AutoCAD 2010 :: SCALELISTEDIT Dialog Box Not Visible?

Anytime I try to add a custom scale either by selecting the "custom scale" option from the paperspace viewport scale menu or by entering the command SCALELISTEDIT manually, the dialog box doesn't appear.Â
It's not that the box isn't opening because all other buttons and functionality are restricted in AutoCAD until I hit escape to exit out of the command. It's as if it's opening on a separate monitor, except it doesn't appear on my secondary monitor when I plug it in either.
Is there a command where I can manually add a custom scale or a property that I can change to force the box to be docked?

I need to edit the scales and add custom ones, but when i type _SCALELISTEDIT, nothing happens, I know that its selected as my layout isn't any longer, but I can't find the darn window where the scales are located. I've also tried using the menu as well. This is for ALL drawings. New and already created.

I am using adobe photoshop CS4 64bit environment. I have converted a 32bit plugin into a 64bit plugin. I have succesfully loaded the plugin . Now my problem is when i click on the pluginName from the menu list, my plugin dialog is not visible. I am using DialogBoxParam API to show the dialog within the "DoUI" method but this API(DialogBoxParam) is returning an error value. I have used the GetLastError and got the below mentioned error: Error 1813: The specified resource type can not be found in the image file. The 32bit plugin is running succesfully with this dialog resource. I am using the same .rc file which i am using in 32 bit plugin.

I can't seem to get the Layers dialog tool set back up and visible. I have uninstalled and re-installed and it still is not visible.
I have downloaded the latest version from cnet.com - 2.6.11. How do I get it back?

All my drawings have loads and loads of obsolete scales on them. Trouble is, when I run the scalelistedit function, Autocad 2008 comes up with the following message:
'Unhandled exception has occurred in a component of your drawing.If you click continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.Index was outside the bounds of the array.'
This is driving me nuts because I don't know what this means and the long scale list is slowing down my work (especially when I 'copy-paste' bits of drawing from one autocad file to another.get my scalelistedit function working again!

I have 2 files, A100 and C100, with C100 being xrefed into A100. Both have a few other xrefs in them, being used for whatever reasons, and must stay.If you open either file without the other being present, they open fine, but if they can find each other there's a 20-40 minute lockup.
C100 being a civil drawing, I thought the problem was one of the missing .shx files. So after spending countless hours trying to track it down, I finally noticed a warning when trying to open the files together that C100 had 2200+ scale lists. Using 2008 in the office, scalelistedit gives a runtime error, as well as the 2008 install at home. Using 2010, scalelistedit is successful in solving my 20-40 minute problem. (I did save back down to 2007..)
Now, back in 2008, the Style Manager won't open, as it says there is content from a newer version in the file. Also, any xrefs with AEC content, walls etc, come in without displaying said content.

I use the command -scalelistedit  to clean the strange scale , i do purge , save , close and when I re-open the drawing the bad scales are back

The icons are not visible in the toolbar. If I hover the cursor over the icon, the commands are active but no icons are visible.Â

I noticed today that in some drawing files I cannot see the selection box (clicking in a blank area and moving the cursor). I am still able to select things this way, both crossing and inclusive, but I just can't see where the cursor is or the selection box. In other drawings this works as it should with the blue and green boxes visible.
Under options>Display, the colors are set correctly. Under Drafting the aperture slider is at about halfway, but the preview is blank. Under Selection the pickbox size is at a fifth of the way up, but the preview is blank.
I have tried updated my graphics driver to the newest (and AutoCAD recommended) driver.

I am working on a sheet which curently has the MAXACTVP setting set at 30 which is adequate for the number of VP's currently on the sheet but the contens are still not visible unless i move them.Â

I would like to be able to check if an Annotation Scale already exists and if it doesn't I would like to create it using the SCALELISTEDIT command and then set it to be the curent scale. I then plan to invoke the MLEADER command.
I do not want to have to rely on adding every possible scale in the list beforehand as my program would fall appart when a user decides to set an unusual scale I haven't thought of adding to the list.

Layers are shown in the drop down menu from the ribbon but when I open the layer manager no layers are visible. I can click in the empty space and the layer will highlight. See attached.

