AutoCAD 2010 :: How To Access Dialog To Edit Image
Mar 25, 2012
In previous version of AutoCAd 2008 (or earlier) the images dialog to edit the images (i.e., brightness, sharpness, etc, it has been a long time and I forgot what they were, but they were there and with many options) was obvious, versatile, and very easily found then, but I could not find it in AutoCAD 2012.
I'm using P&GD2013. I draw with a wacom tablet and use the freehand brush tool in sketch mode with pressure enabled. I want to edit the properties of the brush . The help pages are quite clear except that I can't access the dialog box because the 'edit brush' button is greyed out.
I am trying to access the edit original (edit with) option to edit a photo that has not been edited yet. I right click and go through the edit menu and does not appear or is not available? Would I have to reopen it manual in photoshop or is there a way around this to access that setting? it sometimes does not appear on my already edited photos.
I would prefer not to open each photo again, as some files i do not have and were imported into the document with another computer.
I hope soemone knows how to regain access to the rendering dialog box.
I was operating on a 2560x1600 screen and I guess I happened to have the rendering dialog box at the far right. I had a hard drive failure yesterday, so while that is being fixed, I'm running on another computer at 1920x1200 and that dialog box isn't visible.
How to reset the dialog box or force it back onto the visible screen?
(It would be really sweet if the software was programmed to recognize the current desktop setting and ensure this kind of thing doesn't happen.
I try to open anything in Photoshop CS, the dialog window shows up for a fraction of a second and then disappears. Photoshop then immediately locks up as if the window is still there and I need to make a selection from there. Only way to do anything at this point is to CTL-ALT-DEL and close Photoshop.
I can't think of anything I installed on the laptop lately, Photoshop has run without incident for months on this machine. The other items in CS don't seem to have any problems at all either.
Lost the ability to double click on blocks and mtext to bring up the editor box in my drawings. I've tried all settings that i know of and have had zero results.
Seems like Multi-View Blocks are like that hot red-head in high school that you really want to get to know until you get to know them.
I made a bunch of blocks for my electrical plans. Annotative symbols for plan view, 3D blocks for model view, and elevation blocks for elevations. I then started creating the MVBs.
Upon insertion the annotative blocks appear super small and the model view blocks scale way up. The model view blocks are not annotative and are not supposed to scale at all. It seems MVBs see any block inside that is annotative as an indication that the entire MVB shall be annotative. Fustrated, I finally found a work-around that is a bit half-arsed:
I made another block as a sort of holder for the annotative symbols that was set to not be annotative and inserted that into the MVB. VOILA! the MVB itself doesn't scale, but the annotative symbol inside the non-annotative block does. This works fine except for one caveat: I can't edit attributes that are in blocks inside of blocks. If I made another block to use in the MVB for the attributes, it would work, so long as I don't make it annotative, which isn't what I want.
So, A) is there a better work-around than the block-in-a-block-in-a-multi-view-block method, or B) Is there a way to access and edit attribute data of sub-blocks inside a MVB?
Maybe my next thread will be about red-headed Multi-View Blocks with carpets that match the drapes.
If I double click a workplane in the browser, the edit dimension dialog comes up half way off screen, does not remember the screen position if I move it, so it has to be repositioned every time. Seems to be tied to the browser position.
I have several drawing templates that have prompted entry field text in the border and bring some model properties in the block. Problem is, if any change in the model properties occurs, this dialog box pops up EVERY TIME I return to the drawing, when changes in the model properties have nothing to do with the border. I have just checked and IV10 SP3a does not suffer from this behaviour. For me, this is an unnecessary dialog that pops up without being required to do so, and is time consuming - it takes extra mouse/keyboard clicks to dismiss and up to 10 seconds for it to close after being dismissed.
Is there an option to turn this off? (I've checked the Options >> Prompts tab, but there's nothing there)
I have just installed C3D 2012 and when I show the menu bar, the only choice is Express which used to be the last tool in previous versions. What happened to File - Edit - View - Insert - Format, etc in the menu bar? I need to access them.
I cannot access the edit workspace. I get an error message saying it's an invalid address. This just happened today and I don't know why. It is an old program.
When i am clicking rmb and choose edit in cs6 there is no export dialog like i had before ( export with lightroom settings, copy or original). My cr2 opening in cs without changes i made in LR ?
In the develop module the edit in dialogue gives me the choices of CS5 which I have, Elements 7 which I have, but NOT Elements 10 which I also have. Is there a way to include this as a choice for editing directly from Lightroom?
I have used Tech Support twice in past 4 months trying to get the Edit function to work. Have reinstalled program twice from an On-line download license. When attempting to open EDIT, the system either cycle for 30 seconds and then simply disappears, or a pop-up appears "PSE 10 has stopped working" and cycles for 30 seconds and then closes the program.
Just installed AutoCad 2012 and I have the Property Dailog Box open. I anchor it to the left side of the drawing screen and "Lock" all toolbars in place. When I get out and go back into Autocad, the dailog box is still locked, but it is in the middle of the drawing screen.
What command turns off the annoying "selection dialog box"? I don't know if it's new or not, but it started showing up this week. I see the purpose, but don't like it or the fact that autocad makes difficult to turn off a feature after it puts it there without warning. Attached is a screen shot of it.
In AutoCad 2000 there was a design center that showed my symbols on the CD. Now I have 2010 and can't acess my symbols on the CD. I can't run the installl on the CD because I don't have admin rights.
I added the Layer group (On / Off Freeze Lock / Unlock and Layer name) to the Quick Access Toolbar. I only see the first part name of the layer. Is there a way to stretch this part of the group in the QAT tool bar so I can see the more of the layer name? The partial name and layer color may be a sufficient clue as to the whole layer name over time. Would be nice to see the whole name until then.
I Recently installed AutoCAD 2010. When i Tried to draw a line or circle, etc. It just gets stops responding for some time and displays the following error "FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0xf02e682ah Exception at f02e682ah".
Anytime I try to add a custom scale either by selecting the "custom scale" option from the paperspace viewport scale menu or by entering the command SCALELISTEDIT manually, the dialog box doesn't appear.
It's not that the box isn't opening because all other buttons and functionality are restricted in AutoCAD until I hit escape to exit out of the command. It's as if it's opening on a separate monitor, except it doesn't appear on my secondary monitor when I plug it in either.
Is there a command where I can manually add a custom scale or a property that I can change to force the box to be docked?
My AutoCAD has started doing something different, I don't remember turning it on, and now I can't figure out how to turn it off.
What happens is when I hover the mouse near two or more objects a little blue box icon appears telling me that there is multiple objects there. Then, if I click, it asks me which object I want to select. URL....
When opening AutoCAD 2010, I get an error message "Unable to load profile...". This happened unexplicably. I have been using AutoCAD several months with no problems. One annoying consequence is that dialog boxes do not display. For example, running DIMSTYLE does not open the Dimension Style dialog box; instead, a list of options such as ANnotative, Save, and Restore appears. How do I get back to normal?
