Sep 27, 2012Whenever I try to adjust my LTS for a line it changes the LTS of every line in my drawing instead of the individual line. How do I get it so it changes one line at a time?

Apr 5, 2013I use Mtext quite a bit and I am trying to convince others in the office that it's a good thing (versus single line text in long paragraphs). One of their concerns in the shape of the Mtext. For instance, when you use Mtext, you type into a nice rectangle that you can change the size of. What they have to do on occassion is instead of having a nice rectangle of text, they have to make it like a triangle. So in this case, single line text can be adjusted so that the end of the sentences make an angle.
Is there a way to do this using mtext? Or is there an lsp that will work?

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Adjust Line Spacing In Network Structure Labels
Mar 1, 2013I have questions in 2012 pipe network labels.
We are having problems with running out of space and would like to squeeze the line spacing between lines to get more room. We know how to do that in standard MTEXT but can't find the equivalent in the label settings.
I have also noticed problems getting dragged pipe labels to stack. I check the box to stack on drag, but it doesn't seem to do it. We created a separate stacked label style.

Apr 19, 2011Is there a way to adjust the settings in pan, zoom, and orbit. I've been using these commands with my mouse button and wheel. These 3 commands are not behaving properly. Whenever I make a small scroll on my mouse, the view port zooms all the way until I cannot see anything, which is very unlikely. The same goes when I use Orbit, a small movement/click in my mouse, makes a very big difference in a view port.
But everything goes well whenever I start new drawing.

Jan 22, 2010We are creating a new company title block for the use in Inventor 2010 and AutoCAd 2010. It has initially been generated in Inventor and exported to AutoCAD. My problem is that all attributes that came over are now setup as multiline attributes and I can't seem to change them to single line. Therefore you have to open the multiline editor separately for every single item to make changes in lieu of just 'tabbing' through the values in the Enhanced Attribute Editor. This adds time and frustration and seems to be intolerable for some of my colleagues.
Is there a way to change the attributes to a single line in AutoCAD I'm just not aware of? I tried to find different settings for the export from Inventor but the options seem to be very limited.
I could probably go over this and create separate AutoCad only titleblock and border but that would kind of defeat the purpose.

Jul 12, 2013I assume it's just my autocad display but I can never tell if lines and are drawn correctly or not. I'll draw construction lines and circles and grip edit my linework to snap to the end points and arc midpoints perpindicular to the circle but there are still overlapping displays. In the attached image I've snapped to arc points to the circle and the edges of the hatch to the extension/intersection of them and this is how it still displays.
Yes, I am constantly regenning and my arc smoothness is set to 10000.
AutoCAD 2010 :: Line Weights In XRef
Oct 2, 2012The line weights in the xref are as they should be - I can change the line weight (plot by layer/color) and it plots correctly; when I attached this file to another drawing, the line weights do not plot. I can change the layer color to modify the weight (.ctb file) and the correct line weight appears on the monitor, but when I plot - the line weight looks like a standard default width.
I checked the lwdefault in the xref and three other drawings, and in every drawing it is set to '25'; the lines are lines (not plines), and have a zero elevation. The units are the same as the other drawings;
I believe it's a setting in the drawing (not the xref) - what setting it might be.
AutoCAD 2010 :: Stretching A Line With Grips
Feb 25, 2012I use to be able to stretch a line by using the end grip and typing 50 , this would extend the line by 50 units
The problem i now have is that if i do the same thing thing , the line instead of strecting 50 units the line becomes 50 units long in total

I am designing furniture in 3D and want to view the object at SE Isometric, then rotate an additional 18 degrees, then take a screenshot that will basically give me a block that is a line drawing of the object with lines hidden. This is a question with two parts:
#1: How do I rotate from SE Isometric 18 degrees to get the view angle I want?
#2: How do I take a screenshot of the object that will produce a block with hidden lines?
There are two seperate commands for each of these, I just can't remember what they are.
Attached is a picture of the final product I'm looking for.

Oct 23, 2012I am trying to create a new linetype. It is a simple linetype, made up of a continuous chain of capsules that I've attached here. I understand that linetypes require shape files and line definition files. However, AutoCAD isn't even telling me how to create the shape file(s) I need to begin making the linetype.
The capsule is .12 units long at its widest, and will need to connect end-to-end.
AutoCAD 2010 :: Drawing A Line Perpendicular To An Arc?
Sep 21, 2011Recently I've been working with a lot more projects that contain curved architectural features. It appears that I am unable to draw a line to an implied perpendicular point on an arc. I can draw a line to an implied point perpendicular to another line but not an arc. refer to attached images.
Image1 demonstrates the implied point perpendicular to a line.
Image2 demonstrates that there is no implied perpendiuclar point on the arc given by AutoCAD.
Image3 demonstrates that if the arc is manually extended, a point perpendicular to the arc does exist.
It seems like this should work.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Can't Change Line Color
Aug 31, 2012Been using ACAD for 20+years...AutoCAD 2012/Civil 3D 2012 is driving me nuts. Simple question I am sure. I created a new layer with green as its color. It is showing up as yellow in my viewport. I checked my plot style(ctb), and is same as I have used for many years....prints black(pen 7). Typically shows green on screen and plots black. Looking in the Layer Properties Manager, I noticed that on the far right, there is a column labeled 'VP Plot Syle'. It has Color 2(yellow) shown. How do I change this as I am guessing this is causing issue.

Apr 24, 2013I accidentally got constraints in my present drawing and could not get rid of them. pls give me a hand on how to delete them. it is causing me a problem when for example i need to stretch a line that have a point (which makes part of the line) the point moves together with the line which means the original coordinate of the point is lost. THIS MUST NOT HAPPEN. i work with precise coordinates which means the coordinates of points should be kept as originals and NOT TO MOVE ELSEWHERE.
I notice i was using the multiple stretch with C option when I noticed the problem started and after that i had constraints sticked on all the lines.
How to get rid of constraints?
