AutoCAD 2010 :: Underline Top Line Option Located In Content Tab Of Modify MultiLeader Style Dialog
Jun 7, 2013
We are trying to use the "Underline top line" option located in the Content tab of the Modify MultiLeader Style dialog in AutoCAD 2012 (See attachment).
The minor issue we have is that there seems to be no way to adjust the gap between the text and the "underline". In regular dimensions, there is a dimvar called DIMGAP that controls this distance. Is there any way to control the distance between the top line MText and the "underline"?
I have created a custom set of construction callout to use with the Multileaders.
I dont know if its just a Monday or what, but where are the blocks stored??? I mapped their location in the work support path and I inserted the blocks into the drawing but when I go to select them from the "Select Custom Content Block" drop down they are not in there???
Where are these block files coming from? How do I map my autocad to bring up these blocks?
Autocad2010 there is a blue triangle preceding layer name in property box on some layers as shown on attached image. Sometimes these layers are turned on when viewing paperspace, sometimes they do not show up.
Using Civil 3D release 2102 on a 64bit Win7 capable Dell Precision, everything up to date.
I have a table created from a datalink using TABLE command. I want to have it use a fill color of 255 in order to mask the objects behind it. I cannot seem to modify the table style, and using fill in Excel doesn't seem to the affect Autocad table.
As you know, when I create a table from a datalink I am not allowed to choose which style.
I don't like using wipeouts to provide a background mask, because they never seem to work when plotting from paper space.
How I can apply fill to the table, or otherwise mask the pbjects behind the table?

Lines are drawn together. So that the file is busy. I am looking for a command that extra line below the main line is being erased. As the top line is there to stay, and underline and additional lines to be deleted.
I have created a 1/4" DIM style and everything is how I want it to look except my leader function. When I go to use the leader it is grossly out of scale ( much smaller than I want) and it uses a different text than that of what I set in the style.
I can't find a 'background mask' on/off toggle in the 'Multileader Style Manager' in AutoCAD 2013. In the 'Dimension Style Manager' you can easily add a background to dimension text in there but it doesn't seem to be an option for a multileader style. Did AutoCAD actually miss this?!? If so that is a huge inconsistency. I want to have a multileader style preset in a template with the background text masks on. I hope it's not something that a user needs to go and first do their multileader, then afterwards have to go and manually turn the mask on via the properties pane.
I'm using multileader overall scale to define ml. types for different drawing scales. For example ml. style 1_10 uses overall scale 10 and 1_20 uses overall scale 20.
When i select the ml. and change its style from 1_10 to 1_20 it also changes the overall scale to 20 which is ok.
Thing is that if i want to change it back from 1_20 to 1_10 (or something else) it only changes the dimstyle and not the overall scale(text height).
I use LT 2010 and have defined a multileader style which is annontative. When i use this each time i have to make he text annotative and set the height even though it uses the right annotative text style.
how to create a selection set based on a specific Multileader style? I can currently creating a typedvalue array to define the filter criteria, but cannot find the DXFCODE for the Multileader style.
Multileader Style that is Annotative, and once it gets drag/dropped on a Tool Palette, the Annotative aspect of the style no longer is enabled when it's activated through the Tool Palette on a fresh drawing? I've looked through all the System Variables related to the Annotative family (that I can think of) and still I'm not seeing the results that I want.
I can insert these into our Client Specific Template for our internal stuff, but we kick off new jobs all the time by producing a quick "test fit" for our client.
These Tool Palettes are networked on an enterprise level so it would be a real bummer if we can't get it to work.
Which settings or where do I go to set my drawing Style, Text height and line space factor on all my drawings in one shot. It is frustrating going through many drawings changing it.
When we design vehicles, we often give dimensions that are based off the centerline of front axle. In a particular drawing view, if we don't show the actual axle, how can we dimension an item from this imaginary line that is located on the frame? I tried creating a sketch on the drawing view and drawling a line but I can't locate that line any particular way...meaning I can't put that line 50" back from the front of the framerail, for example.
In the Select File dialog box, I can modify the column widths and I can change the column content. For example, I can delete the "date" column and add a "date modified" column. But, I haven't found a way to save the settings that I prefer to have each time the dialog box opens. How to save the settings as the default dialog box?
When you create a new Frame Generator assembly, you have a dialog box with Frame name, Path to frame file, Skeleton name, path to skeleton file. Inventor propose default values. Is there a way to automatically modify these default values ? For example, instead Inventor propose "New Frame file name = Frame0001.iam", I want a custom calculated file name.
I would like to change the look of the point that I draw ni autocad.
When i draw a point (1 on the joined picture), I can choose different style (point, circle, square, ...) and increase or reduce the size (2 on the joined picture)
point.PNG
but the model stay allways thin, i would like to modify my point to look like the 3 ont the joined picture.
I know that 20 models are allready a lot of choice, but is there a possibility to modify the library of the point?
I am fed up with constantly changing the colour, justification, font and font size of text in sketches in the part environment. The text style drop down box is greyed out in the part environment so i can't set up a style and just change it.
Where i need to go to change what the default-iso style defaults to? Any registry key change i can use to make the test style drop down box available in the part sketch environment?
Using Autocad 2014 and would like away to put a vertical line at the text where the leader meets it. Is this a setting that I'm missing or might there be a Lisp routine to get it? See the attached jpeg.
I have a Multileader Style and have the Mtext to come in with "Underline top line". The text sits right where I want such as EXIST. 24 RCP but when I enter something with an inch or foot symbol such as EXIST. 24" RCP the text will end up sitting right on the leader line. I don't see where I can set an offset for the Mtext coming in with the leader. What can I do to make this change?
I am having trouble drilling down to the object that contains the point label components. Specifically, I would like to access values such as Anchor Component, Anchor Point, Text Height, X Offest, and Y Offset for the various components of the Point Label Style. I am able to get the Point Label Style by name (object dump below) but I don't know how to get at the components that I want to work with.
One of my customer is using Autodesk Inventor 2009, windows XP
He has a problem with the ''place from content center'' dialog, it suddenly missing all the content library from the dialog box but it worked fine on the day before this.
I'm snapping to the corners of my multileader text boxes. OSNAPNODELEGACY is set to 1 and I'm not snapping to regular text or mtext. How can I change this behavior for the multileader text?
