I'm not sure what happened but I recently lost my Right-Click options showing Select Similar specifically...is there a function key that disables this use? I realize this may be a simple AutoCAD function to fix but you guys are faster than perusing through the book.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've hit since upgrading my Photoshop installation from CS5 to CS6 about a week ago. I'm using Lightroom 4.3 and all was fine when I had PS CS5 installed. Since installing CS6, however, Lightroom can no longer find my Photoshop installation and, as a result, all the Photoshop-specific "Edit In..." options offered by Lightroom ("Merge to panorama", "Open as Smart Object", "Open as layers", etc) are greyed out. I use these a lot and would really like to get them back but I can't see anything that lets me point Lightroom at my Photoshop installation other than adding it as a external editor (which doesn't reinstate these options).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have PS CS6, Bridge 7, and Win 7. I recently installed a copy of PS Elements 10 which I had never used simply to work with a friend who was having difficulties with the program.
Now however, when I right-click on an image in Bridge the only option for "Open with" is Elements 10. How can I get back CS6 as an option? Or even the only option?
I haven't seen this question exactly but when I Click Filter > Liquify, no options appear. What am I doing wrong?
View 13 Replies View RelatedPhotoshop has been crashing on me lately. Glitching. Getting locked in brush mode so I'm unable to click on other options. Not showing brush radius at times etc. It is also opening a "auto recovery" image every time I boot the program which shows as a .psb file that I am unable to find on my computer. Going to the location shown in the save as window seems to not show when I manually go that location on my computer system. I took a screen shot of the file and it's location.

I recently discovered a 'change' to my 'Source Panel' window when I try to Import new files from my CF cards. I have 4.2 installed. All that is available on the left hand side of this window is the 'Other Source' pull down box and never any file source like my hard drives or CF cards or anything that used to be there prior to about a month ago. I reinstalled this program twice without any changes. Have I shut something off by accident? My buddy has the same program and he cannot find any reason my should be any different than his but it is.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI need to use CorelDraw X5 the bigger the pain in the neck the issue becomes.
The tabket is a Wacom Intuos 3 an my pen is set up to have a right click for the lower side button, double click for the upper side button and single click for the nib. In all applications and Windows this works as expected but as soon as I run X5 I lose the right click and it takes several minutes to return after I have quit X5.
While using CorelDraw the only way to get a right click is to hold down the nib to bring up a pop up menu.
Is there a setting in the tablet driver (or CorelDraw?) that will stop this happening?
I recently noticed that Channels-settings in both Group Properties and Blending Options are lost when changing a file from 8bit to 16bit and vice versa.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've spent some time designing a chart using the table tool. Now I want to adjust some column widths and add some text.
However, the mouse keeps trailing a small table icon, and all it will let me do is insert another table. I can't enter text, or highlight a row or column, for example. Most of the right mouse click options are greyed out.
How do I change from this mode for the mouse, with the Table icon switched on, to other modes where I can do other things with the table I have already created?(If I create a new table below this existing table, all is well. However, I can't grab the content in the earlier table to paste it into the new one.)
When I select objects, right click to copy or copy the grips and selection goes away. It stays in the command and I have to reselect my objects. My select similar is also affected. I have this problem for a few days and then it goes away. After a few weeks, it comes back. Noun/verb, implied windowing and object grouping are checked on in my selection modes. C3D2011 v2
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a single drawing that when it is opened with regular AutoCAD (2009), it looses the imageclip every time. If it is opened with Civil 3D (2009), it's fine. The AutoCAD machine can open other drawings without this happening, so I'm thinking it's something drawing dependent.
Audit/purge does not useful.

