AutoCAD 2013 :: 2014 Freezing All Programs?
May 9, 2013I've a problema with autocad 2014 when I start it all programs are freezing about a variable period fron 30s at 1min.
With autocad 2013 I don't has problems.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: 2014 Freezing Randomly/ Only Opening Certain Drawings
Aug 7, 2013I am running the new auto cad civil 3d 2014, downloaded from the design suite premium. I have left all of the programs installed (as a I saw that a few people chose to uninstall several of the programs). I am running auto cad on an @xi workstation, 4.1ghz processor, 16gb corsair vengence heatspred ram, 240gb ssd operating drive, 2tb storage raid 0 configuration storage drives, NVIDIA K2000 graphics card. It took me a while to configure the graphics settings within auto cad due to the high resolution, text is being portayed as small in some cases, commands are huge in others.
I am still adjusting all of those, however my real problem is that when I open certain drawings the program immediatly goes to not responding, and when I am working back and forth and trying to open multiple drawings it does the same. Just opening the program off of my desktop on a cold-start up takes maybe 15 seconds to be fully functional, the same with certain drawings. However others just seem to not want to be opened. This occurs with drawings large and small. Some large drawings open perfectly while some small ones crash, and vice versa. What could be the cause of this?
Revit :: 2014 Keeps Freezing / Not Responding?
Jul 24, 2013The program works fine until I try to edit the boundary of the topography. As soon as I click "edit boundary", the screen goes black for about an hour, then comes back with about 25% loaded. This cycle repeats until the loading is complete, so it takes me a few hours just to enter edit mode. The file is only 17, 280 KB, and Ive been running 240,000 KB files without an issue whatsoever.

It's getting to the point that it's time to look for a program that will work with autocad and not make me have to reset all of my settings every time I start Cadpipe.

AutoCAD 2013 :: Freezing Layers In Viewports
Feb 6, 2013I'm working with alot of overlapped x-refs and every layer for each x-ref will come in to the drawing. When I'm using the viewports I need to freeze all the layers for some x-refs that don't need to show in that viewport. Since each x-ref has well over 70 layers I am wondering if there is a simple way to freeze all the x-ref layers in the viewport.

Jun 24, 2012I've got a issue with working with images. I draw furniture full scale and sometimes it necessary to hard draw and scan the drawing and then attached the image in autocad and trace over the image in AutoCAD 2013. everything is fine until I attach the image, then it freezes with every move that I try to make. The images are around 700 kbs in size. Is there anything I can do or change some kind of setting?? btw. version 2004 doesn't have this problem.

Templates have been coverted up from 2011, keeping copies of the old templates in separate folders all under the same parent directory.Have 2013 mapped to the folder with updated templates located on a network drive. Total of 18 temolates including the standard templates.

The Issue:I start Inventor 2013 or open an .ipt/.iam ect. I now want to create a new file so I click the "New" Icon.Inventor freezes for 10-15seconds and finally shows the templates.After that if you click on any of the templates it freezes instantly. Or if you scroll the browser bar down to navigate the folder. 15-35 seconds
After selecting the correct template it freezes for about 15 seconds.For those keeping track Thats 40-65 seconds just to open a drawing...
For Inventor 2011.Click, Click, Click. Open...Takes maybe 5 seconds.

Jul 1, 2013I have been migrating dozens and dozens of .pat files from one version of AutoCAD to the next for many, many versions. Most recently in AutoCAD 2013 the .pat files were stored in the C:Program FilesAutodeskAutoCAD 2013SupportPatterns - worked fine. During the migration to 2014 I received an install error report stating that this subdirectory did not exist and could not be created. Alternately it stated that the new default path C:UsersUsernameAppDataRoamiongAutodesk|AutoCAD 2014R19.1enuSupport will be used instead.
At first I created the Patterns subdirectory where it could not be done automatically. No luck. Then I placed the Patterns subdirectory in C:UsersUsernameAppDataRoamiongAutodesk|AutoCAD 2014R19.1enuSupportPatterns and no luck.
AutoCAD 2013 :: Copy Settings And Toolbars From 2013 To 2014?
Dec 20, 2013Happens every year. Upgrade and spend half a day or more trying to get everything back to the way I had it. All I have is a couple small toolbars for commands that are several clicks deep in the ribbons and I want them "right there" all the time.
I thought Autodesk 360 might be a good tool for this. All it did was DOWNLOAD some old settings and destroy one of the toolbars I'd created. They really need an override in there to specify upload, download, overwrite or don't.
I'm trying to migrate (I guess that's the technical term) my settings from 2013 Mechanical to 2014 Mechanical. It's probably too late already, after 360 did its deal, but I really want to get this down so we don't go through it every year anymore.
I maintain that PTC had this part of it down Pro/ENGINEER. You had a config file that was editable plain text.

Jun 11, 2013i made some 3d modelling in autocad 2014 in the 3d drawing mode but i have some difficulty in modifying the dimensions of the subobjects.
1 method that i already know is to use the scale gizmo which works but not much as i am not able to set the exact dimensions i need. it only scales the subobject according to the previous size.

Every time I try to use it, it stretches my image to nothing but horizontal lines and despite trying to modify it with the texture editor it eventually colllapses the autocad. Sep 20, 2013I have problem with compatibility this two versions of civil 3D. Files created in C3D 2013 then modified in 2014 don't want to open in C3D 2013. Files contain many civil objects: shortcuts, corridors. During opening occurs fatal error.
There is no problem with files which were created in C3D 2014 from the begining only modified in C3D 2014.
AutoCAD 2013 :: ESC On Lsp Dialog Box Freezes 2014
Dec 12, 2013I'm running AutoCAD 2014 (part of AutoCAD Structural Detailing 2014), & it occasionally freezes on me. I haven't figured out how to reproduce it regularly yet, but it is somewhat predictable. When I run a list routine that opens a dialog box, if I press Escape immediately after the dialog box appears, AutoCAD quits responding & I have to force it to close with the task manager. It doesn't always happen, but it has become a semi-regular event. I've previously used AutoCAD 2010 Mechanical & AutoCAD 2012 (part of Structural Detailing 2012) before with the same routines on this machine with no issue.

AutoCAD 2014 doesn't seem to be noticably more resource intensive than 2012 was, so I don't think that's my issue. I'm just trying to make a habit of saving more often & not accidentally running the wrong command.

I do this operation. I uncheck on my deployment Autodesk 360 on AutoCAD.But when I try to install AutoCAD he still install the Autodesk 360.
When I search on my deployment folder all the setup.ini. I found 5 of them.But only 1 have the line that I change.

May 18, 2013I have been trying to install and run a student version of AutoCAD 2013 on my computer and it keeps crashing/freezing at the first startup after installation, and never works after that. Installation is all fine and smooth. Starting the program however takes a few seconds to load the plugins then it hangs at the loading screen forever. I've tried turning off the loading screen but the program itself just crashes and appears to be "Not Responding" anyway. I've tried uninstalling all Autodesk products and only install AutoCAD 2013 but it's still not working.
As for my computer, it runs Autodesk Inventor 2014 very well. Specification-wise:

RAM: 16GB
NVIDIA Quadro 600
