Are there any legal limitations on using the prebuilt animated backgrounds that are provided in AE CS6? Can we use them in commercial projects on the web? Can we use them for national broadcast?

I am preparing for a video project that will involve a lot of 3d animation and am thinking of using Maya (on a Mac).
Can I use Corel draw or Adobe illustrator to create basic models for importing into Maya?
In particular, I have created some very complex 2d contour maps, the specific geography of which is important and must not change, each contour height has been given its own drawing layer so that I can easily manipulate the maps. Can I import and then create 3d animated landscapes from this type of graphic in Maya ?
I have encounter a huge problem with the exporting (rendering out) all contents of the Composition in After Effects CC.My workflow outline:
1) Created a Composition of 1920x1080 size.
2) Created a Solid Layer of 3840x2160 size.
4) Animated Scale and Position of the Solid Layer over duration of the Composition.
3) Created a Shape layer containing the Shape 1 using the Pen Tool. The Shape 1 is just an unclosed path from point A to point B
with the Stroke of 20 px width and no Fill applied.
4) Made my Solid Layer as the Parent of the Shape Layer.
5) Added a Trim Paths to my Shape 1 in the Shape Layer (containing Stroke 1) and animated End over the Composition duration.I have also animated the Stroke Width from 20 to 30 px.
The Composition is playing back perfectly in Composition window inside After Effects CC:Animated Line is going from point A to B while the Solid Layer changing position and scale all right!
6) Rendered the Composition out (using Render Que as well as Media Encorder CC) into a movie file.
When I play the resulting file I cannot see my animated Shape 1 Stroke (Trim Paths) in the Exported (Rendered out) Movie file: no Animated Line is present while the Solid Layer changing position and scale.However I can see the Solid Layer animation (Scale and Position) in the Movie file.
Why the animation can be seen in the Composition playback inside the AE CC but I cannot export it?
i did an animated vector graphics - i prepared all vectors iamges in illustrator and animated them in after effects afterwards. i am now about to export and i wonder what are the best settings. for video i normally use quick time with animation codec and it seems just fine to me. but i am not sure if it is ok for the cartoon. what codec to use for storing and publishing on the internet (youtube, vimeo)? what about swf? I red it is used to deliver animated vector graphics (such as cartoons) over the Internet
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble with my animated Lens Flare and the inaccuracy between the main timeline. It's the default AE filter. I have the Lens Flare animation in a composition called textbox which is within the main composition.
If you look at the screenshot you'll see the animated lens flare which moves from left to right. This animation is in my textbox comp.
On the second screenshot you'll see I'm at the same time, but the flare animation is inconsistent. I can't figure out what it is. I have the fps all the same.
So I've been trying to follow some 3d camera tracker tutorials to the tee but I keep having the same problem. When I go to render the video instead of the character staying in a fixed spot it starts to bounce all over the video.

My error rate is only .73.
I use AE CS5
The Issue as the title suggests is light source flickering off the asteroids... the asteroids were created using VCP plug in "Element 3D"
I havent had much experience using element as this is the first time I have tried it.. The light source is just standard AE light set to spot. It doesnt seem to make any difference changing it to "point" light or anything else.
I tried a few renders with different settings.. quicktime with sorenson 3 codec and animation codec didnt seem to do anything but I dont know alot about codecs to be honest
I've also posted a 4 sec vid for you to see my issue.. the flickering only seems to exist directly on the edge of some of the asteroids.
UPDATE --- Now that I have uploaded it to youtube for this forum post alot of the flickering seems to have dissapeared.. theres still a little I hope you can see it.. The anomoly is still very strong tho before uploaded....strange !
Having deleted the CS5 built-in actions, I tried to recover them by deactivating, uninstalling, deleting remaining folders/files, cleaning the registry, and reinstalling from scratch. But the built in actions did not install!