I needed to check some vehicle turning movements against my design, so I started Civil 3d from the AutoTurn icon. As I was working I noticed that I don't have any Tooltips anymore. I've checked the global tooltip settings in the Civil3d settings, and the Autocad options, and also the tooltip settings for individual objects.
I also found that the glyphs which should appear when snaps are turned on aren't visible, although the snaps do work properly. Once I had finished with the vehicle checks I shut down, and then restarted from the Civil3d icon but the behavior hasn't changed back to normal. I've also tried repairing the installation - next step will be a full reinstall.
I updated software from Civil 3D, 2011 to 2012, a while back. Recently I went back to print a drawing created in 2011 and found that the plot styles that I had made were no longer there. Is there a way to get these plot styles back? I already uninstalled C3D 2011.

On one of the machines here we seem to have lost the functionality of the layer filters. When a group filter is created, it shows in the list, you can add layers to the filter, but when you view the filtered layers, its all the layers. Also, when there are unreconciled layers and you navigate to this filter, it shows the entire layer list. Is there some setting that may have been changed?

Our server went done and our IT people are trying to recover lost cad files.
We have tried in AutoCAD the recover command with no success.
How we can recover these files or recommend a software to recover these files?
I’m having problems editing my pipe network in Civil 3D 2012, as you can see below some of the network parts have all the grips after editing while some of the pipes can only be edited once before I lose the grips. I have tried purge/audit, recover and the bug fix for sp1 that caused pipes to disappear.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a drawing with 13 profile views. 12 of them are working fine.
One profile view has 'lost' all its profiles. It should have one surface profile, and 6 superimposed profiles that are designed by layout in other profile views.
The profiles still show up in prospector and in the profile view properties, but you can't see them in the drawing. The profile view is on the same style as all the others, and the profiles are on multiple styles, but the same as their source profile and others in the drawing that are working fine.
I edited the alignment a little to see if that would 'jog the memory', then I turned all layers on and thawed. Still nothing. Then I superimposed a couple more profiles to see if they would show up. Again, they show in the properties, but do not plot in profile view.
I have a separate drawing with this alignment & profiles shortcut into it, and I'm seeing exactly the same behaviour there too.
I have two alignments with profiles, that when I publish either from the layouts, or from SSM, don't show up in the pdf. This includes the labels. If I do a plot of the individual sheets, they show up fine. There are other alignments using the same styles that publish just fine.
I had to repair the shortcuts to these two alignments. Not sure if that would have anything to do with it. Can't see how, since they plot fine. What's maddening is that I published a set of plans before repairing the shortcuts, and they came out fine.
I restored a previous version which required the shortcut repair, and it does the same thing.
I created a Web Gallery and forgot to update the folder name for the FTP server.
How can I update the saved gallery? If you change module and double click again on the saved gallery icon, the changes are lost.

How do you solve this without the need to delete and save the gallery again?
I have been reading a great deal about all the different options out there for rendering Civil 3D files. I need to not only realistically render static views but also add fly-by and walk throughs. Additionally in the near future I want to be able to add (for example) moving vehicles to static views and fly-bys (sp). It seems that most indications are pointing towards 3DS Max Design 2012. Would this be a correct observation? Aslo, does 3Ds Max Design readily accept native C3D files?

My surface will not rebuild because it can't find the point file originally used. Drawing was used on a different computer system, so the point file directory is now pointed to the wrong path.
View 7 Replies View Relatedi have a drawing i am working and somehow i lost my linetypes that use shape files, anything with text in the linetype work fine. I have tried to reload the shape file, compile it and to no avail. my file directories are pointing in the right direction and everytime i load and compile it goes to correct file and directory.
The reason i say i caused it is they were in the drawing working fine, and 1 or 2 commands later gone, I tried to insert the drawing into a new drawing and that did not work. if i start a new drawing it works fine.
I defined alignments and a surface in Civil 3d, then reopened the same drawing in Autocad 2012 to amend some line work (just because I like drafting in this better). When I next needed to do an inquiry off the surface, I opened the drawing in C3D, but all the alignments and my surfaces were gone! Why doesn't C3D retain alignments/surfaces after you've opened a drawing in Autocad 2012? Would you recommend keeping a separate C3D base drawing for the design work, and another for the drafting? and just xref-ing between the two?
