Okay. So our designer is using autocad 2013. He is using a pc and he is sending me the files (i'm on a mac) and the thinest lines do not show or print. But, they print/show on a pc! I need to be able to print these. I've searched the web and found nothing.
View 3 Replieswhat I do need clarification on is the statement in this warning "One or more bodies which are thing being treated as solids". Does this mean that the bodies that were detected fall under the criteria for being a Midsurface or Offset and that the user has the opportunity to apply these commands in order to make the analysis more accurate? So if I were to ignore this and continue with my analysis, the members will still be treated as a solid and not as a shell and/or surface (which is what the Midsurface/Offset command produces)? The members I am using that have triggered this warning are HSS 2x2x0.125 x 12' long.

we get rasterized diagonal lines when printing from AutoCAD on that Printer in A0 format, straight lines are ok.
Printing FIRST to an PDF printer an THEN to the T520 ist also ok (this is what the customer currently does and the quality is good). Got some suggestions from a local ACAD dealer (max. details in the printer driver) but no success ...
I want to make 3D assemblies of very thin layers (the layers have 1000000:1 lateral to depth dimensions) in AutoCAD. Currently I make them in PTC Creo, but I would like to move to using AutoCAD instead.
What is the best method to do this? Specifically, how can I extrude multiple (6-8) ultra-thin layers individually, then join them in an assembly which I can bend and flex to make 3D surfaces? I have attached a Keyshot render of a design I did in Creo. I would like to make the exact same structure in AutoCAD. The design is 6 layers stacked on top of each other, joined as one part, than manipulated into a complex, 3D shape.
Also, is AutoCAD the best Autodesk software to do this? I have access to the student versions of the Autodesk software if it makes a difference.

I could not print, save, make any changes to one particular drawing which was created ion Autocad 2013. Whenever I tried to work on the file attached error message pops up and Autocad program gets closed.

The 'lines' seem to be showing 'reflective effect'. However, it really cause problem when I give this to my boss. He asked why I cut the sheet metal into so many pieces. View 4 Replies View RelatedI just downloaded and installed Infrastructure Design Suite Premium which includes AutoCAD 2013. For some reason the PDF drivers are not working, and I have already gone through the add a plotter wizard to no avail. One thing to note is I still have AutoCAD LT 2010 on my machine, and all the print drivers work fine for it. Perhaps there is some kind of conflict between the two CAD programs on one machine?

I did use to round selection tool to create a circle. Then, I strike with or a fuzzy 1-3 pixels brush and look at the shi.... result a I get. My straight diagonal lijes look just great but the circles are just awful.What can be done to have the circles with lines as clean as the straight ones?

I have document in an Illustrator. The document is generally for print, I don't using them to making website, so without using Slice tool.
I need have separation pdf so first I print the document to postrscript usind pdf ppd. Always the same settings:
1. General - only media size
2. Marks and Bleed - none (i mean all off)
3. Output - mode: Separations (host-based), and rest like is: emulsion: Up, Image: Positive, Printer Resolution: 71lpi/600dpi
4. Graphic - none
5. Color Managment - none
6. Advanced - none
7. Summary - none
After printing I have a separation, pdf file. Always appears vertical and horizontal thin white lines, like document was preparing for website and sliced. Can I use some settings to avoid this situation? I tried a various setting but the lines always appears..
Why does my new lines all show their vertices, even if they arent selected? I dont want the vertices to show when the lines isnt selected.

Lines are always missing when I print especially medium to thin lines or hidden lines or for example hatch tile lines. I use the plotter also on a pc and there are no problems at all. I changed the thickness of my lines in ctb and still have lines missing. I change percision to 1 and same thing. If I print draft, normal or best I still have problems. I know how to spool and use in built memory on pc but can not find something similar on the mac and dont know if that will work, as i printed same drawings from pc. It seems that when there are close lines together or dense lines in an area, it just skips them.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI started a drawing for a project, and so far I don't have much information in the drawing. I created a few objects, then went to one of my Layout pages and created a viewport to view the objects, and bam - some of the lines are missing (the yellow objects). As you can see on the screen grabs, I hovered over the Model tab to prove they're still there. Even when I double-click inside the viewport to edit through it and try to grab the objects, they're apparently gone. But they're not, they show up in the Model tab.
The layer they're on is turned on, thawed, and unlocked, but every object in that layer is missing when I leave the Model tab. I've opened viewports on other Layout pages, and they all refuse to show the yellow lines.
[URL] When I use a point on an existing geometry as reference to place a new line or shape, I get a strange result when attemting to move either geometry.
As you can see in the video the two shapes will BOTH move when only ONE is selected.
Also, it seems that the shape/ lines that are not selected but still move are anchored somewhow which causes distortion.

i have some overlapping lines which are in different layers. i want to clean them up, but wants the cleaned line to be remained in a specific layer. Can i know or change which layer will the cleaned line be remained in?
or can i simple select the duplicate line instead of deleting them?
How can i adjust the area I want to print? I mean the dashed line. What i need to do is print out a map and i want it to cover the entire paper, without any bords around it.
