View 1 Replies View RelatedI frequently rotate my drawings around the Z axis however when trying to do this in 2013 it only appears to let me rotate at 0,0,0 rather than clicking on 2 points in the drawing to reference the angle at which I wish to rotate to........ Im not sure if this function has changed completely or is there something I need to set to still allow me to do this?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI wanted to know how to rotate an object on a free axis (a line that I create - by two points).
In the image i pointed out the line/axis...
Is it possible to rotate an object along the Y axis as opposed to just rotating in a 2D circle? I know it is possible to simulate 3D rotation, but that takes some tricky maneuvering in some cases. I was wondering if it isn't just a case of holding down a combination of Cntrl & Alt or Shift and dragging a selection point.
I have seen a video where a graphic is created - video is in high speed to show the various steps involved in creating the artwork and there is a section where it looks like the artist/designer rotates a rectangle so that the top left corner appears to be moving "out" of the screen and the right corner towards the "back" of the screen. It doesn't appear to be just a skewing of the object, but in fact it looks like it's in 3D.
I want to know after rigging why should i orient joint in the attribute editor using the channel "joint orientation". Because i can easily fix the rotational axis after rotating the bone and freezing transformation.

View 5 Replies View Relatedive got a problem ive been rotating my original image around in a circle to create a cool effect, yet i want to rotate it back around with the front but how do i do that and keep the same scale. i was measuring the top rotation of of a certain part on the car and bringing it to that each time to keep it the same but now i cant since its not symmetrical
in short terms I need "Gap a" to = "Gap b"
When I save my file that I have edited why do the blending options disappear when I save to a jpeg? I am using CS2

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've hit since upgrading my Photoshop installation from CS5 to CS6 about a week ago. I'm using Lightroom 4.3 and all was fine when I had PS CS5 installed. Since installing CS6, however, Lightroom can no longer find my Photoshop installation and, as a result, all the Photoshop-specific "Edit In..." options offered by Lightroom ("Merge to panorama", "Open as Smart Object", "Open as layers", etc) are greyed out. I use these a lot and would really like to get them back but I can't see anything that lets me point Lightroom at my Photoshop installation other than adding it as a external editor (which doesn't reinstate these options).
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have some imported points and a polyline created with those.
When i try to rotate the pline around a point it seems that some edges are locked?
Even if I copy this pline in an empty area alone and try to rotate it again i get the same resulsts.i tried the move comand with a vertex as a base and the same reults.
I do not know where the edges are locked .
Is it possible to automatically project the x-axis, z-axis or z-axis onto the sketch plane?
I.e. every time you open a new sketch the corresponding lateral and vertical axis will be projected onto the sketch.
I have a part and I need to scale it in the Z-axis only. It is impossible for me to rework the base geometry directly.
I have made some attempts to figure out how to do this on my own but all have failed:Thicken/OffsetCopy Object + Move Bodies + Combine (wouldn’t let me create a solid with Copy Object)Rectangular Pattern + Combine (works but not the desired result. adds a constant offset to the part, not % based, humongous model size)Derived component (uniform scaling only, prefer to modify the original file for file structure reasons)
I want to scale a polyline representation of a foil along one axis only, so that it becomes longer and thinner. Is there a way to do this .

View 3 Replies View Relatedhow do I scale a group of polygons in their local axis? I have seen people doing this fine in Maya.
I have attached an image that explain this clearly. It's a simple cylinder, extruded and when I scale the extruded polygons in local x axis, they get scaled in crazy different axes.
I have some issues with Raster Image lately when I wanted a scanned jpeg of 210 x 297 mm (a4 dimension) that I want to fit into a 180x220 mm rectangular box in Autocad. I have used Photoshop CS 3 to change the image size to 180x220.
However when I insert the Raster Image files, some files are automatically set to 180x220 (as expected) and others are scaled down and I have to re-scale them (reset the scale value to 1, change the x-value and the y-value is automatically changed, but on the overall it is 180x220, sometimes x is more than y or sometimes y is more than x, but within 1-3 mm)
I want to know :
1. What is the best principle or techniques of knowing/changing image dimension (mm)
2. How to be able to scale raster image in x-axis and y-axis independently of one another?
3. Remove white background to neutral background?
I have a cylindrical tube that I need to animate moving 180 degrees around a central axis remote from the cylinder. I also want to create a circular motion locally for the cylindrical tube as it follows the 180 degree arc.I planned on creating the 180 degree rotation first and then the local circular motion second.
When I created the first motion I tried to use an object (another cylinder) as the transform centre for the rotation. As soon as I click on "Auto-key" the "Use transform centre" option is greyed out. I therefore moved the cylindrical tubes own pivot to the required position for centre of rotation. After I created the 180 degree rotation I moved the pivot back so that I could create the local rotation. At this point I find that the original motion has now changed to suit the new pivot point.
how I can get the "Use transform centre" option to work in this instance?
I recently discovered a 'change' to my 'Source Panel' window when I try to Import new files from my CF cards. I have 4.2 installed. All that is available on the left hand side of this window is the 'Other Source' pull down box and never any file source like my hard drives or CF cards or anything that used to be there prior to about a month ago. I reinstalled this program twice without any changes. Have I shut something off by accident? My buddy has the same program and he cannot find any reason my should be any different than his but it is.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have several pillars that I want to scale down to the same size, but I don't want to have to scale them individually or reposition them once I'm done. Is there any way to scale them all without making them move along the axis being scaled? (I should have made them instances of each other. My only problem there is that I couldn't reposition one pillar without moving the others. for future reference, is there a way to temporarily break the instance relationship so on can be edited?)

View 6 Replies View RelatedUsing LR 4.4 on OS X 10.7.5
I have transferred some folders from my internal drive to an external (FW) drive. Whereas most of the transfer worked fine, I had the following problems:
- one folder (at least) completely disappeared from LR. The files were moved to the new HDD (I can see them in Finder), an empty folder remains in LR under the "old" drive and there is nothing in LR at the new position.
- an empty structure remained at the location of the old files
- on some folders, I had the message "could not complete the folder move..." and only part of the pictures (or none at all) were moved.
I recently noticed that Channels-settings in both Group Properties and Blending Options are lost when changing a file from 8bit to 16bit and vice versa.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am using Revit Architecture 2013 and I have a few different design options for the mian level of a house I am working on. I have the North wall of the house in a design option for the living room at the moment. But I have decided I no longer want that wall in the my living room option, I would like to move it to my kitchen design option so I am able to move a window that is located on that wall. I cannot seem to find a way to move a wall from one design option to another or have it in both if it is already part of a design option. How I can get this wall and the windows located on it into my kitchen design layout without having things being double counted in the schedules?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded my mom from PSE5 to PSE11....is there a way to detach the Tool Options from the BOTTOM and move it back up to the top? I'm finding it's confusing her because she likes to have her Photo Bin open at all times and she's used to seeing the Tool Options appear at the top like in previous versions of PSE.
Is there a plugin that can change it or an option someplace I'm missing?
