I have just a general question regarding "File Removal" of the Beta Programs.
In the past there would have been a "File Removal" app to go with the beta's after the expiration however there was no app this year, (our expiration was May 31st). any associated problems with removing the beta's "Manually" this year?
I installed Photoshop CS6 Beta and I just removed it using the uninstaller under Applications/Utility/Adobe Installers/Adobe Photoshop uninstaller alias. I had to find it myself as the information on the Web is wrong. Obviously I am on a Mac (Lion 10.7.4), but now that it has been removed, I still have an Adobe Photoshop 6 Beta folder in Applications that was not removed. Do I just delete the folder or do I need to do something else?
I did find the Adobe Creative Cleaner Tool but I also have Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 installed. Can I use the uninstaller tool and not damage the Elements installation? I just want to be sure before I jump. I do have a full, bootable backup of my installation just in case something goes wrong.
Any good add on PIPING program for AutCad. We've been using CADPIPE, but every time that they do an update, their program changes default settings. It's getting to the point that it's time to look for a program that will work with autocad and not make me have to reset all of my settings every time I start Cadpipe.

With autocad 2013 I don't has problems.
Is this a Windows 8 issue or an Autocad issue? I mean this thing crashes at random. Its not like I'm runnign a lot...1 version of autocad....no other programs other than google chrome...We have a lot of macs runnign LT I think 2013 with no issues.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI don't suppose there exists a lisp or method other than PEDIT that would automatically delete vertices that are unnecessary. I have a set of plans that seem to have been drawn...interestingly.
A lot of polylines have these seemingly arbitrary vertices that break up longer straight lines.
Ideally I'd like something that would compare Vertex A, B and C, if they all share an X or a Y, remove Vertex B (assuming that A, B and C are sequential vertices on one Polyline) - perhaps with a way of adding an adjustable tolerance.
My Photoshop CS6 BETA has updated and so I need to uninstall it before proceeding.It is not listed in my add remove programs and I can not see it with my CCleaner either.
If I go to the directory there is no set up file nor uninstall file anywhere.I am using Windows 7 and Photoshop Beta version 13.0.0.0.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've got a problem following playing around (Typical, isn't it?). Architecture 2011 allows editing property sets from external objects through the host drawing (i.e. change a room number of a property set attached to a space xref'ed in from another construct). This obviously has to put an editing lock onto the xref to prevent data loss in case somebody else works on the xref in the meantime. This editing lock is removed when I close my host drawing. However, the lock is immediately restored when I re-open the host drawing.
How can I release the xref file lock again after editing the property sets in my host drawing?
This query is with regard to a Wire-removal/Touchup process in dealing with16Bit(half float) EXR files. Here is the process we adopted.
- Opened a 16Bit (Half float) Exr file in Photoshop, which showed it as 32Bit file
- Since the footage has lot of fire/blast elements among which we need to erase a "WIRE", we need to use "Healing Brush" which doesn't work on 32Bit files. When we tried to 'Convert' 32 Bit file to 16Bit file directly, we get a 'Washed Out' problem, since the shot is over exposed due to Fire/Blast elements in it. So here is a pipeline we used.
---- Added "Exposure" (Image > Adjustment > Exposure)
---- Set the "Exposure" to -5 (since it is a over-exposed frame, value -5 depends on exposure values of shots)
---- File > Export > Render Video (OpenExr output)
---- Open the above render file in photoshop
---- Convert to 16bit (Image > mode > 16bit)
---- Use any 16 bit tool for cloning (Eg. Healing tool)
---- Added "Exposure" (Image > Adjustment > Exposure)
---- Set the "Exposure" to +5 (Reversing)
---- Convert to 32bit (Image > Mode > 32Bit)
---- File > Export > Render Video (OpenExr output)
After rendering out, we checked the "original footage" with the "output exr" and apart from the Touch-up (wire removal) portion, all other details remain the same. Since this is a high-end hollywood project, (professionals) confirm whether this process is safe.
During the process we found a bug that this process only works, when we render whole footage, meaning if we try single frame, then there seems to be a slight color difference only in the overexposed area.
When we opened the client input EXR file, under Nuke it shows as "16 Bit (Half float)" but the same when opened under photoshop it shows as 32 Bit file.
I have been migrating dozens and dozens of .pat files from one version of AutoCAD to the next for many, many versions. Most recently in AutoCAD 2013 the .pat files were stored in the C:Program FilesAutodeskAutoCAD 2013SupportPatterns - worked fine. During the migration to 2014 I received an install error report stating that this subdirectory did not exist and could not be created. Alternately it stated that the new default path C:UsersUsernameAppDataRoamiongAutodesk|AutoCAD 2014R19.1enuSupport will be used instead.
At first I created the Patterns subdirectory where it could not be done automatically. No luck. Then I placed the Patterns subdirectory in C:UsersUsernameAppDataRoamiongAutodesk|AutoCAD 2014R19.1enuSupportPatterns and no luck.

I am currently working with a company who is attempting to design AutoCAD symbols for an outside food service company.
How common is it to produce 2D symbols as well as 3D symbols? And, if 3D symbols are common, what programs are easiest/best to use?
Additionally, what are the standard set of views for the symbols? Just overhead? Or overhead and profile?
How or where to go to find out how to convert Autocad LT drawings into programs our CNC machining centers can use? Autocad assured me it would do this when we bought it. I just can't seem to find any info on it.

Is there a program that can rename a new file to match another file name (They are in 2 different folders)

View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently the updater on my version of CS2 started telling me that there was no internet connection, and to check my firewall and connections. Having recently installed a new firewall I spent some time checking that out, together with various other pieces of protective software. Despite ensuring that the CS2 applications (including the updater EXE) had the necessary permissions, I still wasn't able to automatically access the Adobe updates.
After puzzling for a day or so, I checked back on installations and changes to my PC over the previous couple of weeks, and realised that I'd started to try out Internet Explorer 7 Beta 3, at about the same time as I'd installed the new firewall. After removing the IE7 update, and returning to IE6, the Adobe updater started to function again.
I did a quick search to see if anyone else had posted regarding this, but couldn't find anything, so thought I let you know in case anyone else is thinking of installing Beta 3. I have emailed Microsoft to make them aware.
I'm unable to install Adobe CS3, CS4 on Windows 7 Beta x64. When I open "Setup.exe" - Windows shows error window "Adobe Setup has stopped working" and offers me to send more info about this problem.
How to install it?
I'm running OS10.6.8 on a mac pro.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have taken the opportunity to try Lightoom 4 beta but have decided to stay with CS6 when it arrives, I cannot see any way to remove the program from a Mac, in the aplications folder where lightroom is there seems to be no uninstall option, I have tried to drag it to the trash but that does not work, I want a lean machine for when CS6 arrives so a Gb of HD space would be worth having.