Just installed AutoCad 2012 and I have the Property Dailog Box open. I anchor it to the left side of the drawing screen and "Lock" all toolbars in place. When I get out and go back into Autocad, the dailog box is still locked, but it is in the middle of the drawing screen.

What command turns off the annoying "selection dialog box"? I don't know if it's new or not, but it started showing up this week. I see the purpose, but don't like it or the fact that autocad makes difficult to turn off a feature after it puts it there without warning. Attached is a screen shot of it.

I have a viewport in paper space with most layers set to "VP Freeze".  When I save the drawing or when a auotsave occurs, the frozen layers become visible again in the viewport even though they are still marked as frozen. The only way I can get the viewport to display correctly again is to close the drawing and re-open it. How I can stop this from happening?

Is there any way to edit (remove) the "Lock position" mode of a visible attribute in a block once the block has been created? This characteristic does not show up in BATTMAN for editing.

I have a big drawing and some Mtext from a text layer just disapeared from model space. If i switch to a Layout the text is visible in the layout view and I can select it in a floating viewport, but when I switch back to model again I do not see it.
I added new text in model where missing and now in the Layout I have duplicates, the old one and the new one.
If i try to copy/paste the missing text from a previous version of the drawing, the text just doesn't paste, is not visible.

When I insert a drawing from another source as a block into one my drawing - and then explode the block and change the exploded block layers to my layers.  Then I purge out the old layers. Normally this works fine, but I have lately had trouble getting rid of some unwanted layers as everytime I have tried, I get the message that they are x-ref dependent and cannot be deleted or purged. I have tried to isolate them by freezing and turning off everything else, but there are no features, entities, "specks" whatever, to erase. I have looked at the xref command, and my drawing shows no rogue xrefs. I am not sure what to do to get rid of these layers.

My AutoCAD has started doing something different, I don't remember turning it on, and now I can't figure out how to turn it off.
What happens is when I hover the mouse near two or more objects a little blue box icon appears telling me that there is multiple objects there. Then, if I click, it asks me which object I want to select. URL....

When opening AutoCAD 2010, I get an error message "Unable to load profile...". This happened unexplicably. I have been using AutoCAD several months with no problems. One annoying consequence is that dialog boxes do not display. For example, running DIMSTYLE does not open the Dimension Style dialog box; instead, a list of options such as ANnotative, Save, and Restore appears. How do I get back to normal?

I'm having a problem that my file dialog box won't open when I go to open, new or save as. When I hit open, new or save as the command bar wants you to type the file name. My co-worker told me to type CMDDIA and change it to 1. But that didn't work for my error. How to fix my AutoCAD issue. How to get rid of this warning dialog:
It appears at startup. I recently installed software (Simtra PathPlanner) that works with AutoCAD that may have caused this.

I started having this problem today: Whenever I try to insert a block (either from the command line or the pull-down menu), the dialog box appears for a fraction of a second and immediately vanishes. There are no options on the command line after this, and the main window loses focus. At first I thought it was somehow ending up behind the main window, but that's not the case. Hitting escape brings focus back and the program runs fine otherwise until I try and use the insert command again.
I installed the SP1 update earlier today, but this problem didn't start happening until hours after that. I then tried to do a fresh install, and the problem was still there before I reinstalled SP1, so I don't think that's the problem.
This first starting happening after creating a block, the same way I always do, but I don't see what I could've done. This problem isn't limited to a specific drawing of mine, it happens with all my files as well as new ones.

How could I be bringing up the Rename Dialog Box when I am in the Layer Dialog Box creating new layers? It seems to happen from now and again mostly when I go to change the color of the new layer. This shouldn't be an issue but once the box comes up, all my work inside the layer dialog box will be lost when I close it and reopen it.
Doesn't matter if I pick "OK" "CLOSE" or the "X" in the upper right hand corner of the box. Rename command, just what I hit, strike or click that brings it up and hopefully a means to change my CUI so I don't do it anymore.

I am difficulty getting the options dialog box to open (under the file menu "red A" dropdown list, options button). When I click on it, all of the buttons on top go gray and nothing appears. When I click on the black workspace, I get a compluter bell sound.
What I've tried to do to solve the problem is restart the computer and shutdown the computer.
