let's say i put an entire floor plan into block then draw over it. (I don't want to start a Xref discussion please) i can't send the entire bloc to the back.I used to do that with 2012, 2008, 2007.. but it's 2013 it's not working, is there a way to correct that?

Nov 21, 2013I recently added 2 monitors to my set up to bring my total to 3. I am trying to figure out the best way to work on one drawing, with 2 differant veiws on each of the 2 main screens.
I would like my main screen to have the plan view and the second monitor to have an isometric veiw (or whatever I need at the time) of the same drawing. Is there a way to have the same drawing opened up in another window, in one session of Autocad 2013. One on the main screen and one on the secondary.

Nov 14, 2012As many of us seam to do the option to save by default to an older version of AutoCAD or universal DXF format is selected, my problem is however when you save an existing drawing a prompt appears asking if 'Drawing*.dxf last saved in AutoCAD 2004 format. Save in AutoCAD 2013 Drawing format?' this has annoyed me for years!
I have set it as default DXF 2014 for a good reason I don’t want a prompt asking me if I want to then save it as 2013 or I would have set it like that on my default setting, gets on your nerves when you are doing 100's of files.

Photoshop :: Drawing Boxes, Removing The Default Border...?
Sep 1, 2006Whenever I draw a box on the page using the foreground color, the background color is applied as a 1px border (I believe) and is accompanied with the box.
When you go to select the background color, there doesn't seem to be any 'use no color for background' option. It's also not being added in the 'layer options' box either (as a stroke).
How do I remove that the outside background color?