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen trying to create a PDF file of any drawing with the inbuilt DWG to PDF AutoDesk plotter the software always crashes out with a FATL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0000 Exception at 21247a28h. Not sure if this is a coincidence but this has only just started happening since updating my Adobe Reader software to the very latest XI version just released.
I have sent several error reports to Autodesk but can't see any in the support section. I have tried un-installing the Acrobat Reader software and AutoCAD still crashes out. Creating PDF's from external printers like PDF24 have no issues but prefer the inbuilt printer as it keeps the vector data and layering info in the resultant PDF.
Using AutoCAD LT 2013 with service pack 1.1 installed.
I mean compared to a standalone panorama software? If not, which panorama software is the best?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe're using a precise level to as-built and create a dtm of a floor. The client would like us to assess the dtm for changes of grade greater than 3mm over 3m. (The test is based on walking around the floor with a 3m straight edge and 3mm blocks - see Figure 6 in this paper .)
Please note that the floor could be laid on a slope and still comply - it's the grade changes we're looking for. And some of these floors are large so we'd prefer make it as automatic as possible.
As far as I know there's no surface style that can display grade changes. We can shade each triangle by slope, but it will still require manual visual inspection to see if adjacent triangles are sufficiently similar to comply.
I would like to try making a brass texture for a simple 3D build of a brass era antique car -brass lamp (in Second-Life)
I've done a Google search and have found several tutorials on making a " brushed metal surface" but nothing about brass itself. What color tools and values does one use to create a texture that looks like a nice warm, polished brass with typical brass highlights and shadows?
I left site, we are as building structures. When I id the current info, I have x and y co-ordinates but z values are 0, and when I try edit the z value it wont allow me to apply the new level .

I don't use any of the develop presets that ship with Lirhgtroom. How do I delete them? They are only cluttering my panel at this point as I have many of my own. Am using Photoshop CS5.1, Simply want to create a single picture (file) that has a "built-in" mat around it. Seems like all that's needed is a box in background (color it as a mat), then put the picture on top.
Problem is, when I go to size (or crop) the picture, it changes the size of the mat and Canvas Size. "Really" want the Canvas Size to STAY 16in x 20in, just makes it easier so can SEE and adjust (move, crop, slide arund) the picture to be 13in x 17in in the center or whereever. After all done, will save as jpg, so can view/print easily.

View 1 Replies View RelatedCorel Draw X5 (32 bit) ships with gpl ghostscript 8.64 (32 bit). On my PC (win7 ultra x64) is installed gpl ghost script 9.02 (x64) too.
Does CDR use the built-in gs hard-coded or does it read the information from the registry (or some config file), so I could "redirect" CDR to my newer version? I´d like to do this (any problems about x64 ?) and then uninstall gs 8.64 (that came with CDR).
Is it possible to do so and tag here any problems about incompatibilities?
Have the "ignore version" flag on, but I get this weird message:

for ever mesh I've deleted history on.
Wanted to know if there is a way to place pressure pipes at variable depths.
We got inspector notes which show the depths at each end of the pipes.
And I notice that under Pipe Properties, Part Properties tab, and under Geometry there is Start Cover and End Cover.
But both are greyed out.
Is it possible to use Star Cover and End Cover to design the pipes?

Having issues with data shortcutting custom built structure parts? I built a very simple part that has no dimensions and is for plan appearane only (it is a just a rip rap outfall). The part seems to work perfectly in my design file, appearing exactly as I desired with automatic labeling. However, when I data shortcut the pipe network into the plan presentation file, all default pipes and structures are brought in except for the custom built rip rap outfall.
I have tried to delete and reload the data shortcut, changed the part properties, and made sure the parts lists and styles are the same in both drawing files. If I swap the custom part out (in the design file) for a default part, the default part is suddenly displayed in my plan presentation file after synchronizing. It is as if the data shortcut doesn't recognize the custom part, even though it is in the network parts list?

How do I get the built-in PDF plotter quality up to my adobe pdf plotter. I want to do use publisher and make mulitple page pdf's and as I understand it I have to use the built-in plotter to do it. As of right now I have to sperate pages with adobe and then combie them to make a single pdf.

I tried to figure why I know long have the checkerboard transparent background in photoshop CC and I can't make transparency.I read somewhere they change this option I have to do PNG now. ugh really bums me out the white background I am stuck with

We designed id cards (having width:1062 , height:672 pixels and resolution:300) using background of width:2560 and height:1600
Eventhough we use backgrounds with high resolutions,while printing in ID card machine,there are strokes in between.We couldn't get good output.What could i do.

I'm working on a design that seems a bit bland so I thought about adding some texture to the background, though I dont want it to interfere with the foreground elements like text, and images.
1. I can reduce the transparency, what else might I do? Fade it out?

i have a picture of a car and i would like to take some parts of the background out but not all of its how can i do its, i have tryed using Filter>Extract but it dosnt seem to work, and i read on a site that i can use Crop tool but i am not familuar with that tool is their another way to do this.
